Hahaha that is so true Spa!!!! If only I could subject him to what the dog goes through!!! In a perfect world, as you say.
Vail - the drumming is coming along well. Teaching myself AC/DC at the mo, then maybe Hot Rockin. I'm in love with Starbreaker at the moment too, but it's a bit too technical for me right now haha. I'm actually a bit tempted to bring it over to play with my dog, and I have had discussions with the SPCA regarding not being able to get to shelter from sun and rain. I've been secretly feeding it dog treats too LOL!!!! Problem is, my neighbours will know it's me if I release it, and lets just say they aren't the nicest people, especially the man that lives there. They'd probably get really nasty with me. I am keeping an eye on things, the degree to which they have no idea about lol. Sorry to hear about that, Kiamat. Did you guys bring your own sound equipment? If not, then have a pre-planned setup for the mics. Before your group performs, count the number of "steps" between mic stands or have a rope that is the same length as the space between them. That way when the time comes to adjust them for any specific song, you'll all know where everything goes. That was how we did it when I was in choir in high school.
Oh yeah! And have someone in your group be familiar with the workings of the sound system in case you guys have to use someone else's equipment. Always good to have an expert in those kinds of situations. Ouch. That really sucks. I can't imagine getting booed off stage in anything really. I remember being in choir in high school my freshman year and there were times we sucked and we got some polite applause and some indifference early on. We got better as the year went on but we all got an earfull from our music teacher for our "emotionless" performance. But to get booed off stage because of overexpectation? WTF. That is messed up. Hope you have a good rest of the weekend. Just continue to rock hard and ride free!! Maybe I should get a Maiden T-Shirt just to scare away any Christian fundies who might come knocking!!! Incidentally... you call 25 a KID??? Now, it just so happens that I am wearing my Iron Maiden/Number of the Beast t-shirt today!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am TOTALLY serious. In my case, what weirded me out was the fact that this woman came from Germany, was old enough to know all about the horrors of the concentration camps, and still considered the mass slaughter described in the Old Testament (of which we have no proof whatsoever, I might add), to be JUSTIFIABLE under the title, "ETHNIC CLEANSING". WTF????????? She was going on about how the Israelites were 'God's chosen people', and that therefore everyone who lived near them had to be wiped out to 'purify' humanity. I just got kinda pissy and pointed out that the Nazis talked the same way - seemed to touch a nerve...

HAAAAAHAAHAAAA!!! Oh man, I wish it had been that easy for me when I was living in my last accommodation! I was house-sharing with, among others, a Jehovah's Witness... At one point we (my fiancée and I, plus a friend of ours) all missed DINNER because we were arguing so long and hard - not that it wasn't fascinating stuff (and I do enjoy challenging people's faith 'cos it's often the only time in their LIVES when they actually start to think critically of their own viewpoints - sadly rarely for very long), but man were we hungry afterwards... Maybe I should get a Maiden T-Shirt just to scare away any Christian fundies who might come knocking!!! Incidentally... you call 25 a KID??? Man, I suddenly feel young again after being in a depressive "I'm getting old" funk after my 22nd birthday! HAAAAAAAA!!!

OK, so I am not sure if I should post this here or in the "Things that make you Laugh" section but I simply MUST share this with you all!! (Mind you, what you are about to read is NOT made up)
I just had a knock on my front door and, when I answered it, a nicely dressed young man (around 25 or so) was standing on my porch with his bible. He said, "Hello, I am from the church of God". Now, it just so happens that I am wearing my Iron Maiden/Number of the Beast t-shirt today!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am TOTALLY serious. The kid glanced down at my shirt at the same time as I did and, when we both locked eyes again, we BOTH burst out into laughter!!!!!! HAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!! I told him to have a nice day and off he went, still snickering!! I SWEAR to you, I am STILL laughing!!!! I ran back to tell the Princess and now SHE is laughing! Absolutely HILARIOUS!!!
