Look at the one labeled "Priest pic #1" as well. Hard to see. Me holding it with Lake Tahoe (CA side) in the background. Third down.

"Hey, this whole MOUTAIN is made of SNOW!"

Great film! Had "Booger," "Porky" AND "Mr. Vargas" from Fast Times all playing supporting roles. How can you go wrong there? By the way, do you mind if I go out with Beth? HAAA!!!!

Weeeeellll, thanx, gang! Yup, lovely time had by all.

Ron, to answer your question I wish you could hear the vid of me hoofing it up the peak I show in that last shot. YES, all you can hear in the minute vid I shot is me gasping for air while making that last climb in full gear. Probably could have heard my heart thumping as well were it not so windy.

Great pics Guido!!    Not knowing much about such things, but was the altitude high enough to affect your breathing?  You seemed pretty high up there!  lol  Awesome you got to enjoy it with your dad!!

I agree. Nice pics, Ron.

Now then, a select few of my own. VERY select as I took hundreds. Tahoe is just too beautiful.
Day one at Heavenly, California / Nevada (big mountain!). First run and pop drops his glasses on a double black diamond. Oh great. Guess who has to go and get them! Nice "warmup run." I think he did it on purpose. Yeah, I am standing downhill. He isn't two feet taller than me! LOL!

Heavenly looking down at the casinos on the Nevada side.

Priest pic #1. Still Heavenly.

New place. Speaks for itself.

Another of Squaw. Home of the winter olympics some 60 years ago.

Finally, Kirkwood. Two poma lifts to get to the peak where I kicked off the boards and hiked to the highest point of the mountain. 9500+ feet of elevation where I took the following two shots. Only place where you really couldn't see Lake Tahoe. Loved the sign. "Your heirs might have to pay to try and find your carcass!"

Great Pics Ron! Bev looks pretty with her sunglasses on heading out to the highway! :) I must admit, I've never seen Lake Mich at this time of year! Burr, hard to believe in a short while people will be out in bathing suits, and swiming in it! Now I know why it has such cold pockets of water in it!
Looks like a outstanding trip, full of the things to do!  So sad it's already over! Seems like it just started. How time flys when your having fun. Looks like a Great Trip!

no point rushing it.  the journey is half the reward.

I would have thought it further than 26 hours.  looks like fun

HB...We didn't drive straight thru, way too long for that.  Drove 4 hours to San Marcos to visit family then another 22 hours to get to my neck of the woods.  We stopped for a few every 150-200 miles to switch driving so we stayed somewhat fresh, but the drive back took even longer as we started it an the end of the day.  A couple of ambitious drivers could have done it in a lot less time.

Vail...with a lot of work you can skate on it.  The problem is that the surface doesn't freeze to a smooth finish and it's really rough unlike a pond where there's no high and low tides.  But it does make for some good ice fishing experiences LOL!!!

It's really crazy to see how far the ice goes. Is it safe to ice-skate on it during the winter?

Hi HB!!  Yes we did.  I live up in the northwest corner of Indiana and Lake Michigan borders us to the north and Chicago to the west.  Very nice temps for this time of the year, but the ice will stick around awhile longer.
