Yeah mate, Mr Tinkertrain ends really abruptly in the middle of a line, "that's why they...", then it goes straight into that huge riff that opens I Don't Want To Change The World.

Does anybody own Ozzy Osbourne's "No More Tears" from 1991? The first track, Mr Tinkertrain, wherever I've listened to it seems to have a sudden ending instead of coming to a proper stop.

This is the best thread on this forum, I must admittedly say. It gives a lot of inspiration to buy albums I don't have which are listed here. And right now, I'm going downtown to buy Ozzy Osbourne's No More Tears
[Return_of_Darth_Painkiller_0870] Friday, October 31, 2008 5:56:33 AM

Dehumanizer definitely stands out as the most powerful album Sabbath had put out since Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.  I first heard Time Machine when I picked up the Wayne's World soundtrack (porn star Tia Carre's version of Sweet's Ballroom Blitz always makes me thing dirty thoughts and alternate lyrics Hehehehe).  Too be honest, it wasn't until a few years ago until I decided to give the post-Ozzy Sabbath eras a listen to (thank you Sirius Satellite Radio).  I think the musicianship on the album is searing hot and Dio's vocal's are at their most powerful during I.

As for Seventh Star, I like The Shining, but never had a chance to hear the whole album.  Okay...I could not sit through No Stranger To Love.  Black Sabbath doing a power ballad?  And a crappy one at that.  Sorry but that sucked big time.  There are very very few songs from the Kevin Martin and Ian Gillian eras that I care for, and that was definitely not one of them.  Not even close.  I'm gonna go puke now.

I love dehumanizer
[Craig Wagenhoffer] Wednesday, October 29, 2008 6:51:32 PM
Yeah, Sabotage is excellent! What's your opinion on Dehumanizer?

Yesterday I decided to give Seventh Star another listen. Seventh Star is Black Sabbath "pulling a Turbo": mullets and synths all over the place. Seventh Star was released in 1986 as well. Funny huh?

The songs are 100% glam rock. The vocals are smooth as silk. The lyrics are just silly and the music is mellow and cheesy as hell. The video to "No Stranger To Love" is completely ridiculous. All the singer's doing is walking around with that silly mullet. And yet, I'm really enjoying this whole thing. Go figure...

My classic heavy metal platter of the day:

Black Sabbath - Dehumanizer (1992)

This is Black Sabbath's greatest album IMO. It's Black Sabbath on steroids! Yes, I actually think that this terribly underrated album is even better than the classic Sabbath stuff from the seventies with Ozzy.  It's also their heaviest and most brutal effort. This album rocks hard from beginning to end. This masterpiece combines the best of all the Black Sabbath eras. Ronnie James Dio is the singer here and he sounds incredible. The solos are all great and the riffs just completely pummel you, and force you to obey or die.

There are two major categories of songs here. There are a few faster songs like "TV Crimes" and the awesome speed metal monster "Time Machine". The rest of the album is made up of slow-to-midpaced crushers. Check out the brutal riff in "Buried Alive". Every song on the album is a highlight.

I remember Ronnie James Dio left the band before the Dehumanizer tour came to an end and if I am not mistaken, Rob Halford filled in on vocals for a short time. Now that would've been a show to see!!!!
