"Believe it, or believe it not!":     The latest comments from the band - Metal Hammer, July 2011:

(on KK's announcement)

IAN - "Disagreements between members of the band? That never happened before with us - ha! To Be honest, when you're in a band as long as we've been this sort of thing always happens. In the past, though, we've always got over such issues."

ROB - "We had no clue beforehand that KK felt this way. I recall exactly how I felt when he broke the news. It was as if the floor had opened & swallowed me. My mind was going off like a box of fireworks."

IAN - "We'd all agreed this was the way it should be (the last tour). But (it was) his voice that was loudest. I wouldn't say he was behind the plan, but he seemed keener than the rest of us."

GLENN - "I think part of the problem was that he'd had a few injury problems, with his wrist in particular. But it was still something that none of us expected."

ROB - "None of us understood why he was doing this. We were all stunned. I remember lying awake that night, wondering what had happened, why things were going so wrong. But I think Glenn, Ian & I all felt that it would blow over, KK would change his mind & we'd get back on track."

IAN - "That's the reason we never announced this in the first place. We all went round to see him, all phoned him & did our best to persuade him to come back."
 
GLENN - "We wanted to give him as much time as we could. In the end we came close to messing everything up, because we gave him too much time. There was never the slightest indication from KK that he might come back, but we held on to the notion that he must return. It couldn't all end like this."

ROB - "My initial reaction was that it was over for Priest. It surely was the end, as we couldn't go on without KK. But then it dawned on me that this band is a lot bigger than any one member; we had to carry on."

GLENN - "We had a meeting & a choice to make. Either we stopped Judas Priest right now, or we looked for a new guitarist. Thankfully, all of us agreed that we owed it to ourselves & the fans to carry on."

IAN - "He's not coming back. I've talked to him a lot recently & I know he has no interest in doing anything in music again. This won't come up. It's over."

GLENN - "The door will never be shut on him. If KK says he's up for a reunion, then we'll never dismiss it."

ROB - "I would welcome him with open arms. I know it would be difficult for Richie, but... when I returned [in 2003], Ripper graciously handed me the microphone & bowed out."

OMG!

I have to say straight off the bat, that as i got my first message and seing KK's name, i went cold. To read on and get the news, i was just relived to hear that , well u know , he is alive! I thought the worst, it was only a short time ago when i opened a message about Gary Moore, and well that didnt go down well i can tell you. I guess my message in all this is, lets not jump up and down about this. I mean yes its terrible, but i think, for me that is, after going through all the crap when Rob left, and Ripper joined , the fans , hmmmm well lets just say this. We all love our band, they have given us all since day 1. We dont need to know all the in and outs on this, cos its personal to the people we hold very close to our metal hearts. Let the people this relates to deal with it with our blessing, and hope that all can be happy with the outcome, then its up to us to except the news and show our selfs as the best and most loyal fans by supporting our band to the max!

I love Judas Priest , i love the music, and the people in it, and the people around it , to keep it going, lets all support them so it continues on, for as long as the guy's wish to do so! 

If they tour Australia , ( PLEASE DO ) i will be there, just as i was when they came with Ripper, and again with Rob... Yes folks , in oz they have only played twice..... My point is get out there and support our band, and if your not happy with the changes , remember to respect the reasons for it and do not hang it on them.

I know and trust that all we need to hear on this will be given to us on this and Kens web site, i dont need to know anymore than that.

Ken, all the best to you mate, and what ever this is, lets hope it clears up, and you get to plesure us with your music, in what ever shape our form it comes to us in, as long as it comes, you are an icon that we are lucky to of known and seen...

Judas Priest just got plugged on Pardon the Interruption (P.T.I.) on ESPN..  They were interviewing the new Head Coach of the Detroit Lions and he said he was a big fan of 80's Heavy Metal including Judas Priest and Iron Maiden.

But Judas Priest was singled out by Michael Wilbon, a host of the show..

Chicago - Last Night

Idk if any of you Metal Heads were there, but last evening at the Charter One Pavillion I was in slack jawed awe at times.

Pop Evil - was a decent nice opener, my crew and i enjoyed them.

Whitesnake- Suprised the heck out of me. was enjoyable

Judas Priest- Well, I have zero complaints and Rob's Highs were longer and clearer. and the band seemed to be just having a blast. there was 5000 ish in a 8000 seat venue. and the crowd was really into the show, it was a "sing a long with the priest" . If anyone out there is on the fence about going to see this gig...i tell ya Go! It was great great fun.. my friend took lots of pics, but these are my fave.
