HAAA!! Prudent decision.

I'll just go back to holding my breath about my first question. Where are the writers / poets here in our merry group?

I was going to come back with "No, I've always paid the syntax" but I really don't want to carry this on.
I don't want a single person thinking this is what I do. I love my wife. See the Love Thread.

No. A "rhyme scheme" is a simple ABABCC (for example ) sort of straight-forward organization. It does not mix standard "subject, verb, object" syntax. Nice attempt. Try again.

You know, for all the times I have seen and answered riddles in this thread I don't think I have seen more than a handful of posts that have followed the actual topic: riddles about Priest. That said, here is one:

What do you call it when song lyrics or lines of poetry are taken out of normal syntax to maintain rhyme? For example, Love Bites:

Into your room
Where in deep sleep
There you lie still
To you I creep (vs. I creep to you)

Then I descend
Close to your lips
Across you I bend (vs. I bend across you)
You smile as I sip

You got it, Guido!!

Look in the mirror and see what you saw, take the saw and cut the table into two halves, two halves make a (w)hole, climb out through the hole.

OK, here's another 'simple' one for ya...

How far can a dog run into the woods???

Nah, I remember this one. Something like: look in the mirror and see what you saw. Use the saw to cut the table in half. Put the pieces back together to make a whole (hole) and escape.
[jimmyjames] Saturday, May 29, 2010 7:33:12 PM

You're in a room with no doors or windows (don't ask how you got there because I don't know lol).  In the room is a mirror and a table...how can you get out???

(Yes, there is a ceiling and a floor)

I think this one might be very easy for some people.

[TheElectricEyedRouge] Thursday, July 16, 2009 1:18:25 PM
Heh, maybe that was the idea of a swimming pool caused from sailors from a long time ago seeing too many oarfish.
But I'd prefer mountain waterfalls, lakes and creeks than a pool... the smell of the chemicals bothers me a lot.

lol  That's a pic of an Oarfish mentioned in the riddle below...had to see it for myself...that's a baby compared to some of the other pics I've seen...I could only imagine what our sea bearing forefathers must have thought when they would see one of those fully grown swimming alongside their boats!!!  Could be seen as and ancient sea dragon before they were actually identified!!!  Maybe that's what gave mankind the first idea for a swimming pool!!!

Looked up Oarfish, I had never heard of one. What a cool looking fish. No wonder those who saw it way back would have thought it was a sea monster. Do you know which animal was most likely mistaken for the Mermaid?
[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by TheElectricEyedRouge from Thursday, June 25, 2009 11:10:29 AM)
[TheElectricEyedRouge] Thursday, June 25, 2009 11:10:29 AM

Tis an oarfish, their bodies are sky blue and they have a red crest or crown. Like, when people though the world was flat, sometimes people would come across a oarfish floating on the water when they're sick or dying (I look up to the skies when it's my time dying) and they thought it was a sea serpent about to eat them and they thought it's scales were hard like most sea serpents. They thought since it was a sea serpent, they would think it had an eternal life. Then the current of the ocean makes them drift on a shore on an island or rocks in the middle of the sea.

[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by TheElectricEyedRouge from Wednesday, June 17, 2009 7:02:31 PM)
[TheElectricEyedRouge] Wednesday, June 17, 2009 7:02:31 PM
I swim in the vast oceans
My body is sky blue and my crown is red
I am thought to be a sea monster in search for human flesh
My body is long, scaly and hard like steel
I seem to have an eternal life
But I am a mortal being
For I look up to the skies when it's my time dying
Then I drift upon the waves to hit a sandy beach so warm and dry
Or I crash into rocks in the middle of the sea or near the shore
What am I?

The US is fucked, tho. It took me a better part of an hour to figure it all out. And Europe would be a lot easier if it werent for all those city states like Monaco and Andorra.
