To put it all in perspective, it takes 12 hours to drive over the Rockies from Vancouver to Calgary -- and we drove around Lake Superior for over two days. Crazy man!
Anyway, we're sitting in Hamilton trying to find a hotel that will fit our RV and take Peekaboo (the cat). Best we can do is a Fairmont suite -- for all the right kinds of money! (Darn, eh? LOL...wait 'til 'the criminal' wakes up from his nap to hear that!)
We're definitely "in" for lunch at the CN tower if someone wants to get back to us -- and you don't mind hanging out with some shady characters! We got 2nd row, centre tickets ... again, for all the right money, off eBay -- so we hope it all works out. Totally looking forward to meeting more Canadian JP fans and breakin' the law before the show. Apparently, that's what we do... lol.

A guy goes away for the weekend and misses all the party plans!
I will definately be joining you lot for the pre-show festivities! Unfortunately, I have to work until around 1:30-2:00 that day so I will not be making it down there until around 4:00pm at the earliest which means no lunch/CN Tower for me I'm afraid.
I guess the plan will be to meet at the gate around 4:00pm and head to the bar in Ontario Place then????

My girlfriend's credit card didn't go through but they did'nt choose to tell us this fact. From our vantage point Krokus looked smaller than Barbie dolls. Awefull. Sammy Hagar was the lead act that night and he encourage eveyone to get up and leave their seats!

MarktheShark...there is a bar in Ontario Place right across from the Amph at the top of the hill. There is a new attraction where the bar used to be called Froster Wild Water park. I believe there is a patio there to enjoy a few cold ones. I'm all for meeting everyone there and having a few before the show.

Thanks damnbanker and hellrider for the sentiments. It does make you see that life is short and each day should be cherished. Having said that, I don't think I could do two KISS concerts in the same month as Priest as 1) I can't afford it and 2) I think my wife would divorce me if I did that!

Scalping on a massive scale and TICKETS NOW are to blame.
The best seats are sold before the go on sale. Even with the AMEX front of the line right when the tickets went on sale you could not get great seats. All the best are gone before they go on sale.

Hey....I did the Amex front of the line and it sucked as usual, so you can't blame that. The best you can normally get through them are the 200s (off the the sides too) and that's what it was this time too. So I passed. Same as Marktheshark, I was in right away (actually had 3 people all trying for me too!!) and the best was mid 200s. The really strange thing is that I've checked out TicketsNow and Stub Hub as well as some local ticket "brokers" and the entire 102 section is nowhere to be found. Just a few 101s and 103s. So I'm waiting to see what happens...never seen anything like this before. Who knows maybe they will announce some sort of VIP package yet.

First row of the 300 level!! I couldn't believe it. I grabbed those and went back to see if I could get better. NOPE! For 3 seats, all that came up was 300 and 400 level. I checked for 1 and 2 tickets and the best they had were high 200 level seats! Yeah, it totally sux that AmEx has the 'Front of the Line' presales. I was able to get my friend to use her card and it was an 'early' birthday present as well. I hope there are some great seats available tomorrow though. I can't see too many peeps that have AmEx wanting to go to a Heavy Metal concert, although, I could be very wrong.

Hey radar rider,
Last year, for the Metal Masters tour they offered Platinum passes for $400.00(!) which gave you a meeting and picture with the band, pre-show party and a seat in the first 3 rows. I have to say, it was expensive, but worth every penny. I don't know if they will be doing that again this year but I figured I would do it once anyways. Glad I did as it was a great experience and something I will never forget. You could buy the gold and platinum passes through ticketmaster. I haven't heard when tickets go on-sale yet but have been checking ticketbastard to see when they post it. As soon as they post an on-sale date I'll post something here. I would hope the site would post something as well.
