I am a WWII  nut, I have several videos from documentaries to actual footage videos. I have had this "hobby" since I was a child , though I`m not sure as to why.
But Saving Private Ryan is a very good and emotional movie. It`s had me fog up every time I`ve watched it.
Here is a link to a place I visit every summer, very intersting place, check it out.

Saving Private  Ryan is a great film .
the men who fought in WW2 lived through things that our generation will never see.
you should be proud of your grandfather .
when I  was a kid, I knew a man who fought at " the bulge "
our veterans deserve to be remembered for their sacrifice for all the rest of us

Nothing, not even "Shaving Ryan's Privates" (heh...couldn't resist...to bad it wasn't "Driving Mrs. Daisy") beats South Park's "The Red Badge of Gayness."

Anyone here see that Movie I just watched it the other night? Not trying to sound like a pussy but I cried my eyes out.It made me think of my GrandDad who passed away in 2008.He was a member of the First Special Service force " The Black Devils".He told me alot about his war time experiences in World War II.We were really close. To this day I miss him Alot.He received  the bronze star from the U.S. Government for his service. I know when the movie came out in the theatre my Dad tried to take him to see it but he didn't want to go . I guess it would just bring up old bad memories of the war. If anyone is interested in finding out about his unit here's a link
