See? The lie starts to unravel right there. I don't have any Nike's. I was brutally pushed...

Now hold on there Amigo!!  I was a little pre-ocuppied at the moment you decided to climb into that chair, and remember how the beer was pooled in it?   Beer + metal chair= loss of traction for Nike`s. Your feet were over your head before I had time to react! Though after seeing that horrified look on your face, I knew that landing had to hurt!
I`m glad it wasn`t worse, and it was still a damn good time.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Saturday, December 11, 2010 6:52:22 PM)

Maybe if you didn't say that Rob is physically out of shape, then Judas Priest would still be with you. I mean, come on. Calling someone names is not a good way to maintain a relationship.

i would consider it a gift if they would stay together and    APPLIED THEMSELFS AND FOCUSED ON UNLEASHING THERE GREATEST MOST INTENSE, METALS ULTIMATE ALBUM THE NEXT MIGHTY PRIEST BEAST METAL MONSTER ALBUM.when they reunited i thought they would be continuing off where they left off with THE MIGHTY PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINKILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLER album thinking wow man what will the next 1 be like.that was not the case in my opinion.THIS BAND IS DEFINATLY CAPABLE OF DOING WAY BETTER THAN THEY HAVE SINCE THEY REUNITED.THEY ARE NOT USING THERE FULL POTENTIAL AND BY POSSIBLE  RETIRMENT ARE JUST THROWING IT ALL AWAY. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN

Oh, your memory is a bit warped I believe. Guitardude didn't plant you in that chair and shove you off, Thrownig rocks at Canada was funny (and impossible), but Soy? HA!!, I myself sulked over the pick incident for about 10 minutes, then I got over it..............almost lol, and you met HRMG and her hubby and  you didn't even get a bruise! What's up with that?! lol

Now that sounds more realistic.

I look forward to the coming tour to meet more  JP.com members and enjoy the awesomeness of the one and only Judas Priest among people I'm proud to call my friends.

Your welcome, I do what I can! But it's a good thing that you weren't sitting with us in DEEEEETROIT, because you would have lost Scott's stick to me! I too am also grateful to Priest for giving me the opportunity to make such wonderful friendships. I've met DF and Guido in Detroit - (two awesome guys) and Bev and Ron in Chicago - what a GREAT time we had with them too! We also met Funeral Pyre from the Q in Cleveland at the show and I FINALLY got to meet the great Jim "Nostradamus" Bartek in Cleveland at the Hard Rock before the show! AWESOME people, every one of you!  Hoping to meet many more in the future!!

You know, now that I think about it, I question the second part of my post. Let's see, I broke a couple of ribs at the concert with Guitardude, I threw rocks at Canada with DF and lost a wonderful friend in Soy because of such a silly action, Spa hates me for having lived up to our agreement of "who catches it, keeps it" in the now infamous KK pick ordeal and, well.....HRMG and her husband were great! LOL!!!!!
Ok, I guess I still in the "reunited=gift" camp. Thanks, HRMG!   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Becks from Saturday, December 11, 2010 3:45:41 PM)

Oh, AMEN. The years after Rob returned to Priest are a gift. I'd have to seriously think about how many times I have seen them since. Not to mention the one and only time MEETING them.

Only thing I hold just about as sacred (oh, come on, those that know me also know I'd be lying if I sad "AS sacred") was having the opportunity of meeting many of you on the board. All since the reforming of the greatest band in the world. For that, I will always be thankful.

maiden sells out.  even in the 80's priest were not in the top ranks like they should have been.  that they continue to tour is awesome, but if they did a tour alone they dont sell enough seats to hit the main arenas.  I dont get it, but its a fact.  crue came close to selling out, gnr (axle version) sold out. priest sells fuck all.  why is that?

I'm not sure what they were thinking with they did Nostradamus, if that's the final cd ...
[jimmyjames] Saturday, December 11, 2010 2:25:07 PM
How can you guys say that Priest haven't got the respect they deserve. They are one of the most respected metal bands out there. They haven't made as much money as they could have because they have released experimental albums like POE, Turbo, Demolition and Nostra and alienated sections of their fan base and also because they didn't stick to their guns in the 90s like some of the really big bands did. Seriously would you expect a band that peaked in the mid 80s that hasn't had mainstream success to be selling out arenas more than 25 years later. It's the amount of respect they have alone that's allowing them to continue to tour.
[Brian_Evans] Saturday, December 11, 2010 2:23:51 PM
I agree that Painkiller was their last great album, 20 years ago. I still say It's all about swagger and if they realeased one more cd that had that old swagger like "Painkiller", "SFV", Defenders" or even the live "Unleashed In The East"  they could go out on top.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Rob Ward from Saturday, December 11, 2010 8:29:36 AM)

If there are people who dont want to go to a show, so be it.  I will be there, if it comes anywhere near me.  I would love an album, while I was let down with Nost, AOR might be my favorite disk from the mighty priest.  hopefully this tour gets the attendance that priest deserve, cause so far they are getting shafted in that dept.  but, IMO they have never gotten the respect they deserve, probably wont start now.

You are a great fan.   I too am so grateful for the last 7 or 8 years.  I was asleep at the wheel in the 80's and early 90's and didn't go to any shows so I never thought I'd get to see them with Halford in the band so these last tours since '04 have been amazing for me.   I may not have particularly cared for the last album, but they poured their heart and soul into it and you can't please everybody.  They have so much great material that will always be there for us to enjoy forever.  I think people are angry so their gut reaction is to do a little bashing.   I plan on going to at least 5 shows on this last tour.  I also hope to see the Halford band for at least a few more shows in the next couple of years.
[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Saturday, December 11, 2010 1:10:12 PM
It really upsets me when I read peoples posts that they aren't going to the farewell tour shows! WTF? You think this is all about $$$? It's NOT! They toured the entire British Steel album , which should have gotten them SOLD OUT shows and it didn't! They poured their hearts and souls into that tour. They announce where the DVD is going to be taped and even that show isn't sold out! We went to 3 shows on that tour and all 3 of them were PHENOMENAL!! But the Cleveland crowd was OK and they were GIVING tickets away in Cincinnati! There were people in the front row with us just standing at their chairs when the rail was a good 6 feet from them. Glenn was working his ass off trying to get these people into the show and he finally just gave up! He saw us over in the middle and started coming to the middle where he was actually appreciated! The only show we went to where the crowd was one that I was proud to be a part of was Detroit. God that place ROCKED that night!

Why should they continue touring when people that are supposedly fans don't even come out to the show? Why should they put out a new album when people don't buy it and crap all over it? They have given us so much and yet people still bitch and complain. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be to put your heart and soul into an album and have people rip it to shreds. Yes, I get it, you didn't like it. But others DID like it.

I for one am THANKFUL and GRATEFUL for absolutely every album and tour. I am thankful for all the wonderful memories that I have of Priest. I will carry all their music with me in my heart forever. I am thankful that Rob rejoined the band and made Priest whole again. They will FOREVER be my favorite band! I will be at every show that I can go to - I hope everyone does the same!

THANK YOU ROB, GLENN, K.K., IAN AND SCOTT!!

No matter why they have made the decisions they have, whether everyone likes the material they put( I love it all BTW), Or even if they are  /or not your favorite band. I think we should support them while we can and show them how much we have enjoyed their career as Metal`s Premier act.
All the f**king negativity on here is enough to drive them away and not even tour, then I guess some would be happy, but personally I think that would suck!

I am sad that you feel the way you do because obviously you are an early (older) fan as I am. I feel a lot differently though than you do. The guys released "Angel of Retribution" and "Nostradmus", maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but personally I loved these releases. I think Nostradamus is a masterpiece. These two releases remind me of their earlier stuff only better! Unfortunately the US, at least does not appreciate metal the way we used to so the kids aren't buying it up the way we used to. The guys in Priest gave us so many wonderful years of diverse music. We are very lucky to have the chance to still go and see them. It is your choice if you don't want to see them but really I think you may (or may not) regret it.

I got the chance to see them on their last couple of tours and I must say it was a wonderful experience. They still have it and they always put a smile on my face.

[Rob Ward] Saturday, December 11, 2010 8:29:36 AM
They are obviously retiring because they've become senile because the way it works is, you record an album then you go on tour and support it. I'm sick of bands re-releasing old material in a new package and calling it "new."  Then they announce a farewell tour to rob their fans of any final cash they can get.

I'm with those fans that think the last years of Priest have been their worst. I'd go back and say the last good priest album was Painkiller, everything since then is either horribly bad especially the Owens albums or just ok (A.O.R).

It's probably just as well because I had already made up my mind that if they recorded another death metal album that I wasn't going to buy it or go to the concert, BTW I didn’t buy Nostradamus.  Priest was my favorite band since 1978 when I first heard Green Manalishi, but towards the end of their career it was obvious that the direction they went in left me behind. I don't think it's Halford because I like his solo stuff, so I think it's probably Glenn and K.K. making the decisions in this band. I'm not going to the farewell tour because I've pretty much lost interest in them years ago, but it's sad for me because I'd always hoped that they would come full circle and write more classic stuff and go out that way. But this just proves that Judas Priest left me behind and in the end they were not my favorite band...

The thing is, there are alot of musicians out there in the music industry that are much older than most of the band members in Judas Priest. I mean, Ozzy is 62 years old, and Lemmy will turn 65 this year!! Heck, even Dio (RIP) was almost 70 and was still performing. With that in consideration, it seemed as though JP would still go on, but alas, it's not to be...at least touring-wise. They haven't necessarily said that they're going to stop altogether, so I'm hoping that they will at least make a few new albums before calling quits on that as well.

Yeah, it is a bummer to say the least. At first I felt anger but then realized after some thinking there really is nothing to be angry about entirely. So now I am just sad that they won't be able to tour at all after this. If they come by Arizona again, this will only be the third time seeing them in my short lifetime. (22 years old but have only been a fan since I was 17.)

Because with the British Steel tour, they seemed more energized than ever. They talked about the next album and what they were going to do. Sure, after another release I figured that would be the end of the road and that's what most of us thought. The surprise and what we didn't see coming was that they wouldn't release a final album and then do a farewell tour with that - like the Scorpions are.

[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Friday, December 10, 2010 2:33:14 PM
No. And that is what is so hard about this, because no one saw it coming - not yet anyway. I remember reading not too long ago that they wanted to do an album that was a cross between British Steel and Painkiller. I can't pretend that my heart isn't broken by this news, because it is. But I wish them all the very best, they have earned it. They have given us everything and so much more than I could have ever asked for. I love them and I always will. I'm not angry like some people are, I'm just very very sad.

IMO.  I think your on crack!  Priest could have lead the way into thrash in the early 80's if they had travis then or still had binks.  Holland limited them in terms of anything fast.  He was as basic as you can get.....

[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Friday, December 10, 2010 12:31:17 PM
Wow, I couldn't disagree more. Scott brought NEW LIFE into Priest. Dave was the one that limited the band and they eventually admitted as much, although being very kind about it. I think we all know that there is no way in hell that Dave did the drumming on Ram It Down, especially on Hard As Iron! With Scott they can do ANYTHING and he has in no way limited them. If anything, I think he inspires them. Scott is not part of the writing trio. If they no longer feel that creative energy, it has absolutely nothing to do with Scott. He is phenominal, PERIOD! I do agree that the older Priest albums had killer drums - especially with Les Binks. Scott is just like that for me only even better! They hit the jackpot with Scott! Just my opinion....

IMO. The Priest could rock harder with a different drummer.
IMO. Scott plays like a drum machine. and has limted the creativity of the band.
Scott is a phenominal drummer with stellar history of band affiliation, and album credits.
I think that the priest could make a intense Metal Album with new blood on the drum kit. A drummer that would die for a shot at the preist classics, and a driving force for a new creative priest.
IMO Scott sounds like a drum machine  dadadadada. kinda bored with the same old
THanks for asking.
I think that the drumming was killer on old priest albums, that music will rock forever. An interseting beat that breathed with the music.

No offense but this is one of the stupidest thing I've ever read on this forum. Scott is one of the best things that happened to Priest. The thing is Rob has a good way of tip toeing round things. He still hasn't said the band is splitting up. He never gives a definite answer like 'yes the band are splitting and there will be no more music or touring'. 'All good things come to an end' but this is still a miscellaneous response, he could simply be talking about touring, who knows. I do now question the validity of that article on Rock AAA though.

Well, I have to agree with you on that. Rob was extremely professional as always and put on a hell of a show Tuesday. But I could see it in his performance because I know how he is on stage - he was not the same as in Cleveland two days earlier when he was talking to the crowd a lot. No one else at the show Tuesday would have ever picked up on it, but he was not himself. When he looked over at me and my husband in the front row screaming our heads off in support and seeing our Halford banner, he was genuinely thankful. It was a hard show for him in the beginning, I could tell he was down. But he won the crowd over and he came back to being himself. I'm sure he had no idea what he was walking in to in that arena, anything could have happened. I'm just so glad we were there and that my home town gave him such a great reaction. This was not Rob's doing, I can tell you that much! He is not a man that is ready to retire, not now anyway. I think it was really shitty of the announcement to happen when he is touring, especially the day of a performance!

[And NO - I am NOT accusing him or JP mgmt of anything ... this is just an observation.]
Not that it will hurt his draw or anything ... just interesting timing (as I continue to sit here pondering this whole ordeal).

Thank you HRMG for the update.  Does sounds like the end.  Sounds like one or more of they guys have decided they are done and that is ok.  They have had a long and great career and it will be great catching them as many times as possible on the last tour.  It will be a blast

Also, well said Mr. RobHalfordRocks.  A little respect is in order.  Some of you folks need to get a grip.

After taping the entire news broadcast on WGN, I was able to play it back now. Here is the direct quote by Rob when asked about the farewell tour for Priest and is it really goodbye?: Rob said, "They do say that all good things come to an end and that is probably the case in this case. I'm delighted that of course the Halford band is going to be storming forward in the metal future and that's got to be good news."
[RobHalford Rocks] Wednesday, December 08, 2010 1:05:45 PM
Well I for one would like to take this opportunity to thank the guys in the band for a great run in the world of heavy metal. I've admired the speed-quickness of this band for a long time now. Come on people, stop whining and carrying on about their career decision, if they want to retire then it's their decision to do so and not ours. I find some of these post to be very rude, vile, and despicable about their retirement decision and shows extreme disrespect to the guys and it makes me sick. I not going to call out names here but you know who you are. All of this is very detremental to this website that could possibly be closed at the end of the final Epitaph tour or even sooner. They deserve better than this and you know it. I guess my final thoughts on this subject are to suck it up and show some respect.

Well, I'm not so hopeful anymore..... Rob was just live on WGN and was asked about the farewell tour for Priest and if it really was the end. Rob replied that  "all good things must come to an end and I believe that's the case here. But the good news is that the Halford band will still be rolling on".

I LOVE HALFORD don't get me wrong, but Priest will always and forever be my favorite band.....

Icecreamman, you slightly perked up this extremely saddened Metal Pixie!

Yes - I too understand that the guys have earned the right to retire. It is just very difficult to fathom saying goodbye right now ... a few years after Rob re-joins the band ... knowing he still tours! ... and when bands like the Stones are still touring at what - 100+ years old?!

However, I would like to see the slamming on AOR and Nostradamus stop.  From a musical, creative, theme perspective, Nostradamus was awesome.  Was it as hard-driving as earlier albums? No.  But it is still a phenomenal artistic piece in it's own right.  We all have our favorites ... and just like the guys have a right to retire or limit their touring, they have a right to write albums THEY want to write.

I'm trying to figure out how to make it to Sweden for the June kick-off (a week before my birthday) ... I have ALWAYS wanted to follow the guys around for a week and will figure out how to do that too (once they're back in the States).

Funny ... my son cannot understand why this bums me out so much.  I've determined that if you didn't live through the 80's you cannot understand the effect Priest (or any band) has has on a person.  I now understand how Beatles fans felt ...

Hoping and praying for strength to get through this.  Whether in 2011 or 2031 ... there will NEVER be another band as great and mighty and the beast that is ... Judas f**king Priest!!!!
[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Wednesday, December 08, 2010 10:47:16 AM
Thanks icecreamman!! I have a little hope now and I pray that this is true. Touring is extremely hard on the band and they have always said that they never want to put on a bad show. This would be their way of ending their touring on a high. I hope that we do in fact get that RIP MY FACE OFF METAL MONSTER album that will forever put Judas Priest at the very top of all Metal Bands! I've always felt that way about them, but I want the ENTIRE WORLD to KNOW IT!!!

I really hope that someone of JP could read it or someone of the staff and inform them that also if most of us expected it, we would like to have a final destructive, huge, definitive Metal Album.
It's reallay  abad new. It was about one month since my last posting here and to open the site, to read Epitaph made me think to a new album but at the same time to a farewell. What to say, apart on hoping to have the last album, is that on june 22nd. I will be in Milan.

MESSAGE PRAY FOR JUDAS PRIEST/ROB HALFORD

O my god!!!
2011 the last Judas Priest world tour???
I just can’t believe this!!!
Why you gaved us this news already, why such suddently and why now on Christmas???
Please do some to change your minds and not dessapear at all yet,the old fans will miss you,the new ones still need you,so please don’t do that cause to live without you is almost impossible and to replace you with others,is really impossible.
Without you,Judas Priest,or without Halford and Fight, died a half of
my heart, and when Rob will not be anymore, will die all my heart entirely.
Also, any you decided or any you will re-decide in time…
I love you and I will always love you my soul band!!!

1.Why that news already, why such suddently and why now on Christmas?

For me and for most many fans, this news is the most sadly news I ever heard related to my soul band ,and the most sadly  thing is that is not just a rumour but is a true thing as far as these news already appears in your official site ,and on My space and Facebook too, etc.
I admit that I knew that news will come one day, cause is some normal at your age and after more than 30 years of musical carrer,in which the music was for your only reason to live, your only way to offer your fans all what they need from albums to live shows, things from the reason which the roads were your only homes, which always separated you by close people, parents, families, and friends,so for all these, was to expect as you to stop your live activity, but I admit I never though that news will come so soon, and so suddenly, and in special now on Christmas without to prepare us the fans from time, that way maked me to wonder if there out is other reason for which you stopped your live activity now or if this way  to do the things is just a tipicaly british way.
I also hope that with the help of your fan support,to change your minds in time and to still continue to enjoy us with your live activity,at least 2 or 3 years from now, that even if your activity will not be such full like until now, meaning with such many shows per year, how was until now from 2 in 2 days ,or 3 in 3 days, will be ok just some shows per year, and even if a show will not during so much, how was until now with shows for
2 hours or 1 hour, will be ok just a show of some 25-30 minutes, just to see you,but if also you will not change your minds,I hope that you will continue at least with your studio activity, even I always image that you will put all Nostradamus album on stage, like a oper, how is The Wall of Roger Water, from the legendary Pink Floyd(my favorite opera),so hope you will enjoy us the fans at least with new albums and maybe some Dvd-s with some of your old images from your carrer, and maybe with a authentical book about your entire music history, and why not with some contests to fans, from which you will can give the fans the chance to win autographs from you,or some musical gifts from you, such as posters,or magazines, like souvenirs, any, just to know that you are still there, and alive.

2.Why with that news in which you bring just the most knowns countries in Europe?

For me and for the most many fans, the news of  the presentation of just these countries in your list, is also one of the  most sadly, cause in this way exist the possibility like any of us to see you last time,or other first time, but worst, other at all ever.
I admit that I knew that my country will not be in the first list of your countries, cause you discovered us so late, and you came to us just ones and almost over
your 30 years of carrer, but I admit I never though that show you gaved us Romanians,in 2008,on 11 july,in Bucharest,at Best Fest Aftershock, will be the last but also I am thanksfully to God cause he gaved me the inspiration to go there to your show and the power to do all that sacrificies to arrive at your show, such as to throught out my last job for you,to rent money for travel, and car,etc and now to no have any regret for what I done then, cause you gaved the honour to come to us,and to bring us 2 hours of unique show,in which you enjoy us with your voice and your instrumental abilites, with your beautiful songs, and your cool stage changes, but first with your simple way to be,to speak with us,to treat us and to get down to us the fans from your celebrity status, like we was equals.
I also hope that you will include my country in your actual Europe list too, otherwise, for me ,and for many other fans, will be almost impossible to attend, and for me will definetly be,cause even if it’s a shame, but still living in a poor country with a hard history which was about more than 50 years of  communism and humility and restrictions for us,the humanity, and from which we didn’t recover yet even if we are a liberal country now,but also still with bad leading system, bad laws and bad economy where the most small salary ,is the most small from UE,and is about 150-200euros/mouth,and also being without my own family, meaning without husband and kids to support me,without a job actually and
without the chance to get one now with this crisis, and still living with my parents, with a sick mother and a unemployed father, and an very old grandmother about almost 90 years old,so living just from their small contribution from state, money from which we must to save mounthy, for food, for utilities, for owns in bank, for medications, etc will be almost impossible to save some to attend to these countries of the tour, with all the travels taxes and the ticket, and if you will not introduce other countries in Europe, than mines, etc to can see you, then when you will introduce the other parts of your 2011 tour which probably will be one for USA,and one for Japan, well, definnetly for me,will be really impossible to attend, and all these are not a complain but a reality in which I think most many fans are,but I still hope you will try to introduce my country in your tour list, and other countries too, where you wasn’t ever or where you have owns.

3.Why with that news you forced us to do our inventary already?

For me and for the most many fans that news, put us to do our inventory related to our memories with you which we accumulate until now, such as how many of your music we bought, how many of your live shows we saw, etc.
I admit I knew that doing my own inventory I will be very very sad cause I discovered you such late, just now 4 years ago, and I didn’t succed to have all your original music long time, but I am proud today I already have this entirely, and because I discovered you
so late,I neither succed to attend to many of your shows, but I am proud that I attend to your first show in my country, and finnaly because I discovered you so late, I didn’t’ succed to meet Rob Halford, personally,to salute him,to do a photo with him,and take an autograph, but I am proud that I got one from Scott Travis, and because I discovered you so late I didn’t get the chance to fight for arriving to collaborate with you,or work for you.,but also, even if I discovered you so late, also I am very proud that I was one of your lucky fans which got the honour to keep a short corespondence with Miss.Jayne ,your
manager, with mr.Mark ,your art editor, and with Mr.Murray, your webmaster, people which passed my correspondence to the band and to Rob,and more than this,I am proud that I dedicated all my net pages to the band, and to Rob,and I will continue to fight for your induction and Rob into Rock Roll Hall of Fame and for bring you a star on Walk of Fame, and maybe a petition for your returning.
I also hope, even if you will retry, that you Halford band with still continue your live activity at least another some years, and will enjoy us with your tours, your new albums, and Dvd-es,and maybe a book, and maybe you will thing to come to Romania too, even in my city Arad,at our Rock on Mures festival, where I hope I will finnaly can meet you Rob Halford, salute you,do a photo with you, take and autograpg from you,and who knows, maybe to talk about a collaboration or work for you,all these before I will give you my sorries for what I said and I done related to you.

Conclusion:

I still cant' belive this news, but unfortunately is a true news!
But you Judas Priest shouldn’t gaved us this news already, and not such suddenly and not
now on Christmas!
Please do some,to change your minds and not desspear at all yet,the old fans will miss you,the new ones still need you,so please don’t do that cause to live without you is almost impossible and to replace with others,is really impossible.
Without you,Judas Priest,or without Halford and Fight, died a half of
my heart, and when Rob will not be anymore, will die all my heart entirely.
Also, any you decided or any you will re-decide in time…
I love you and I will always love you my soul band!!!

I cant beleive this is happening! I read the news last night and slept on it so i wouldn't bitch about it like a lot of us. I feel like a someone close to me just died, just 7 years ago we were all filled with hope and excitment with Priest reuniting, and now it may be all over. What bothers me is that Rob and KK spoke on how Priest had a few more years left in them. Also, notice how the press realese also states "World Tour". Does that mean they will countinue touring on a limited level? Rob also mentioned a new album in an interveiw a couple of months ago, and with the European leg of the tour ending in august, it doesn't leave much time for the US. So I envision them touring in 2012, their 40th annaversery with Rob. This may not truly be be the end, but if it is, it has been good. Priest are my favorite band, always will be. Unlike some of us, I believe Priest have been kicking ass since they reunited with Rob. Their music changed my life and many others. They have been the MOST influential artist on my music and on any metal artist.

Well, I just came back from seeing HALFORD and Ozzy in Grand Rapids, Michigan tonight. FUCKING AWESOME!!!! Rob was incredible and this did not seem like a man that is ready to retire. But Priest is a band and if even one member is done, they will NOT replace him.
I love this band more than anything and all the bullshit I'm reading from some people just pisses me off! When Rob said tonight that he would be back next year with Priest, I don't know, there was just something about how he said it - he seemed sad.
If you are or ever were a Priest fan, GET OFF YOUR ASS AND COME TO SEE THEM AND SUPPORT THEM! I know I will go to every single show that I can make it to.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE INCREDIBLE MUSIC AND SHOWS - YOU TRULY ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE METAL GODS!!!

I've been, and always will be, a great fan. I've been listening to Priest since the early 80's. Some of my greatest memories are of the concerts I've been to.

"Out there is a faortune waiting to be had,
If you think I'll let it go you're mad,
You've got another thing comining"

Those lyrics have kept me alive in some of the down parts of my life. Priest has given me the energy and inspiration to be the best I can be in this life.

I bow down to you.

The Greatest. This band created awesome hard rock and Heavy Metal. THere is variety in the Priest catalouge. This is an accomplishment that very very few have accomplished. THe variety is so amazing that it is the greatest collection of heavy music in exsistence. NO one compares to what these musicians have created. Every priest album is awesome. THey are different for different reasons and times. The priest machine was conquering the world with heavy guitar music. All the songs kick major ass. THe talent and character of these musicians enabled them to create many different flavors of Hard Rock / Heavy Metal. I loved it all. and tried to play the songs i loved. Judas Priest Lives

So...now Judas Priest are about to embark on what will be their last world tour. As already mentioned in another post, it's quite a bittersweet moment. I'm sad and happy at the same time. Sad because after next year (and possibly the one after) they will no longer take the world by storm as they have in the past. But I'm also happy. Happy that they've managed to turn Heavy Metal into a musical force to be reckoned with in the 40 years that they've been together...that they've managed to give the genre a look and a kickass sound. Judas Priest is a band that cannot be imitated. They can only be worshipped for their pure awesomeness, on stage and in their music. I'm happy that I've been able to see this band twice live and have a great time on both occasions screaming and banging my head off. Cherished memories, locked up deep in my tiny little shriveled up heart, never to be taken away.

Thank you, Judas Priest. I may not have met any of you guys personally yet, but I feel lucky to have even known about you at all. I'll be sure to make it to your next concert in SoCal (or NorCal) and scream extra loud that night. Thank you Rob, Glenn, KK, Ian, Scottie.

True. A life time of entertainment they have delivered.  I just have to quit being selfish and admit they have given so many years of great music.  Still, I'm sad.
