FRIENDS
Choose friends wisely, the portrait they paint
Is who you are and who you ain't.
Friendship is life's great support
When friends are of the right sort.
For all your dreams do they make room.
Or bring you down with doom and gloom?
You will know a friendship is true
When it brings out the best in you. |

When I speak my mind,

they call me a BITCH.
Being a BITCH means I won't compromise what's in my heart. It means I live my life MY way. It means I won't allow anyone to step on me. When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak against it, I am defined as a BITCH. The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being everyone's maid, or when I act a little selfish.
It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of what they think I "should" be. I am outspoken, opinionated and determined.
I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that! So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me. You won't succeed. And if that makes me a BITCH, so be it. I embrace the title and am proud to bear it.

CORRECTION: Excuse my excitement!!! You're absolutely correct Freeze...but what I said bout the song is true, it just stuck out to me.
I commented to Mike about the song Delivering The Goods when I should have directed it to Rick.
Rick, please excuse my ignorance...yes I read it, but like a kid on Christmas I listened to the disc and commented without going back to the sleeve to check the credits. Please accept my appologies as I totally fouled that up.
You guys will see that when you hear the disc in it's entirety, just like KK and Glenn, things meld seemlessly together with Forged Steel. I honestly don't pick up any noticeable differences...they both sound great and you can hardly tell them apart.
Anyway, I feel like a shmuck now, but that's my problem. I am going to leave now and listen to the music before I screw something else up... |

I made this post in the DF / MM / MP Project thread, but i know the newbies can't post there but may have recieved a copy of the FAITHFUL DEFENDERS latest release Forged Steel and may want to hear and make a comment about it. So, this is my first post...
Mike, Phil, Jim, Rick, Johnn and Doug...what can I say!!!!! I am now on my second listen of Forged Steel and I couldn't be happier!!! Not having listened to Raw Steel, I wasn't sure what to expect. As soon as Judas Rising started, I got chills down my spine!!!
Phil...you played your ass off on every song, man. I had no idea how well you played. I've heard a lot of Priest covers in my time, and you by far outplayed every one of them. What you did on The Rage was unfuc&inbelievable!!!
Jim and Doug...Too bad you both can't be on at the same time, You guys didn't miss a beat. From Never Satisfied to Demonizer, you were balls on!!!
Mike...can you hit some notes or what!!! You sang your ass of as well. I couldn't help but sense you had a lot of fun singing Delivering The Goods (especially)!! I'm sure they were all fun to do, but that particular recording had a groove to it that you seemed to pick up on and it just flowed naturaly through you.
Johnn and Rick...You're vocals compliment Mike and the music perfectly!! Johnns' bass work was dead on as well!!
I could add a lot more to this, and will as others get the chance to post there comment's, but I don't want to be a spoiler here!!!
I need to say this about one of the unsung heroes here...Guido!!! What a fantastic design to to the cover and back sleeve!!! It's such a classic look with a modern feel to it...outstanding job, man!!! I want to say more about this as well, but not yet!!! Dude...you nailed it!!!!
Well...this is all I have to say about it for now...I can't wait to hear what some of you other's have to say about it!!!!
Also...I got two copies so I can give one to my daughter and I noticed a very noticeable difference between the two. I'm not gonna reveal the difference yet as I want to see if other's who recieved two or more copies have anything different on their's as well (it has nothing to do with the CD itself or the recording's on it). Someone who only recieved one could tell, as it is obvious, but I'm hoping that my copy is the only one like it...........
Awesome job guys and I can't believe anyone else could say anything different...THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!! |

I have to say, I'm finding all the information and footage of the massive rallies and protests in Iran against Ahmadinejad awe inspiring. It's reminded me of a quote on the monument at Bannockburn battlefield in Scotland, where Robert the Bruce led the Scots to their freedom: We fight not for glory, nor wealth, nor honour, but only and alone we fight for freedom, which no man surrenders but with his life. |

With the analog signal? Lucky!! If I try to use it, all I would get are these infomercials on how to install the converter box. There's one channel that just has an image that says, "Make the switch to digital today!". Good luck on finding more channels!! The images were fuzzy, but at least it held on despite the weather outside.
Oh, well...this technology is pretty new (correct me if I'm wrong). Maybe there will be improvements in the future. For now we'll just have to deal with the distorted images, I guess. | | guidogodoy wrote: | | You anticipated my only comment. The damn weather. Whereas before I could still pull in the locals when my sat. went out, now I lose ALL tv when it gets windy / rainy, etc.
That really sux! One of the only reasons I still have the old analog hookup complete with antenna rotator and all. While a better image, I would prefer to have the old signal as it wouldn't go out as the current one does with all the storms we get. I now lose all signals with a strong fart. CALVIN!! | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | So...today was the" big transition" from analog to digital signals for TVs. Any thoughts on the new DTV signal? This Stanley Cup final was the first game (and first TV program in general) I ever saw with this new signal. My TV, antenna, and converter box were ready for this day. After watching the game and watching not only the game, but the behavior of the TV in general, I came up with a verdict: better than I expected! The images were crystal clear, as if I had cable and not the basic local channels. I could see the puck and the faces of the players much better than with the old analog signal, which was fuzzy at best. The only gripe I have is that the signal was very sensitive to changes in the weather. It was pretty windy outside when the game was entering its second period, and the signal would get messed up, freezing the image for a few seconds. Other than that, I think it's a change for the better. |

A pox on those telecommunication bastards and their oily hides! (shaking fist wildly)
Well, on the plus side at least housing is cheap here in the middle of nowhere... I have to freakin' lease my modem / router! It cheeses me off to no end. I could have bought one of these cheap pieces 'o crap 10x over by now.
Still have only one room with a real TV and, get this, have to open the window to pick up XM as the sat signal doesn't work through an argon gas filled window.
