Well looks like there is no reason for you to continue to have interests in what Rob,Glenn,Ian and Scott are doing these days. Good for you man,get on with your life,K.K. is gone and hes not coming back. Judas Priest isn't "Judas Priest" to you anymore,so be it. We all understand. But I along with selective fans don't care about K.K.'s signature guitar sound that made up Priest,we just want to hear a heavy metal album from Rob,Glenn,Ian and Scott and to me it should still be titled Judas Priest. For me it was much worse when the voice of Priest left the band. Good luck to you.

Honestly, this is my last post on this, really I have to get back to my life...no kidding this got to me a lot more than even I could have thought. So, the truth is I saw KK follow both Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach last year, and KKs playing has at least 3 more levels of depth than either of those two guys. KK started as a blues player, as did Priest, and this element is always there no matter how metal they get. (I was going to say Wagnerian, but I don't want to sound 'superior'). This is very obvious and if you do not hear it then you have untrained ears, and/or are following a company line that, in my opinion (yes this would be conjecture) insults the fans. Well K.K.'s Nostradamus proves he is into "metal" these days right? Psssfft. Hostile No Salvation sounds like a trendy retro Panteraish mass produced "whatever is popular at the time" kind of band and song,it spanks of unoriginality and sounds like 387 other bands on the scene right now where you can't tell the difference,this is why he produced it because the young trendy fans will buy anything.

It is sad that KK won't be performing but i believe you have to respect the fact that he was in the band for over forty years i'm just glad i got a chance to see the band three times in my short life, with him perfromin and am looking forward to seeing them at least once more with or without Mr. Downing forever a Metal God.

I completely understand and I don't blame any fan for feeling the way that you do. I'm hoping for the best is all I can say. I know it won't be the same and I will most definitely miss KK dearly. We all will. No one wants this and it's hard on everyone. But those of us that are still going are going to recognize the other 4 members of the band. I'm just not ready to walk away yet, not without one last thank you.

| Is it really "Judas Priest" without KK? In my book no. But this is the farewell tour - take what you can get. They are going to release an album next year and may play a few dates but Tipton said on his website that they intend this to be the last major tour. These major tours are planned well ahead of time and I think when the planning for THIS tour started KK was still on board. I think KK came to the conclusion that he couldn't do the tour and resigned at the end of last year. Instead of cancelling their tour plans they got a replacement guitar player. I would be a lot more upset if this were 1984 or 1986 than 2011. In a perfect world KK would be there to see this thing to the end but he isn't. KK even stated on his site that if you're a fan you should still go and support Priest - it will still be a good show. Is it going to "Judas Priest" in their prime? No but I'll still enjoy seeing Tipton play his solo in Electric Eye... |

I am going to the farewell tour to thank Judas Priest for their music, live shows, influence on my life and the inspiration from within. It is a celebration to say goodbye to our heavy metal gods and what they mean to us. Ive seen them over 35 times since 1981, they deliver, are first rate class, total showmanship, and always bring a smile to this fan's face. Ill be there to show my appreciation of my favorite band of all time. Thanks Judas for the great memories and being such a big part of my life, growing up and 30 years later... MpleSyrp

When Adrain Smith left Maiden Steve Harris,Dave Murray and Bruce Dickinson wrote the shitty songs on No prayer and Fear Of The Dark,they "could" of been great albums....
look at the track "Tail Gunner" and Mother Russia....if the whole album would of been made up with tracks like this it could of been great....look at "Be Quick Or Be Dead"....thats the only song I think is brilliant from Fear Of The Dark as I hate the rest of the album but its not that Adrian left,it is that they wrote shit songs.
If Rob and Glenn write shit songs on the new album it will be lame,but if they write a brillaint album all the way through then I think it will make some people rethink thier opinions of the future of the band.

Just another person believing that they are "entitled" to get whatever it is they want..... We aren't intimidated on this board and we are all intelligent people. Calling us stupid for supporting our favorite band and acting superior to everyone....yeah, great way to start off. So now I'm a "doofus fan"???? Because I want to show my appreciation to the band that I love? Well, you can cry at home because KK won't go on while I enjoy the show. They don't work for me and they don't owe me anything, just as I don't own them and I don't owe them anything. That is where YOU have it twisted! They are musicians that are expressing themselves and you get enjoyment out of it. They don't "owe" you anything, you are free to walk away. I am free to decide what I like and what I don't like. I stopped supporting Iron Maiden when they started sucking. I will not bitch about the new line-up until I HEAR it! I'm sick of people bitching about something they haven't heard yet. I will miss KK and it will not be the same. But I'm going anyway and that doesn't make me a "doofus", that makes me a fan of Rob, Glenn, Ian and Scott. You have the right to decide what to do just as I have the right to decide what I will do, without being called names!
