I have been going to concerts since 1978 when I was in the 6th grade first show was Iron Maiden, Saxon ans Fastway at the Cow Palace in SF.
Saw Priest on Screaming for Vengence tour...
and about 10 more times since then
I must say that the Metal Masters show at the Shorline Amphitheater in Mt View, ca on 8\31\2008
had to be one of the rockingest show I have ever fuking seen.
I was worries that it wouldnt be very loud...
WRONG!!!
It was so loud my ears are still ringing 5 days later...
AWESOME>>>>
Heaven and Hell rocked..Dio sounded great and Tony Iommi is amazing...
Rob, after all these years...you still Deliver the Goods, my friend....
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also saw fight and Halford in smaller venues. Once at lamours in Brooklyn. My wife was 3 months pregnant at that show. I also saw Halford at BB Kings on 42nd street in Manhattan with about 10 other bands.
He made an announcement that that show would be the last show of the tour although it was scheduled to go on for a few days longer. I got chills. I just had this feeling. I went home and searched all over the internet. Sure enough a few days later Priest announced the reunion.
Well the work day is over and it's time tio hit the Gym! Until tomorrow. KEEP ON HOT ROCKIN'
I also hope and think they will play a tour with the entire new album. They will probably put out a DVD of that also.

Yes that was it . I also saw the same show later that year at the P.N.C. Artcenter in N.J.. I got to see Fight and Halford the band in a few small bars in my area over time. But with the last tour i have a question? Why didn't they (Priest) play the Izod also in N.J., as they have done and i've seen so many times? I really think they will be back to push this double c.d. sometime next year, with just ONE opening act! Yea that would be great ( downloading the picture). Funny i saw his band Halford open up for Maiden some years ago. Brave New World tour i think? Why wasn't he banned? I hope one day very soon they could put aside their differences, both sides, and play their before they do hang it up for good. They've already payed for the seats, move on already Madison Square Garden. Always loved the train ride into the city. I took pictures that night and have a good one of Halfords bike burried on stage in seat cussions. I took it to FYE on 5th avenue in Manhattan back in November when he was promoting the release of the War of Words video. He signed it for me put on a big sile and began telling stories ofthe concert. He also was telling us about how they were banned from the garden and how K.K. and Glen had a hard time getting in to watch a tennis match a few days later.
I'm not a wiz on the computer, but if I can get someone to scan the picture for me, I'll post it here. |

FUN - DEVO ANT THE PALLADIUM IN NYC - IT WAS SO HOT THAT NIGHT HALF THE AUDIENCE STRIPPED DOWN TO THEIR UNDERWEAR AND WRE DANCING IN THE AISLES.
ADVENTUROUS - PATTI SMITH - SLEPT IN THE MUD OVER NIGHT IN CENTRAL PARK TO GET FRONT ROW SEATS.
THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH - JUDAS PRIEST - I'VE SEEN THEM 50-60 TIMES OR SO AND THEY NEVER FAIL TO TO PUT ON A SHOW FULL OF ENERGY AND EXCITEMENT, MUSCALLY AND THEATRICALLY.
DON'T KNOW IF I CAN PICK JUST ONE PRIEST SHOW BUT WHEN THEY TOURED SIN AFTER SIN IT WAS GREAT BECAUSE THEY WERE STILL RAW AND EDGY. SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE WAS GREAT THE FIRST TIME I SAW THEM AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN. 18-20K IN THE AUDIENCE - THE HELLION ON STAGE TO OPEN THE SHOW - AND ROBS BIKE BEING BURRIED IN FOAM SEAT CUSSIONS AT TRHE END ON THE SHOW.

I'm sorry to hear that. Is there any chance you could catch them some where else? It would be sad if you never got to see them LIVE. How about Maiden or Metallica? I take it you live where a lot of bands don't get go too often.
