LOL @ HB  so how was the snow fall....????????????  and you say I live in winter peg?????   Just kiddin..
I saw pictures of the snow in Canmore, Even though I hate snow.. It did look beautiful.

So hows it going on youre side of the country?????

Yeah Testamant thier sound wasnt that great.. The singer was distorted even.. Alot of people at the MTS center got up into thier 2nd song, and went out to the refreshment area, and stood out there until they were done..  I watched them play, But I wasnt that Impressed. Couldnt make out 1 word to any song they sang, the singer sounded like he had the mic in his mouth....  I was worried that the hole concert was going to have a bad sound... But when the Priest came on.  They were clear as a BELL.  So IDK???

anywse take care good to see you out here..

Hugs Mg~

Saw Judas Priest at Download 2008 and i thought they were amazing, i come to look at their tour dates and they are not touring in England! Is there a reason for this!? NOT TOURING IN YOUR HOME COUNTRY!!!!

[Return_of_Darth_Painkiller_0870] Thursday, August 07, 2008 12:27:30 AM
Maple, they didn't play Grinder tonight.  But I think it's b/c they had to go with the short set-list to accomodate the idiotic Camden, NJ noise ordinance law.  Concert was done by 11pm, and we only got 16 out of maybe 21 songs from Priest.  I'm not complaining about the short list, but if anything, I am only mentioning the stupid noise ordinance law.
[Norrdika] Wednesday, August 06, 2008 9:27:30 PM

Did anyone do the VIP ticket and fan experience?  I'm going to the 8/18 show at DTE which is in Michigan.  I have the VIP tickets and I am beyond excited.  I never thought I would have the opportunity to meet the metal masters.  It's a dream come true!  I would love to hear from anyone who had the same opportunity.

[Vanvittig] Wednesday, August 06, 2008 8:34:48 PM
Anyone going to Jones Beach for the 8/10 show?  I'm heading down from VT, 10 hours by train traveling solo, and I'd love to meet up with some folks before the show.
[Maple Syrup] Tuesday, August 05, 2008 8:05:19 AM
Dave: I havent seen any setlists from Seattle mentioning Grinder was incl. Can you confirm this? I checked metalsetlist.com and it has no mention of Grinder....
Just checking as I am seeing Priest in five days. MSyrup

Priest started their U.S. tour in Seattle tonight...

Two Words: Fucking Epic!
Three Words: Kept European Setlist!
Four Words: Better than Iron Maiden!

I know, I know - that last comment will probably generate some controversy. But hey, I've seen both bands plenty of times going back 20+ years and this gig was the best Priest gig I think I have ever seen (and that's a bold statement). Here's the particulars:

01. Dawn of Creation
02. Prophecy
03. Metal Gods
04. EAT ME ALIVE
05. Between the Hammer & the Anvil
06. Devil's Child
07. Breaking the Law
08. Hell Patrol
09. Death
10. DISSIDENT FUCKING AGGRESSOR
11. Angel
12. The Hellion/Electric Eye
13. Rock Hard, Ride Free
14. SINNER
15. Painkiller
----------------
16. Hell Bent for Leather
17. THE GREEN MANALISHI
18. You've Got Another Thing Coming

I'm spewing.. after being a fan for 28 years Priest announce thy will cancel their New Zealand concert due to freight and logistic issues (hell it's about the music to me, i'd be quite happy to see them plug in and rip without the show)  after i've shelled out over $200 on flights and accomodation that I could of used to contribute to a flight to see the band in australia. this is the first time priest have been to this part of the world and they wont be back
[mgdman] Saturday, August 02, 2008 7:31:42 PM

Sorry you have to wait Sweaty, but they just are doing festivals this summer and half the Southern US is unhappy with the situation as well, but give the guys some slack. They are not exactly getting younger. They will get there rest assured.

You American/Greek fans are very lucky. We guys in the UK have to wait until sometime in 2009 before we have the pleasure, with no dates released yet. Will be booking at least 2 of the Uk tour shows to make up for it!!

What is a spapad anyway ?.....NEVERMIND, i don't want to know, but then i might, depends.      Headline   Headline  Headline......                                                            Judas Priest just smoked down Seattle and the town is still smoldering, i was 4th row center and i couldn't get enough so get your tickets now before it's too late and remember this....If you are caught going to the Pet Shop Boys show you will be stripped out of 4000 brownie points and thrown into the Bimbo closet for three days and only allowed to listen to Culture Club and Wham cd's until your punishment is over where as you will have to wear a New Kids On The Block t-shirt for an additional week without washing it with an added Insync stick pin on the collar.
[ThisCorrosion] Thursday, July 24, 2008 2:17:20 PM
I wish they would come to the UK sometime soon and if they do it would be nice if they come up north. Maiden have deserted us northerners, I hope Priest don't.

[EriktheRed9] Wednesday, July 23, 2008 8:45:17 PM
Judas Priest just smoked the house down here in Seattle, they were so choice and K.K wiped out the most balls lead in the song Sinner, just ripping it down the tremelo dives into harmonic minor blending psycho bending pentatonic fire.I was going nuts, then Glen nails the Painkiller lead note for note as Halford was right on it.I never wanted it to end and the energy was straight back in the day it was so bomb.I'm still spun on it 20hrs later, why did they have to leave?
[spapad] Wednesday, July 23, 2008 5:42:11 PM
Awesome Jimmy, Did anyone start throwing fire like they do at football, or used to do?  Glad you had such a great time, I cant not wait to go, I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas to come!

OMFG, i think i pooped out my spleen. definitely dislocated some internal organs.

i've seen them on almost every tour (no Ripper) since '83 and it's never been that hard and loud. they played about 1:45.

Rob's got some sweet threads for this tour.

Set List: (not in exact order, i wasn't writing them down :) )

Dawn of Creation,
Prophecy - (Rob kicked much ass on this, crowd went nuts),
Metal Gods,
Eat Me Alive,
Dissident Aggressor,
Love Bites,
Jawbreaker,
Sinner,
Death,
Breaking the Law,
Devil's Child,
Electric Eye,
Rock Hard, Ride Free,
Painkiller,
Angel,
Between the Hammer and the Anvil,
Touch of Evil,

encore:
Hell Bent For Leather,
Green Manalishi,
You've Got Another Thing Coming.

i might have missed a couple. i want to say they play Screaming and Freewheel Burning but i honestly don't remember...
-----

oh yeah, Testament opened. *yawn* it was loud, but i think it was one 50 minute long song with a few pauses.

try to make the songs sound a little different guys...

Hi, everybody!

I visited JP concert in Bucharest July 11th and it was just great! I envy all Americans for the shows they are gonna see! Judas Priest are in excellent fit, Rob sings heavenly! This was my second JP live show and I hope that next year they will not skip BULGARIA! PLEASE, COME TO BULGARIA! THERE IS A HUGE NUMBER OF JP FANS HERE!
[Richard Green] Wednesday, July 23, 2008 2:14:10 AM
You should have been in Seattle this evening. The band was magnificent, kicking off their American tour. They are the Metal Gods. This was a good crowd tonight and the band did not disappoint. The new Nostradamus material went over well. The stage and light show rocked. The sound was excellent. The crowd stood the whole time. The band seemed genuinely excited and happy after the last encore. FYI, no long sleeve shirts for sale but plenty of other merchandise.
[scorpion01] Tuesday, July 22, 2008 1:58:43 PM

18 DAY!!! OH I CANT WAIT.
When the power chords come crashing down
Go tearing through my senses
It's for the strong, not for the weak
In light and dark dimensions

It stimulates, regenerates
It's therapeutic healing
It lifts our feet up off the ground
and blasts us through the ceiling

Between the eyes
I hear it screaming
And it electrifies
Your inner feelings

Hot shock waves charge the air
All heads are banging
Fists pumping everywhere
Guitars are cranking

Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal
What do you want
Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal
What do you want

Ten thousand lights come blazing down
With razor sharp precision
The speakers pour out molten steel
The beat gives double vision

An armour plated raging beast
That's born of steel and leather
It will survive against all odds
Stampeding on forever

Between the eyes
I hear it screaming
And it electrifies
Your inner feelings

Hot shock waves charge the air
All heads are banging
Fists pumping everywhere
Guitars are cranking

Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal
What do you want
Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal
What do you want

I WANT MY JUDAS PRIEST HEAVY METAL
IT'S GREAT TO BE A PRIEST FAN

We are all a part in this Judas Priest project ,rec.company , the artists of course. Its strong. All the fans. Other workers.Consumers, etc, etc. Hearts is beating for all this. The music is the fundament. Its good. I like it to. But i dont like that you seem to have difficulties with speaking out of beards on this tour how whas it last night. Is Glenn ok. Is he alive. Where are the photos. Have a nice weekend.

Has anyone else noticed how reasonbley priced the tickets are?

I'm from Melbourne, AUS, and I'm used to paying $120 + to see an international act. For Priest, I picked up two tickets for $60 each! I know there is silver and gold seating that attract different prices. But I'm really impressed that there are still tickets that I can afford.

In fact, $60 was so good I decided to get two tickets and take my 12 year old daughter to her first concert!

I'd like to thank the band, tour promoter or whoever it was that decided to let some tickets go at a very good price.

What can i say... i must be luckiest person in whole world, after all these years i will see Judas Priest in my hometown. You may say, whats so special with that? Well belive me that its not same feeling when you travel to some other country to see a band you love, and when that same band comes to you, its way much better feeling (altought ticket price is same as if you would travel to other country). So i just need to be patient for 4 more days xD PRIEST!!!!!!

Good one Paper. If someone had told me last night what the very short near future held for me I would have had to shoot them. My dog had cluster siezures starting around 3:00 am and was still having them when I could get her to the vet in the morning. I did'nt go to bed till Midnight last night and then right back up at 3:00 am so I am way tired and can not go to sleep right now because the dog is back with me tonight and I'm on siezure watch. I least I have some valium to give her , along with her other drugs, if it happens again tonight. I am a zombie, but it's all for a good cause.

I think the answers to your questions would require a crystal ball, or the man, Nostradamus himself, (and even then you would have to translate his quatrains).
Lets just see what the futures holds since non of us are prophets.

Anyone out there know where and when the new album will be played completely live?  Anyone think painkiller should come out of the set list in exchange for nostradamus? Should there or will there be a live dvd of the nostradamus album?

if they would play memphis, little rock and jackson,ms i could see them 3 times, hopefully they will add a second leg of US tour and play at least one of these cities. however i dont want to see Nastrodamus in it's entirety and the some favorites. i like the set they are playing now, with a few exceptions' i would like to see Metal Gods, Breaking the law and ygatc taken out and replaced with maybe solar angels, rock forever,genocide,etc............

I'm just duely estastic that our Metal Gods have included little ole New Zealand for the first time ever. I've been waiting since I was 13 years old to see them and just can't believe it.    I'm gonna be in the front row if I can.
OMG it's just gonna go off.  I'd been saving up to get to Australia this time round and now don't have to... thank you thank you.  yes! yes!

Does anyone know why the southeast is being left off of the TOUR Schedule. Also, could it be possible that  PRIEST will add a second leg to the TOUR that will cover Al., Ga., Fl., La., Ms., S.C., and Tenn. etc.

The folks who are saying that JP are ignoring the midwest, well, they are playing Kansas City on 8/1 and St. Paul on 8/2 (well that's the upper midwest).  But KC is pretty well in the heartland.  I'm so happy they're coming here, when I heard it I got right on the computer and got a ticket.  They are playing with Drowning Pool, Jackyl and Federation of Horsepower.  Hurry, tickets are going fast, there are only 10,000!  Come out to KC and party with us!

The Metal Masters Tour has to do with every band involed, not just Priest! Plus they are trying to play all the open air venues they can squeeze into such a short space ot time like summer. You are not forgotten. They will return. They always do.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by mattc from Wednesday, June 18, 2008 3:35:39 PM)

I'll be seeing the Metal Masters tour in August.  From what I've read, since Priest and Sabbath (H&H) are co-headlining, both bands will only play 90 min each.  Priest is sticking to a normal setlist and adding a few gems they haven't played in years (Rock Hard Ride Free is one of them).  Once this short tour is over, Priest will do a FULL ON headlining tour and perform Nostradamus in it's entirety, have an intermission, then play some popular tunes.
[LiveFromThePit] Thursday, June 19, 2008 10:08:24 AM

LiveFromThePit will be attending Metal Masters on August 30, 2008 at the Glen Helen Pavilion in CA. The venue is massive and it will be a homecoming with a reminder of the first time I saw Judas Priest there at the US Festival in 1983. Lack of sleep will prevail as the date approaches. Standby for a comprehensive review on www.LiveFromThePit .com

On wednesday I've been for the first time in my life to a Judas Priest show. First time I listened to them was when I was at the age of 11, that was in 1994. It was a dream come true, it was great, super!!! Best concert of my life. The played almost all my favourite songs and when they did play Electric Eye I completely freaked out. I hope I can see them again soon. Great Band, great show!!!

make the most of it america..... priest were formed 1 hours drive from me in bermingham and no dates to show us fans that have followed them for many years is a load of bollox. i hope jayne andrews reads this post and sorts something out A.S.A.P. the new album sounds a classic so us brits will just have to wait until priest have exhausted america and hope there is enough left in the tank for a uk show.
