Sounds just like the Fear of the Dark tour! Just damn boring. Like you, if I hadn't received free tix, I wouldn't have gone. Funny as that was the exact show that got me up on stage! Needed something to spruce up an otherwise mediocre show, IMO. Make it look like the fans rushed the stage when, in fact, the majority were label (Sony) "insiders." I was to only one to leave the corner of the drum-kit!
I cant wait for the new Priest offering, I just got back from watching Iron Maidens newest show , and I must admit I am deeply saddened by what people had to pay for , I was lucky and was in a boothfor free from one of the beer companies that I use and thank god , 50 minutes in and we had heard 1 classic song the other 4 being 8+ minute dirges , the sound was terrible, the stage show marginal and all Bruce did for the most part was yell into the mike ! we then got 2 more classics ,then 2 more off the new album which is shite in my opinion , this was the only time the crowd started showing any life ,they looked to be staring into space more most of it,unengaged for the most part , they finished with 7 out of 9 being great songs and the reason I went is to hear Hallowed be thy name live .But all the blind followers that think IM can do no wrong were saying how awesome it was , I was like Man, which concert were you watching, Cash Grab concert pure and simple , somebody has to pay for airforce eddy , what a crock of shit it was ,that is the first time I have ever given a band the finger for being so bad , and after watching Priest in October , I say PFFT to IM , you need to go see how it is done

New Judas Priest album in 2017?!? Holy crap!!!
As for those "fans" that don't like ROS. Eh, their loss. Can't wait for this new album!
Judas Priest to release 18th studio album mid 2017! (Read on Blabbermouth). This is excellent, they are in the process of writing now....Glenn had said the next and most likely "the last" (as all good things must come to an end) has to top Redeemer Of Souls which is a challenge...
I hope the new LP kicks as much buttox as Redeemer Of Souls. I'm so sick and tired of these "fans" dismissing ROS into the garbage heap...its a fuckin Joke, these same fans love, praise and hail Point Of Entry with songs like "Don't Go...You Say Yes,All The Way,Trouble Shooter,On The Run...which is HALF of the album yet they frown on songs like Dragonaut,Redeemer Of Souls,Halls Of Valhalla,Down In Flames ...Hell And Back,Cold Blooded .. even the A+ song Crossfire which is EASILY as good as the track Killing Machine! I just don't get it.

Great insight and valid points all @Vail @Guido, you betcha Vail I noticed the "true metal" stage! And Guido would live to hear something else off Turbo, locked in rocks! Quick trivia bit to see if everyone was watching, what partial song name is on the bottom edge of Richies Flying " V" guitar No peeking!

Dear Webby (at least I'll assume it's The Webmaster writing the news unless he/she says otherwise).
You might need to revise your "#1 on the Billboard" news. At least until Battle Cry actually MAKES it to #1. It's pretty damn close, though.

I am leaning more to your view, Acolyte. While I know that they CAN'T get rid of some of the "classics" without really pissing off some people, I wish they would for some of the die-hards.
WAS nice to see them win over the crowd, though. Also noticed those that were getting into "Turbo Lover" (but also stand my ground that I think that they should have played "Locked In!"
Still, the freakin' Metal Gods prove again and again that they ARE "relevant!" Still cherish every show.
Thanks Vail good suggestion, I rock out every time they play those standards, just with less enthusiasm as time goes by, it is my opinion only, I just think sometimes they struggle in this day and age to be relevant, then they come up with a great album out of the blue and add Richie things are good, They are at Wacken the biggest Concert for heavy, death and. Hardcore bands and they play LAM, but what I noticed the most is how they are consumate professionals and won the crowd over in the end ! And lots of young kids singing along to Turbo lover! Sorry, was on a roll.
I'll admit that I could also make do without LAM, as well, and just end the set with Painkiller or YGOTC, make is a true "last chance with the 'Priest" (although that'd be kinda sad). Heck, even with LAM, the setlist was a rockin' one. No part-acoustic, part-electric Diamonds and Rust or Angel. Nothing from Nostradamus, either.

Yeah, I'll admit that I'm a bit biased toward Metal Gods. Just love it. It's a glorious piece when played live, IMO, and it's current place as the 2nd song on the setlist is perfect because, as of late, the first song that JP hits us is with is usually a fast-paced one (Hellion/Electric Eye, Rapid Fire, Dragonaut). You get super excited and immediately start headbanging and having a good time; and when the fire/smoke clears (aka the song ends), you get the introduction. Who was it that hit you with a full-on in-your-face Heavy Metal song? Why, the Metal Gods in all their glory!
Also: have you noticed the name of the stage on which the band plays in that vid? You see it a few times over the course of the set, but JP were playing on the "True Metal" stage! Can't get better than that!
And the Wacken crowd? Loved it!!! Now THOSE are some great fans! The kid weeping near the end of YGOTC, the fans bowing down to Rob near the end of Painkiller? Many of them singing along? Shit, that's amazing!!! Yeah, they were slow at first to get into it, but I'd rather have them than the gum-chewer that appears in Rising in the East.

Nice review, Acolyte!!!
On the setlist front, however, I'd say that Metal Gods should remain on the setlist, maybe switch between that and BTL halfway through a tour.
Well the Battle cry blu-ray is spectacular, the sound and light show are insane!! Still would like to see 1 still cam shot as an option to watch , but way less jumpy than other shows, great solo in you got another thing coming, would still like to see a lot less of BS represented and more SWOD ,SC.KM, POE anything but metal gods, living after midnite and breaking the law, just heard them enough!

Damn!!! You're right. It was for the Metal Masters tour.
Never used mine because I bought a ticket for a seat, like, 20 rows away from the stage but it was still the best seat in the house.
"Nostra tour?" No. I believe you are thinking of the Metal Masters tour.
Almost drove to Penn to see that one even for lawn seats having already seen it three times! LOL!!!

Agree. I had no reason to think that there was any sort of combo. Yeah, I could have bought the Blu-ray, ripped the audio and segmented up the songs and burned them to CD (phew) but just easier to buy the CD and make the usual copies for my car and daily play + Blu-ray that I'll likely convert to DVD to keep the file small and be able to play on my other machines / backup on HD.
Nope. Quite frankly I always thought that it would be three separate items.
DVD is worth the buy, though. Amazing from start to finish. Excellent and absolutely surreal performance by the metal gods and a great and exciting crowd to go with it.
As for the CD? Well, let's just say that it will be staying in my car CD player for a loooooooooooong time, methinks.
In a nutshell: BUY IT!!!

Saw Slayer for the first time Monday. New venue to me, I quite liked the setup. Beer garden in the back, a rail, and then an open area in the front, where anyone underage or not drinking could go.
Opener was Carcass. not familar with them, did a good set Testament was next, great set, played some older stuff, very nice to see them Slayer was good, glad I saw them
Highlite was testament. That and the roughly 1 million posters with prohibited acts and items that listed moshing and crowd surfing as grounds for ejection. Then all 3 bands encouraged the mosh pits.....
Guess I'll have to wait till I get to my tablet to open anything on the top bar. I'll need instructions. lol

As for the computer fix? Java was the culprit on mine. Same problem as described below. Ran a scan, found some malware, deleted and reinstalled Java. Did the trick. HAD to be something cross-platform as it was happening on some of my Macs and some of my PCs (others, I hadn't used all that much so they never updated). BTW, I always manually update anyway as I've seen that issue before.

VERY glad to see it wasn't the cut / cut / cut of the last video release from Priest. Like Bud commented, it was just distracting.
This looks to be wonderful. Deserves a share.

Thanks for the review, HB! They were here in Cali early last month and will be back in September. Still on the fence about it, though. If I DO go, it would be for Tony and Geezer (yeah, still miss Dio).
Ladies and gents. and trolls too. I went and saw Black Sabbath last night. great show. Ozzy is showing his wear, but Geezer and Tony were great
