Thanks for the kind words, everyone (in public as well as in private). Sweet Leaf, just like the couple of other betta fish I had in the past, has a permanent place in my heart. She was a small bundle of surprises, especially since she was the first female betta fish that I ever bought (and the biggest eater of chalupas). She was also the most aggressive fish that I kept, hence the one nickname I give her everytime I'm about to leave my apartment: my guard-fish!

LOL, I cant wait to see the foundling. Ya know, I bought my first Australian Cattledog, because he, when he was a pup, had that same "look of the devil in him my Husky Wend had when I got her. She had one blue eye, and one brown, and so did Maxwell! They both were hellions as babies! Max seemed like Wendy, given back to me and a little more of a homebody than she was. The sticker I got a long time ago. It's stuck to one of my portfolios. The statue of the "Bluey" looked so much like my first ACD Maxwell, I had to have it. Lucy is the first non-cattledog I've owned in over 20 years, and she's lovely!

I have a crate, and no she's no puppy although she was so thin when I got her you could mistake her for that. She has a tail wound I am trying to heal, and it's almost done. She got it from being in a crate for far too long and banging her tail on the cage. So I don't want to crate her right now. Most important thing is get that tail healed. I think I shall have to improvise though if it continues to be an issue. She's just so attached she hates to be alone, and we just saw it today! I suspected this may happen from the time I brought her home, but in 11 days it had not. Now, it's an issue I will have to address if it continues.

My first Cattledog was everything I could ask for in a dog, he was loyal, smart, loving, and loved to play. But when I got Bella she turned out to be the "AntiMax" she was headstrong, destructive, and also had health problems, but that didn't make me love her less at all. I fought for her durring the short time she had on this earth. I was shattered when I lost her.
Now I have Lucy, and god sent me a special angel! She's so much like Maxwell, maybe even smarter.
