Just returned home from my daughters wedding. Not sure how happy I am about it but I AM happy with her husband Andrew as he is a great guy who simply adores her. If it were anyone less of a man than him.....
So, congratulations Brianna and Andrew!! |

On Thursday I passed my over 200cc engine licence..
That means I can now officially ride a 'big girls' bike' with absolutely no restriction.. I can go anywhere! Highways and Biways and everywhere inbetween! Lol
I've got my first Woman's Breakfast ride in October and I am sooo happy that I am fully licensed! Well worth the wait!
And no Hellrider, I will not be neglecting my trusty bicycles... I am back in full training as from the morning... Now that winter is past I have no excuse and I've got my new race number for the season so it's two wheels one way or the other for me ha ha ha ha! |

I just caught the Australian Judas Priest show at a local bar.
The intro for hell Bent for leather started and then i noticed the singer in a bit of trouble.
He could'nt quite get his Ducati motor cycle through a back stage pedestrian door with out roadie assistance.
i laughed at the struggle and thought of Spinal Tap - oh well the show must go on, i had a great night.
Things like this just remind me not to be too serious, cheers. Edited at: Friday, September 10, 2010 2:47:23 AM |

Nice bit of luck there with the ring, eh? Only took countless non-returned phonecalls + two visits.
When I finally caught up with the ONLY person who seems to know where inventory goes (apparently she keeps fewer working hours than even a banker) and showed her that similar ring, she pops in and out of a room and has it in my hand in half a minute. I can only imagine what happens when she is out sick. People must lose all their belongings.
Now I just have to remember to leave all my possessions at home if I am ever in an accident / get sick / drop dead in the street. |

Lo and behold, my favorite ring comes back home!
You'll also notice it sitting on a big ol' jar of honey. Beekeeper also came by last night. It'll be the end of his part in the bee saga. He looked in the box and found that they were not taking to it. He thinks that the queen has left but didn't go to the box. He'll come pick up the box in a few days and suggested that I just leave the funnel up, let the bees out and then just plug the hole (trapping them in my house!). Like I said to him, at least we gave it a shot. Nice guy, didn't charge a thing and even brought me some edible honey.

Well, at least you got a jar of honey out of it! Who knows how many jars are in your wall?
Good to see you found your ring. That is WAY lucky and had you not taken a ring to show her what to look for she would have never found it. Damn shame the staff is not interested in inventorying things with a proper description. Glad it worked out for you! Poor bees- well, at least you will no longer have the evil swarm eating your house.
I have my own good news which I meant to post earlier, I've finally bought a new(er) slalom kayak, in the shape of a friend's old Vadja Nexus. It is somewhat, well, pink, but I can live with it- I paddled it in an small non-ranking competition this weekend and I swear it turns on a sixpence, which will take some getting used to. I would have raved about it yesterday, but just as I was about to,I heard from the same friend that (continuing our canoe club's run of spectacular bad luck) her new boat had been swiped from her back garden and now she has nothing to paddle at all, which made me feel bad about being happy.
But I am SERIOUSLY happy about it. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Tuesday, September 07, 2010 11:05:15 AM) | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Happy day! Didn't exactly make me happy but thinking about it now gives me a good chuckle.
The other day here in conservative-landia, I was chatting with a girl who was wearing an old "Hooters" shirt. Suddenly, an older co-worker shows up and proceeds to brow-beat said girl (a stranger to her) for having chosen such "inappropriate shirt to have worn out in public." My thought? I wish I were wearing my Motorhead gear. LOL!!!!

Hey, Guids. I had a close call with my dogtag a few days ago. I was running to catch the metro train when the loop holding the dogtag got too loose and let it fall to the ground. The dogtag didn't break or anything (I was even able to put it back), but now I take care that I don't move the dogtag too much. At least it already has a hole through which I might put in a more secure loop when I come back home. Hope you can fix your JP cross no problem. Good luck. | | paorcamp wrote: | | I actually had to download several images for a jeweller to do it for me...now he hates me because it took him so long and it was very hard, he said he'll never do anything for me again HA!...but I'm very happy with it! | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | JP CROSS!!!

The one on the left is the original from 1990. I took it out of the bag for that pic. The one with the broken loop is the one I always carried with me, thus, the broken loop. Sad that I recently broke the top of that closest one. I fear to drill it out. I want to re-attach the loop.

Sad that I recently broke the top of that closest one. I fear to drill it out. I want to re-attach the loop.

Ya know Guid, I think Paor's looks better than either yours or mine. It doesn't have the black staining, and looks nicer for it! I love it!
