I was reading today where it was mentioned that he was improving and had been writing material
for a new album. That doesn't mean it wasn't still related but it sounds like they are blaming or
leading us to believe it was liver failure due to the spider bite but it very well could have come
from something else.
Drinking could have caused it.

They released information on their website saying he died from complications from the spider bite.
When I went to Mayhem last year I found out that day that he wasn't in the band and that he had been bitten by a spider and had
"flesh eating disease" so my guess would be yes.
I was kind of bummed to hear that yesterday. I've liked Slayer since around 1986. "Reign In Blood" era.

Holy shit! A true guitar god has passed. Does anyone know if the liver failure that he died from is connected to that skin disease he has had for the past couple of years?
