As a matter of fact, I am sitting here in her hospital room as we speak!! They are currently doing an ultra-sound on her heart. What an incredible device! I can actually watch her heart pumping and the valves working and all! WOW!! Amazing!
Looks like I will be here a while so I plan to stay online and chat with whomever is here!! |

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Mike. Please keep me posted... [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Thursday, January 15, 2009 5:45:38 PM) | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Hello all. I want to apologize for the following post but I have had a really BAD day.
The Princess went to her doctor's appointment this morning. She has been feeling really bad the last few days ( more than usual). Anyway, I received a call from her advising that an ambulance had been called for her and she was being taken to the hospital. By the time I got there and found her, I was a freakin wreck. I just now got home. They are going to keep her there overnight for more tests, however, it appears she has a heart condition. This kind of thing runs in her family. Her father has had three heart attacks.
From what I am being told, she has a heart block (NOT blockage). What that means is, her heart beats in an odd fashion. It literally drops a beat every few. A cardiologist will see her in the morning. I am told she should be allowed to leave tomorrow if all the remaining tests are OK. In any event, I am not myself and I suppose I should get offline for a while. Thanks for letting me vent! |

Good Evening friends. As always, I am so very grateful for all the well wishes and loving support. Just laying here alone, thinking of how very lucky I am to have such wonderful people to prop me up in this difficult moment. It is so quiet here right now. I never realized how big this bed is. How empty this home is. So quiet....so quiet. Thank you all so much for all your words. We truly appreciate it. |

IN THIS CASE THESE WERE ALL GOOD PEOPLE. WELL EXECPT ONE IN MY OPINION. THE CFO HAD A STAFF MEETING WITH US AFTERWARDS AND HE MADE IT CLEAR. THAT THEY WERE GOOD WORKERS SEVERAL TIMES BUT FOR THE REST OF US TO SURVIVE, THIS HAD TO BE DONE. (I GUESS I'M LUCKY I DON'T MAKE A GREAT SALARY. GOOD ENOUGH THOUGH. ) YOU COULD ALSO HEAR IN HIS VOICE HOW DIFFICULT IT WAS ON HIM. I GUESS BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE DID NOTHING WRONG.
I NEVER BELIEVED MY JOB WAS IN JEOPARDY, BUT IN THE BACK OF YOUR MIND THERE IS ALWAYS THAT LITTLE DOUBT.
OH WELL I GUESS I WON'T BE COMPLAINING ABOUT WORKING LATE NIGHTS AND HAVING 3 AUDITORS POUNDING ME FOR INFORMATION.
AND AFTERWARD I'LL BE LOOKING MORE FORWARD TO GOING TO THE GYM AND PUMPING UP THE PRIEST.
NEW WORKER AT THE GYM PLAYS IT FOR ME ALL THE TIME. MANY OF THE OTHER GYM MEMBERS LIKE "VISIONS" AND "NOSTRADAMUS" A LOT. I CERTIANLY GET A GOOD PUMP DURING THE KEYBOARD/ GUITAR SOLOS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOSTRADAMUS.
OH WELL - LUNCH IS ALMOST OVER - BACK TO WORK.

GREETINGS O MIGHTY METAL CONTINGENT!!!
So here it is....it dusted about an inch of snow between last night and this morning...some of the secondary and primary roads by me were a bit icy. So by the time I hit the main artery that leads me into Ithaca, I open it up a bit more and find I'm running a bit behind by the time I got in. I clock in at 6:34am...a minute late (which yes...in spite of how little, is seriously frowned upon here)...I see another name in my slot on the sign in sheet, to which I thought my run was given away for the day. Then, I remembered they'd been doing refresher training (which we have to do...it's mandatory) all this week...so...I ask the dispatcher...
"....am I part of that this morning?"
He says..."Yes....8am to noon..."

Now...here it is...all this week, I'd been hearing dispatch making arrangements with virtually every driver to accommodate their shifts so they can get their refresher training done...right??
WELL...IT WOULD'VE BEEN NICE IF THEY TOLD ME AHEAD OF TIME!!!!
OHH!!! OHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! (this should please Kinison fans...LOL)
Like the song says....'communication breakdown...it's always the same...' |

In any case, a normal, flat pizza with lots of cheese and ham (or some prosciuto)... THAT is the best thing that was ever invented. A fine evening to all. Up a bit late tonight as the Princess is hell bent to watch the first episode of American Idol. *ugh* It is not all that bad a show, although I really think they need to make some changes to the format or something. I mean, it is incredibly stale. The first few weeks are simply brutal as we are treated to one talentless freak after another. It was funny and amusing the first or even second time but now it is oh so predictable and terribly painful to endure!
I enjoy the middle when they actually get some true talent on the thing. Nothing better than listening to real vocalists display their prowess. (Wonder how Rob would have done..?) HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .."Umm, it was awwight fer me but it was a bit pitchy.." HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! Yeah, OK. Anyway, looks to be rather quiet here and I suppose that isn't so bad given some of the nonsense we have experienced the last couple days. Hope you are all having a great evening. |

Wow...I can't say I possess shirts quite as well-aged as that...the oldest Priest shirt I possess is from the Turbo tour...it has the 5 members on the front, and the logo in yellow on the back with TURBO and FUEL FOR LIFE above and below it respectively. It was bought on June 8th 1986....to think that shirt will be 23 years old this year...and no...it doesn't quite fit me the way it did back when either... The wife wants to frame it....when you hold it up to the light, you can see through it...that's how worn the fabric is... |

IT'S USUALLY A LONGER MORE INTENSE DAY AT WORK BECAUSE THEY WANT TO GET THE AUDITORS IN AND OUT AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE. BUT A MUCH SHORTER COMMUTE TO THE HOTEL THAN MY TRAIN RIDE AT HOME. ALSO IT'S NICE TO NOT BE RUSHING AROUND AFTER WORK. I USUALLY HIT THE GYM REAL QUICK THEN GO OUT FOR DINNER AT A BAR WHERE THEY HAVE MANY HOCKEY GAMES ON TV AND GET BACK TO THE HOTEL. I USUALLY GET BETTER SLEEP BECAUSE I CAN GET UP LATER. THE OFFICE IS 3 MINUTES FROM THE HOTEL.
AND IT IS NICE TO GET AWAY FROM THE NORMAL ROUTINE FOR A WHILE. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Monday, January 12, 2009 8:36:28 AM) | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | My my! Supposed to take delivery on the new car today. Heading out to brekafast shortly then on to the dealership to pick it up. Whoopee! Ah well, I guess all will work out. Just seems like it makes even more work, you know? Now I have to go to the DMV and whatnot. |

This was filmed in Irvine Meadows, CA 1991... excelent material, one of the best quality vids I have seen from Painkiller era, live concerts (in Tube you have the option to see it in a higher quality)....
I want this concert in its entirety soooo bad!!.... it's really hard to get good material from the Painkiller era, for example I have Painkiller in Detroit but it's in a poor quality) ... so if anyone have any idea of how to get this concert or any other with hi quality, please tell .. anyway enjoy the vid!

About a buck and a half, I believe. I don't recall what I paid the last time I put gas in the car. As terribly embarrassing as this will sound, I do not always look at the price. I am really bad about that. The Princess gets on me all the time because I go to the grocery store and just buy things. I never look at price. Drives her nuts.

The other helpful aspect of SUVs is that they haul a lotta shit....they're the ideal family vehicles in a lotta ways, in that mothers can take their children to various activities they're involved in, their equipment, and sometimes a friend or two if they take part in a carpool team (where one mom will take a small group of say 4-5 one day, another mom will do it another day...etc..etc...). And with 'bulk' shopping stores like Sam's Club or Price Club, the larger storage areas in the rear of some of those SUVs can hold a considerable amount of stuff without compromising how/where others are going to sit.
They are for the most part, however...not quite as fuel efficient...and when being controlled by lesser drivers, they're twice the hazard... |

same key, same problems, looks worse. I dont have a chrysler product that I would recomend these days [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Friday, January 09, 2009 8:40:43 AM) | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Good point on the price range, although I would not get a wagon. Sedan! Nothing else!! I didn't know that about the Challenger. That sucks!! Perhaps a Charger, or is it the same story? | | Head banger wrote: | | if the sportage is to truck like, your not an SUV guy. if the mercedes is in the price range, they make wagons dont they, you get the practicality, with car comfort. Audi also. avoid dodge. sure the chalenger looks great, but when the key goes and it takes a week to get a new one, well its a nice lawn ornament. | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Well, I have no great love for SUV's. Our rental is a Sportage and, of course, the Princess just loves it. Practical and all. I could do without it, though. Just a truck in disguise as far as I am concerned and I am not a fan of trucks, either.
The Mercedes 3 Series are nice. Problem is, the Princess has her son here and I am not too keen on kids (teenagers) climbing in and out of my vehicle. I do like a few of the new "muscle" cars. I am a horsepower fan. Maybe I will go that route? |

probably not, since the distances are different, north americans drive further and have less public transport options, so probably spend more on gas. being more car reliant and spending so much time in the car makes the requirements different. Anyway, (another anti-yank rant incoming) why an SUV? Why are all yanks so crazy about them? Theyre thirsty, big, uncomfortable... Right? | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will say this strat, the very worst drivers in the world apparently live in Vegas! I mean, it was PARKED for god's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeez! Well, I have NO idea what we will buy. The Princess mentioned an SUV ( a small one) but I don't know. I really do not care for them myself. HB, what have you got in the way of a BMW.....? BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
