Yeah I don't think it should have been removed either, but I suppose it was up to management or whoever decided to remove it. I dunno.

The link shouldn't have been removed, IMO. It gives the impression that management no longer cares about one of JP's "founding members", like it's burying the past as soon as it can. At this rate, Richie better make himself a website quick.

For the first time ever, I just clicked on "The Ripper Years." It wasn't exactly an exciting tribute to his contribution to the band, I must say.

I have nothing but ill-will for JP "management" over the years and this only drives it home.
Sure, WE know about the Mill and still follow KK. Hell, I even asked about the greens fee on his golf course!
Founding member, the link belongs here somewhere. Punto final. I rest my point with one vid disabled by request.

Thanks, Joe. All advice is very much appreciated. Even the part about the helmet might just penetrate this hard head! LOL!
Man, I bought replacement hoods for my brakes and put them on yesterday. What a pain! Like trying to stretch a rubber thimble over your head! After hours and more than a little cursing, I got 'em. Looking good. Almost back to its original 1990s beauty! HAAA!
[joedraper] Wednesday, June 15, 2011 1:18:36 PM
Uh I seen some hectic stuff with guys who didn't like helmets... And I' ve seen them save lives lotsa times! lol
Defo go cork and go adhesive well that's what I like anyways lol.
If you can't find padded cycling shorts... OUCH But running pants will do lol. Oh and if you do find cycling shorts you use chammy cream to lube the inside padding of the shorts and er "friction prone areas" lol. Trust me.. Never leave home without the stuff! My favourite gloves are serfas or you can try giro or specialized (expensive but oh so heavenly!)
Helmet go serfas or giro they're the most comfy.
On the running front my new asics are wearing in nicely now so I'm a happy camper with feet that feel great! lol now that I've stemmed the bleeding. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Sunday, June 12, 2011 2:57:24 PM)

First, no bike shop within an hours drive from here and even that place is shakey. That is why I did the entire rebuild myself. I built many a bike so it was just a matter of ordering the right parts. I laughed because I like to restore to original...meaning "vintage" so I see. Heh. Hoods for the Dia Compe breaks had pretty much turned to goo! They should be in next week. Still deciding if I want to replace my pedals or not. Ones I have now are merely functional. No toe-clips.
Perhaps we'll talk about WHERE to "lube up" in a PM sometime. LOL! I just used a bit o' Body Glide that I have from running and have managed to crank out a few 10+ milers in the past few days.
So, lycra shorts have no padding on the inside? I have been using my running shorts. Can't seem to find an old pair of riding shorts with a bit of padding on the inside of the thighs. That helped. Especially as it is so hot here.
Tape, now, I currently have it wrapped in leather. Switch to cork? Adhesive or non. Currently, I am using non. Gloves, check. I'll have to look for all this online. Any specific brand of anything you endorse, do tell!
Tell the next, thanks for the pointers! Oh yeah, BTW, I am still running so I already have my runner's tan down perfectly. Yup, feet are as white as ghosts! LOL!!

Well, first I reckon take the bike into your closest cycle shop and make sure it's set up correctly for your height, that can solve a lot of pain related probs lol. The saddle shouldn't really be to blame... Unfortunately you'll havet o toughen up your butt or give in to stupid looking shorts lol.. The padding in cycling shorts really helps and you naturally should lube up if you're doing long rides. Or whilst you're getting used to being back in the saddle. You could try out some sort of trendier looking mountain bike/downhill riding shorts that have the padding inside but look more like board shorts or we call them 'baggies' here. They'll be a bit more pricy or be brave and go for the lycra ones like we all do lol... At least the next time you go to the beach with your cycling short/sock and shirt tan other cyclists will look at you with that knowing look of respect lol. Tape is a bugger but I swear by it. Pain having to try to wind it on properly and when it gets sticky or really tacky you should replace but it should't be too often. Gloves are as important as a helmet in my books (you're wearing a helmet right?) Not only will it stop yo u sliding around the handlebars if you go down, you will be very thankful to still have skin on your hands... that takes forever to heal up if you don't have gloves on. The amount of times I've looked at my ripped up gloves and breathed a sigh of relief.... can't count them!
It gets easier on your body the more you ride and when running season starts up again you'll see your core is stronger and you'll feel stronger!

In other words. No more world tours, just limited engagements in festivals and perhaps some lightweight touring, but no more two year long world tours.

Hey Joe, you'd be proud of me. I've been biking like crazy lately. Decided that running in 100 degree F heat wasnt' enough so I refurbished my old road bike. Just figured out that it was now "vintage!" LOL! Old Nishiki Olympic 12 roadbike. Tried to restore everything back with original parts. So far, so good. Handlebar tape sucks, though. Cork the way to go? Also, I have ridden enough to say that my ass hurts! HAAAA! New seat or stupid biker shorts? Comeon now, tell the truth, do they make biker shorts that don't look stupid? Gloves worth it? Do tell.

PROBABLY JUST A CHEAP SEAT.HAD A FEW OF THOSE AND REPLACED THEM WITH OLDER BETTER QUALITY SEATS AND NICLY RUSTED JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT.
I AM NOT ONE FOR NEW THINGS
From my experience, anyone over the age of 21 who has not been on a bike in a long time will suffer loads of butt bone pain! Those seats are cruel.

Howdy Do, kiddies!! How's every little thing?? Thought I would "stop by" before the Princess and I head out the door for the annual trek to the beach. A little "R&R" for an aging Rocker! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Tickets went on sale for Priest's October show here in Vegas and they STILL have not sold out. Sad. I have had conversations with other fans here and the consensus is that there is just little or no interest this time. That actually bothers me because I do so love the guys. I wish them well but I know in MY heart that this is just NOT them...not the Priest I have known. But, enough depressing comments...
I trust all of you are ready for your summer. Vegas has yet to hit the 100 degree mark and we are well into JUNE!! VERY odd. We are currently in the 90's and holding. Nonetheless, the Princess has a new bikini and we are packing up for our trip. Something about laying on the beach that takes me to another time....memories of my childhood, I suppose.
I miss you guys very much. I think of you often. I will try to "pop in" again soon to see how you are all doing. Until then, take care of yourselves. Enjoy your summer and keep that Priest cranked up!!! MUCH love to you!!

but we dont got another thing coming. we have retirement coming. or maybe an album but no more tours, at least for now...
best not take out BRS. of course with my luck they will never sell tix for calgary....
But see HB, they HAVE to play their radio tracks because those are the ONLY songs the people that win the radio ticket and meet and greet giveaways know... you know those songs will never leave the set list. By the time they come over here, they may be playing something else. They did say they had a couple different setlists and would change things up. With my luck they'll take out Blood Red Skies and put in I'm a Rocker. NOOOOOOOOOOO!
