MANOWAR                           -                                                                                                                          - 1983

[paorcamp] Friday, April 03, 2009 9:48:00 PM

yes...i really love that album....and I really love that song too...I like a lot that part of you losers better learn...no one controls our goddamn lifes!!! but my favorite song is the gods made heavy metal...I cannot stop listening to it out loud in the car,and whenever I do it everybody looks at me in a bad way...but you know...they said to play it louder than hell (and I promised that I would)

Man,  Louder than Hell was the first album of Manowar I ever listened, I'm still amazed today that this album was recorded in 1996!!! this was a year for grunge, first glances of nu metal, and the underground success of black an death metal, and yet we have this album, pure classic Heavy Metal ownage, I must tell that this is also probably the best album to lift some weight!!! hahaha,  you just have to keep  excersising till you die when you listen Eric Adams singing: "...Time To Burn!!!!...Losers Better Learn....."  , one of my all time favs.

Candlemass's glorious debut album, with Johan Lanquist on vocals (a superb singer, their best to date). For fans of the Heavy Metal on the doomy tradition of Sabbath, this is a jewel and a must-have, since Candlemass, along with Sabbath and Pentagram (that came earlier) founded the Doom Metal movement. No goth crap, just 100 % DOOM HEAVY METAL!

MOTORHEAD                 1916                     1991
Tis album is a classic Motorhead album, out of 11 songs there is only 1 thats sucks!
[J.D. DIAMOND] Sunday, March 29, 2009 10:23:06 PM

Yes Joe,I like Immortal(lol)...I know they may look rather silly at times, but they are serious about thier Norwegian styled black metal. And yes,I'm supprised that they don't have 100 words for snow!
I've been an Immortal fan for almost 15 years. They are part of the original scene at Oslo Norway with Oystein Aarseth(aka Euronymous).Immortal is very important within the realm of black metal. But I want to know...where the hell is the new album from them?(lol)!

Abbath & co. fuckin smoke man, long live Immortal!

aceroperuano I bought this album along with a few others in 1997 from blackmetal.com! This album is one of the 3 most black evil albums I have ever heard.
Mayhem's 1993 "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas"...... Darkthrone's  1994 "Transilvanian Hunger"......and Emperor's 1994  "In The Nightside Eclipse".

Hey JD are you a fan of Immortal at all? I love there shit. It's not satanic at all, more along the lines of if  Dio went black metal hahaha.

Ever hear the joke about Immortal?

Norway has 22 words for snow but Immortal has 23.
[aceroperuano] Sunday, March 29, 2009 8:20:09 PM

Not your classic Heavy Metal band, or album whatsoever, but this album is a cornerstone  in what black metal represents and is all about, is a minimalistic, raw, dark, evil, cold, simple yet effective in projecting malificense, uncountable copycats norwegian black metal bands tried to emulate this sound and to capture his aura, almost all failed, today the bands is oriented into a more black/punk metal sound,  a crust/speed satanic and rock and roll oriented metal if you prefere, what is still of my like.

Only if Tony and Geezer had compleate control over what the sound should be,and the songs ect..ect...if they did'nt,it would turn out to be way to far off I'm afraid.Ozzy is just to distracted to think straight about "metal". Just like what we were talking about, look at what he did with his last album,he totally changed the sound/style of "Ozzy"...it used to be and sound like the upper tuned guitar classic british style back in the day and now he changes the sound to what the new "Ozzfest" fans are listening to these days,down-tuned rappy-tunnel hat-like sound.Your right though,he can still sing but his mind is to far gone I'm afraid.

Yeah he can stil sing, and like you I agree that he just "does'nt have it in him" to make a classic british heavy metal album like "Blizzard Of Oz" or " Diary Of A Madman" even "Bark At The Moon" was an ok LP compared with what he has done since.

Wow hellrider....oh god I hope not!! I hope they never record an album with Ozzy.......Ozzy is washed up and brain dead so bad the album would sound like shit in my opinion.Ozzy's last album was terrible...totally sounded like "Korn" or Disturbed or an Ozzfest "shit band" if you will. I think that he is not good for heavy metal anymore. So I really hope that Tony Iommi does not record with Ozzy again.Yuk!

MOTORHEAD             INFERNO            2004

Well, technically Motorhead is not "heavy metal" but rather "greasy- biker-rock"(lol!) ...raw rock-n-roll but they always seem to "fit" into a "traditional british heavy metal style" as we all know,so I'm claiming Motorhead's 2004 album Inferno as your classic heavy metal album of the day!!  All Motorhead albums are valid, some more than others as one would expect out of the band's 19 studio album career...but Inferno ranks up there right along Ace Of Spades and Iron Fist as one of the band's best albums!!! Enjoy!

Headhunter by Krokus...the best album from them and one of my all-time favorites...can listen to it anytime!!!

AGENT STEEL  "SKEPTICS  APOCALYPSE"     1985!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Total traditional heavy metal/thrash ...more on the heavy metal side, but with thrash highlights...this old vocalist fucking whales out high pitched screams, alike the scream in Painkiller or Ram It Down!!!
This is the only Agent Steel album I like, but it is a great one!! Check out thier myspace and I think the song "Agents Of Steel" is still on there to listen to.
...."Masters Of Metal...Agents Of Steeeeeeeeeeel!!!!!!!!  lol! Fucking awsome album!!!

All over town

Tellin' me lies

Sign of the gypsy queen

Just between you and me

Wanna rock

Caught in the crossfire

Future tense

Big city girls

Crash and burn

Bad boys

One more time

...I believe this is one of the underrated releases of all-time!!!...

That's actually what I said at first too lol! Well hey as I listened to em more, I began to notice a distinction so it became no longer the case for me. If you listen to songs like Dracula and The Coming Curse you'll see he becomes a talent all on his own (classically influenced, too)... that's why he's my favorite vocalist currently (I know how much that can be considered blasphemy lol!!!).

Anyways yeah, Symphony X is the shit. If you like power metal pick up The Odyssey or Paradise Lost. Both are badass CDs. Their singer is also amazing. They actually got a little bit of groove influence too... it might just be me since they do tune down by a full step...

Symphony X eh?  I don't think that I have heard them, seen them around but never heard them.

Yeah the albums with Matt Barlow to me he has a very "Paul Stanley" voice...really Paul Stanley sounding and I think thats what messes with my head, not that Paul Stanley has a bad voice,it's just that to me it does'nt really fit...just an opinion. But I'm sure they are great though.I still like thier first 2 albums the best.

Awsome album Darth, but it does include a "ballad" in the song "Before The Dawn" found on both "Killing Machine" and "Hell Bent For Leather" albums. No worries, this album is still one of Priest's best LPs.Great Judas Priest material by all means Darth!!! Running Wild is my personal favorite!!
