Innocence Is No Excuse album.(1985)...."Rock The Nations".(1986)....and Destiny(1988) albums are not good at all,mid 80's hair band type of B.S.
1990 "Solid Ball Of Rock" has a couple of good tunes but the other half is unworthy songs....same goes for the next album 1992 "Forever Free"...half of it is good,the other half is not. Saxon's first 5 albums are good with only maybe 1 or 2 songs on each that is not(8 songs out of 10 is not bad) and Saxon's last 7 studio albums are excellent,again with maybe an exception of 1 or 2 songs that are not up to the quality as the rest of the album,but again if an album has 10 or 11 tracks on it and you don't like 2 of them,thats still an albums worth of good material.That being said,I would recommend 12 Saxon LPs to Saxon fans.

SAXON 2009
Judas Priest will always be the masters,but Saxon are truly the most underrated band in the world of heavy metal.
They are buried underneath Judas Priest Iron maiden and Motorhead in the U.K. They should have Iron maiden's popularity because Saxon's last 7 studio albums blows away Iron Maiden's last 9 studio albums by far. |

Damn,6 times you've seen them live....I'd kill to see them once,but living in the Sates I will never get the chance! To bad they could'nt get on a tour with JP,Iron maiden or Motorhead over here to expose the band more. They definitly are underrated. I think Lionheart is thier best album too,then "The Inner Sanctum" would be my next choice.

Judas Priest will always be my favorite band. But with thier decision to move on away from "heavy metal" with "Nostradamus"(which is not a heavy metal album)and the question if they will ever return to heavy metal........(which I doubt).......SAXON are the "New Kings Of British Heavy Metal" in my book. |

SAXON "The Inner Sanctum" 2007
Saxon's The Inner Sanctum is one of Saxon's best LPs of the band's 29 year career!!!! If anyone wants some good old fasion british heavy metal done the traditional way,then I advise you all to buy this album,all 10 tracks are excellent Saxon classics and the atmosphere here is just supurb.
Fucking excellent A+ all the way, great job SAXON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heh, well yea.. maybe you would enjoy living here. Lots of death metal bands here, and some black metal too... and that sort of stuff. And many popular bands come to play in Finland. From the old greats, this year there has been/will be Saxon, Priest, Maiden, Scorpions, Kiss, Leppard, Whitesnake, Slayer (I think) et cetera... Just to name few.

SAXON THE EAGLE HAS LANDED PART 2!!!!!
Yes "Judas-Is-Rising".......I already own it!!!!! Have for a while these days,incredible album and my favorite track from here is "Iron Wheels" from the mediocre LP "Forever Free".......very creative live album,much under rated by all means!!!!!
