We just met the entire band in the hotel this morning in Cleveland!! Glenn and Richie talked to us for quite a while and Glenn asked about our sons. We waited another hour and then Rob came down the elevator. I know he was running late to get to New York, but he stayed and talked to us anyway. He is such a gentleman. Mark told him that I'd been waiting 29 years for a hug and he said, "Well come here - I wouldn't wait 29 years!" But it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT let me tell you!! The entire band signed the banner that we made too. What a perfect way to end our triple Priest feast!!
And I don't care what people say about Rob's voice - at all 3 shows that I went to from where I was standing he was F'ING AWESOME!!! People around us were going nuts and in complete awe by his incredible voice!

I'm not sure too many care about my football posts so I'll (try) to make this my last one for awhile.
I went to the Pitt Panthers/Cinci Bearcats game yesterday in Pittsburgh. I went up so I could watch Cinci
quarterback Zack Callaros. He played for Steubenville a few years back and went 30-0 with two state
championships. He's a senior and this was probably my last chance at seeing him play football so I had
to go. Man, what an awesome game. He got hit early in the game and was laying on the field and I thought
he was done. I was devastated and was considering leaving. He came back on the next series though
and ended up having a decent game (-2 interceptions). Early in the third Pitt was winning 23-10 and I was
starting to think it was over. They came back however, getting an interception and a fumble recovery to
take the lead early in the fourth. They had to hang on at the end. Pitt's final drive started on the 16 yard line
and they drove all the way to the 33 in less than two minutes. With (about) 14 seconds to go Pitt went for the
tie with a 50 yard field goal attempt. He made a 52 yarder early in the game so I was thinking it would go.
He missed it and Cinci got the win. Freakin' awesome. Last year Pitt won at Cinci and celebrated after the
game by doing snow angels on Cinci's turf, stomping the logo, and singing their fight song. Well, revenge
is sweet and Cinci returned the favor by mimicking the snow angel thing and stomping on the Pitt logo.
That was so fun to watch. Peace all.

Steubenville Big Red went 10-0 during the regular season and won their first playoff game tonight 68-13.
They play a very good team next week and Ohio high school playoffs last 5 weeks so they have a long way to go.
This was their 7th undefeated season in 9 seasons and two weeks ago their coach got win no. 300 after 29 years.
That's a 10-2 (average) for nearly 30 years. That's freakin' impressive.(even if only to me)
I've been going for 25 of those years and man they're fun to watch. I don't even watch the pros anymore. I get more
enjoyment out of this. ROLL RED!!!

Rob with the Wings flag in full resolution would be too much. Especially in Hockeytown. My only fear is that he might not follow hockey and think that there might be someone actually hostile to the Wings in their home stadium. Best get word to Scott that it is a non-issue. Imagine the screams THAT move would generate. "Kick ass" doesn't begin to describe it were it to happen.

is right!! "Oh, it's upside down, well, never mind"...... I remember him also saying that all their cups were wider on the top than on the bottom so that's why he put it down that way. Gee, couldn't he see all the names engraved on the rings with the cup above them not to mention how it was strapped onto the bike coming in??? Oh, but he practiced with a coffee maker.....
That's right, it was Quincy that righted it IMMEDIATELY!

vancouver show was fantastic!!!!! the boys outdid themselves !!!! ritchie looked like he was having a ball and was the focus of attention for most of the night as glenn, mostly stayed over on the leftside of the stage with ian . i wont tell you about the stage show as i dont want to ruin the surprise for others still going but...... WOW!!!! rob seemed to be favouring his left leg ? motorcycle mishap still bugging him?? but still moved around alot and covered the whole stage , thin lizzy was great and BLS was good also except for the zac wylde solo which went from a fine display of skills to an uncomfartable amount of time on stage , almost shouting look at me look at me!! 5-7 minutes long ?? anyway bittersweet seeing them and realizing it could be the end of decades of live music from them . but they left with a bang ! thanks guys for the great tunes , great times and the memories

That's funny "try not to break a rib". When I saw Priest for the 30th tour in Cleveland my brother in law kept hitting the guy in front of him in the back of the head while he was pumping his fist in the air. The guy was cool about it and knew it was not on purpose. The seats were so close together it could not be helped.

Also why I bought all my goods ahead of time. Dilemma, though. I already bought the shirt with nothing on back. I saw that they were selling it at the concert. I bought the booklet before the concert, and had it stand on the floor and lean onto the chair in front of me while I stood up, looking down at it between songs to make sure it was still there. Thanks to said booklet I was able to get that guitar pick from Thin Lizzy guitarist Damon Johnson. He threw it and it fell on the floor but it kept bouncing, finally stopping when it hit the booklet. In this case, buying merch before the concert had a benefit: being the pick-stopper.
PS: The Epitaph tour shirt has the names of the countries Priest played in this year.

Black Label Society were just fucking intense!!!, they have such a "take no prisoners" stage show, they`re not for the faint of heart!
Thin Lizzy were great as well, my son coaught a pick of theirs! Nearly got one of Richies also!

I don`t have any BLS in my collection, so I can`t recomend a specific CD, but I`ll be getting some asap! Suicide Messiah was cool , but sadly that`s the only song I know the correct title of.

Something making you happy......yeah,I got to "eat" today! Yes,I haven't eaten in 3 days because of acid reflux disease I've had for years that now caught up with me again. Just seen my Doc. ect...so I'm in the right direction but not being able to eat and being soooo hungry watching other people eat at ease is excruciatingly envious and frustrating.
It surely makes my other worries seem unimportant and makes me realize that just being able to eat without pain is just as good as any kind of luxury. I had a Porter House steak, potato, bread, salad the whole works and it was so good it is impossible to discribe! I'd rather eat without acid reflux than win the freaking lottery no lie.

I guess I shouldn't have used the word hate. I'm just used to negative comments about him and kind of
generalized it into everyone hating him. No man boob flashing either just extremely lucky sometimes.
Last night's was probably the coolest just because I got the only one given out. I mentioned a couple of
weeks ago that I had one case left but I found a Trouble pick that I forgot about so now I have to buy a
dozen more for one pick. I do know that I don't share the same taste as most here when it comes to
music but anyone reading this that likes Dio, If you get the chance to see this go. I can just about guarantee
that you will like this. I've seen quite a few bands the last couple of years and you guys have heard most of
my opinions about them. I can honestly say this was one of the better shows I've seen.

Great singer and great guy from all I have heard. Glad you enjoyed the show. Guess I'll not be seeing those extra pick cases anytime soon, ya lucky bastich! Thanks for the review, though.

Sometimes Ripper would sing, sometimes Toby Jepson would, and sometimes they sang together. That was

was cool too. We were dead center leaning against the stage. I was too close to video, my camera kept shutting off.
That was about the only bad thing. That and the power going out and everything stopped working for a few minutes.
The band walked off stage and I thought that might be it. Turns out they had to wait for the keyboards to reboot.
The house gave free beer while everyone waited.(I only had one) We were so close to the band that I had too keep
moving my hands so Ripper wouldn't step on them. I even thought I was about to get hit in the face with a mic stand once.
There was many times where they(band) were actually leaning overtop of me and I had to look straight up to see them.
Craig Goldy didn't throw out a single pick. He used the same one all night. At the end the band was slapping hands with
everyone and when Craig was in front of me I asked him if I could have that pick and he handed it too me. I thought
that was pretty cool. I think they are doing about a dozen more shows. If any one here gets the chance, you really
should check this out. I only got about three hours sleep last night and I'm off to work but it was so worth it. Peace.

I hear ya on that one! Everyone around me always saying, "OMG! Did you hear Avenged Sevenfold's song 'BLAHBLAHBLAH' " or any other current Metal act.. (Granted, I did enjoy their last album 'Nightmare, w/ Mike Portnoy!) And I just look at them and shake my head.. I mean, yes, it's good, but c'mon, it's not real Metal.. I'm hearing a lot of better things from an underground level than what these "newer" acts are doing in cross-country tours & internationally. Like how a bunch of my friend's are all Ga-Ga about A Day To Remember, and I just wanna punch them in the face and tell them that their music isn't no where near real Metal...
I haven't heard much of them. Get the impression that they are one of the new breed of metal bands that are more style than substance with designer tatts and $300 haircuts, average musicianship, cliched songs etc. Could be wrong though, but as far as new stuff goes the best of it is coming from the underground scene. Most of these young mainstream metal acts are shit I think. I feel the same about Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me The Horizon, Rise To Remain etc.
