Brazil has this horrible concoction (could be the same you describe) called "malzbier." I ask for a dark beer and they give me this sweet (as in diabetic level) SWILL! BLEAH!!! Horrible! Never seen it in Portugal but I am wary having tasted it once!
I still claim that we are the country that truly embraces beer. From all countries and microbrews. Most of you will never have a "Goose Island", an "Old Rasputtn" a "Sierra Nevada" (STOUT!!!). Canada is really the only country where I can TRY and find a store with some 350 beers from around the world. It takes some searching and a major city at that...
Here I am in nowhere, TN and I can drive 10 minutes to find a Xingu, a Mooshead, Becks, Sierra Nevada plus some fifty microbrews like Goose Island (312! Honkers!) or Detroit's Bell's Porter, Stout.

We have places like that called Timezone (not restaurants, just game places), where you go play games, get tickets and your tickets win you crappy things. That's a good strategy for getting more tickets LOL! Sounds like the sort of thing I would do haha.

Brazil has this horrible concoction (could be the same you describe) called "malzbier." I ask for a dark beer and they give me this sweet (as in diabetic level) SWILL! BLEAH!!! Horrible! Never seen it in Portugal but I am wary having tasted it once!

Ya know there once was a Beer camp in the States, in Kentucky I think, and I always wanted to go! 375 beers from around the world back then and a week to take them all in! Brazil has this horrible concoction (could be the same you describe) called "malzbier." I ask for a dark beer and they give me this sweet (as in diabetic level) SWILL! BLEAH!!! Horrible! Never seen it in Portugal but I am wary having tasted it once!

When I return, I will rebut this one! PC games are at the forefront. I can tell you all how to emulate all older games, nintentdo, playstation, xbox, gameboy, PSP and ARCADE (my fav!!) on your PCs.
I argue the complete opposite. PC is the dynamic medium. Any console is dead in the water (EXCEPT Nintendo...THAT was a cool move!).
To be continued....after I soak myself....lol. I have never been anywhere in my travels that can compare to American beers. Microbrews in most major cities and even my local bar in Detroit had some 350 beers from around the world. Most on tap. I live in nowhere TN and can STILL find most of what I want...(grrr....save for Sheaf Stout!!!!).
That rant off, me too...to bathe. Hasta la vista. And I'd have to try that Oatmeal Stout! Never tried anything but Budweiser from the states. | | guidogodoy wrote: | | HAAAAA!!! Somehow it doesn't surprise me that you don't like Sagres. Sort of like when I am in Brazil and they all DIE to try a freaking Budweizer! BLEAH!!! Can't stand it!
As I have posted before, give me an Oatmeal Stout anyday (but I still stick by my Sagres comment....lol). | | DelivererofEvil wrote: | | Sagres?! Oh Judas Priest, what on earth were you thinking?
I guess you can tell by now I'm not too fond of Sagres ahah! And the moorish Castle's name in English would be something like the Castle of Sorrow. Awesome setting to imagina Sad Wings being played in! The pic of the priest cross on the rock just instantly reminded me of Excalibur! | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Nope, wasn't the super bock. There is not a big PC Game industry the way there used to be. I used to play PC games all the time, now the stream has almost run dry, shame! We're such a small country and we bicker about the northern (Super Bock) against the southern (Sagres) beers! Hell yeah, that's the true spirit! Gallons get drank and we haven't reached a verdict, since 1927
And I'd have to try that Oatmeal Stout! Never tried anything but Budweiser from the states. Last one...this was taken by the Australians. As you say, great couple of guys you tend to meet on vacations. Father actually lived in Portugal and son came from Australia for a reunion.
Glad to have met them. Like that 9,900 foot shot of me in Utah, these were the only two guys I ever saw up that high in the coolest fog that overtook us. Still, JP on my mind!

Second is hiking down to the Moorish castle as you can see the fog come rolling in. Met a great father and son from Australia who showed me a great back route through the forest back to the city. Good couple o' blokes!

One of us would keep a look out and the other would climb up the side of the machine and feed the balls straight into her mouth so we would get maximum tix.
And I don't remember the name but it has the Circles like a dartboard, with holes going up the middle. Each hole has a different points score. We used to do the same... Climb up the side of the machine and drop the balls into the highest points score hole.
Of course we also cheated on that game with the snapping crocodiles... They slide out and you have to hit them with the batton... Screw that! We used to team up and take 3 crocs each.. hit them with our hands. (Quoting Message by Becks from Friday, March 27, 2009 7:10:05 PM)

We have places like that called Timezone (not restaurants, just game places), where you go play games, get tickets and your tickets win you crappy things. That's a good strategy for getting more tickets LOL! Sounds like the sort of thing I would do haha.

Pixilated Wolfenstein (as in 1994)?

or Return to Castle Wolfenstein (2001)?

Slight difference. That's great, just let me know and we'll have a couple of beers (I prefer beer to wine, as the only wine I like is Port and one bottle of that will have me going to sleep pretty fast LOL)
Or maybe I'll pester some of you guys there in the USA depending on what show I can make it on the summer tour. YEAH! WE'VE HAD THE SAME SEATS FOR 10 YEARS NOW. 13 ROWS BEHIND THE HOME ON DECK CIRCLE. ONCE OR TWICE A YEAR THE KIDS GO ON THE FIELD IN THEIR LITTLE LEAGUE UNIFORMS WITH THE PLAYERS FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM.
WE GOT TO KNOW SCOTT KAZMIR FAIRLY WELL. WE ALSO MET BRIAN BANISTER, MIKE JACOBS, MATT LIDSTROM, JOE SMITH AMONG OTHERS.
