She's on my computer each morning, I'm never on hers! Her surfing is what I want to stop! And yes I know how to do the autocorrect one, while I've NEVER done it to anyone at work, I do know all about it and it doesn't get any easier than that. Best and easiest is to put words into the autocorrect of Word that change every "for" for "fer" etc. Things too small to notice. She scared the shit out of me so now that the threat of losing her is going, I'm pretty angry. She chain smokes and that is why she got the lung infection in the first place. I just know that in a few days, she'll be feeling better and she'll light up again. Even though she promises me she wont.
I'm just grateful that for now, her life does not seem to be at risk anymore.
Thank you so much for your well wishes, they certainly help in times like these xxx |

Yes. Know it and have done it. You have to rip it. If it is already DVD, you are halfway there (harder to go from VHS to DVD). You just need a segmenting proggie. Something capaple of putting in a chapter menu.
PM me. What type of computer, how much RAM, harddisk space (you'll need a ton) and I can help. Google +segment +DVD (keep the plusses) if you want to go around me. Haven't looked lately but the advice I saw years ago was very solid. You'll have to rip the dvd to your harddrive to do anything first, though. Actually, postage here is not that expensive you if don't tag a bunch of stuff on like certified, and return receipts, but I will certify the shoes so If they get lost all I have to do is show them the reciept from the box and be rembursed and send the money back to Becks. BUT in all my years dealing with the US Postal service they have never lost a package of mine, so they are pretty good, and as long as it's traceable outside the US it will usually gets there without trouble. Too bad the USPS has so much compettion that they might not be around for much longer. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by joedraper from Sunday, September 06, 2009 4:09:33 AM)

All this talk about bulbs reminded me I need to change a tail light that can't seem to make up it's mind whether it's burnt out or still has some life left in it - lol Think I'll go ahead and change both. Fortunately, all I have to dismantle are the tail light covers nowhere near being attached to the fender! Thank the Jeep engineers ... simple minds think alike - lol That's why I love the old Jeeps ... not a lot of components and easy to fix! ; ) |

modern cars are put together with no regard for repair later, much less customization. the first Magnum we had on fleet a bird hit the headlight. had to remove the bumper and fender to install new light. 5 hour job. The good news is the worst new cars are still way more reliable than the best from the 80's (or older). still, the old cars were easy to work on compared to now. supose thats good cause you had too. Easy problem to troubleshoot (hell, I do it all day long) and it turns out to be the power supply causing Windows go crap out on me. No prob., got a bigger and better one than the stock one that came with the cheapo case I bought at home so just swap them out, right? DAMN! Some friggin' GENIOUS made that devilish case in such a manner that I had to take out all the drives (two HDs, CD and second DVD/RW and floppy) and almost the motherboard to get that original piece o crap out of there!
Phew, ok. Got that out of my system. 9pm and just coming back from lugging a now working machine back to the office. Still, I'd like to throttle the guy who designed that beautiful toolless Antec case. Ex-Ford engineer, to be sure. |

Took ages to find a freakin' 50cent bulb because of its odd shape and size. Finally found it in some hole-in-the-wall place that looked like it hadn't had a customer in twenty years. Old guy who went back for it looked like the Cryptkeeper!
Needless to say, I bought three that day never to have such a worry ever again. Blasted Fix Or Repair Daily engineer! |
