Actually, it was MYSELF I put on ignore.  I'm such a dork.   I got it figured out, folks.  *inserts Tim Gunn inpersonation*  "Carry on, carry on."

Hit the Admin tab at the top of this page and see if their name is in your "ignore" list. If they are listed, a "remove" will appear right across from their name.

Welcome, BTW.

Hey, Anthony...I meant to respond to you here but accidentally sent you a PM instead.  Still trying to get used to this place.
Anyhow...thanks.  Will have to try it & see how it goes.  It's about time I get my butt back on here.  This is one board I have to visit when I have a day off work & not too much to do because I KNOW I will be on here 4/EVER.
Anyhow, to Jeanine...what section is the Sinfully Delicious thread in?

Hi everybody again.
True is I like more Bruce Dickinson that Paul.
I know very well that the first album of iron maiden were led by Paul, but Bruce has given much prestige and push the band since joining the ranks of maiden. His voice is integrated and has improved a lot in this regard.
Paul has his life in another band and his voice has deteriorated over the years. And is that not everyone will share this opinion, but I think so.

Will have to try to get a hold of it once I get in better financial standing.  Had too much fun this summer, so I'm paying the price right now.    But it was all worth it, though.  Seeing Priest in San Antonio last month was the highlight of it!

I think both these guys are great in their own unique ways.  As far as professionalism is concerned, I'd have to say Bruce.
[K2M] Tuesday, September 16, 2008 3:36:08 PM
I have always loved Paul.  I would not get into the who is a better issue.  Thank you Iron Maiden for the power of the early years.  And we celebrate the blessings of unique Iron Maiden offerings.
[joedraper] Tuesday, September 16, 2008 3:26:45 PM
Jeanine, did you ever see that program Bruce used to host on the Discovery network? Flying Heavy Metal I think it was called. I loved it! He was a great presenter, very lively and very "Bruce like". Also he came across as very professional. Tell me that guy has the two most thrilling jobs a man could want!

Something funny as well, my two year old daugher bears the strangest resemblace to Bruce, it's uncanny.. Even my husband has looked at pictures of them side by side and he just says "she'll grow out of it' gets a worried look on his face for a few seconds and then changes the subject lol.. I'll try PM you a photo of her when she was a wee bit younger... Uncanny I tell you!!!

I LOVE the first two albums but.....Bruce has proven to be an excellent frontman PLUS outside the band activities, please read below:

Published: September 2, 2008

From The Independent:

RAF pilots flown home courtesy of Iron MaidenBruce Dickinson, the singer with heavy metal outfit Iron Maiden, has in the past performed for British troops in Iraq. On Sunday, he did his bit for our boys in Afghanistan.

Dickinson, a qualified pilot for British airline Astraeus, was behind the controls of a Boeing 747 that the Ministry of Defence had chartered to transport a group of RAF pilots back home.

"A lot of them recognised him because they are Maiden fans, but he was there in his professional capacity as a pilot," says an RAF spokesman. "He gave out lots of signatures to the guys."

And from The Mirror:

Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson takes the pilot's seat of a Boeing 757Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson, 50, shocked 106 members of the RAF returning from Afghanistan, when he took control of a Boeing 757 and flew them from Cyprus to RAF Wittering, Cambs, on Sunday.

But don't panic, he's a trained pilot.

Then, look what he did....

Iron Maiden singer rescues stranded UK tourists

Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson has flown to the rescue of holiday-makers left stranded abroad after Britain's third largest tour operator collapsed, newspapers have reported.

The heavy metal hero is also a Boeing 757 pilot and flew a specially-chartered Monarch Airlines flight from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt to London Gatwick Airport.

XL Leisure Group went into administration Friday, leaving some 85,000 British tourists stranded abroad.

Since then almost 12,000 people have been brought back as part of an airlift mission conducted by the aviation regulator.

"I was just doing my job. I was called out like a lot of other pilots to help and I was obviously happy to do that," The Mail on Sunday newspaper quoted rocker Dickinson as saying.

"Some of the people on the flight were obviously frustrated by the situation they had found themselves in but everyone was pretty good-natured about it all."

Dickinson, 50, said he was off to the Greek island of Kos next to rescue some more stranded holiday-makers.

The Iron Maiden frontman has been a captain with Astraeus, having worked for the British charter airline for nine years.

Dickinson has also competed in fencing at international level.

MAIDEN WOULD NEVER BE WHO THEY ARE WITH OUT DICKINSON. HE IS ONE OF THE BEST METAL VOCALISTS.  BUT DIANNO WAS GREAT ALSO. MAYBE HE DIDN'T HAVE THE BEST VOICE BUT HE KNEW HOW TO USE IT AND HE USED IT WELL. ALMOST LIKE BON SCOTT. KILLERS IS STILL ONE OF THE GREATEST METAL ALBUMS OF ALL TIME AND FIRST MAIDEN ALBUM HAS SOME GREAT THINGS ON IT ALSO.

[Priest fan down under] Friday, August 15, 2008 3:55:43 AM

Ok i dont want to debate this one, Dianno was good in his time but Dickinson (the human air raid siren ((yes i know he hates the nick name)) is way better .

Bruce "Air-Raid-Siren" Dickinson.
[Koffe113] Friday, July 25, 2008 7:57:18 AM
DICKINSON!!
[warrel] Friday, July 25, 2008 2:19:43 AM
ok,please go and see di anno live today and you will see that this question should not exist. The man can't even sing killers or iron maiden.

DICKINSON IS BY FAR GREATER!
He even sings di anno's songs much better than him.
[The Dreamer] Friday, July 18, 2008 8:33:41 PM
The first two IM albums are absolute pearlers and I crank them up all the time.

But I really think that Maiden would have been just another post-punk band without Bruce.

Could Aces High have been written with Paul in the band?
[Defender Stu] Friday, July 18, 2008 7:33:04 PM
Paul was great but he didn't even like being in iron maiden. Bruce just brought Iron maiden to a far more proffessional level. If they had kept dianno i doubt they'd still be releasing good albums.
[Maple Syrup] Wednesday, July 16, 2008 10:46:15 PM
Paul Dianno. Started the whole Maiden movement with the semi-punk voice. Roadhouse Tapes, Iron Maiden & Killers. They were already huge by the time Dickheadson was brought in..
[imdpriest] Wednesday, July 16, 2008 10:26:42 PM
Dickerson!!

just listen(or see)  Number of the Beast

2 words--Bruce Dickinson
[PointOfEntry66] Monday, July 14, 2008 6:05:33 AM
Paul DiAnno's  voice was good but Bruce Dickinson is one of the great singers and frontmen in Metal. What a voice Bruce has. No contest, Bruce is superior to Paul.

Bruce Dickinson is the best thing that has ever happened to Iron Maiden. He is the reason Iron Maiden have gotten to where they are now.

To the one who said, that the X factor and Virtual XI suck:
No they don't, you've to listen to the X Factor at least 3 times before you like it. Yes, I have all Iron Maiden albums, and they are all great, but the X Factor is the best of the beast.
[AYESHA72] Tuesday, July 01, 2008 8:25:01 AM

For me, it hass to be Bruce Dickinson. Most of the Iron Maiden album I own has him singing on them.
