Sniff. I'll miss it now that it is over. I thought the start was going to be like the Germany v. Brazil fiasco. I was in Spain in the plaza mayor of Madrid at the time and thought the start of this game was going the same way.
LLoydzilla is right!!!!! Glad they brought Wambaugh and some of the Swan Song players back on at the end. Even gave Abby the captain's armband. Nice touch. Classy to honor the Japanese players by making that "tunnel" as well as they went up for the silver.

Exactly right. USA is dominating. Just that simple act of putting it in the back of the net! Same problem with France, though. Too many chances in the first half but lost it in the second.

HOLY CRAP!!!! AMERICAN PHAROAH!! CUDOS!!
That was so difficult to pull off that it isn't funny. I was in a Best Buy at the time watching it on a 4K TV and they even kicked in the Bose surround for me and the crowd who were cheering on that horse. As a runner, I liked the article ("Wired" mag) that put it all into perspective. As a runner, I laughed but understood how you couldn't give a horse GU during a race and how the majority (all?) of the field didn't run the first two major races making it unfair from the beginning. All the more impressive that AP proved the below wrong by a long-shot! Glad to have seen the following proven wrong today as a runner and a fan. Now if only CHI would have won tonight...oh well.
