Yeah, I do agree that their sound was poor. I do not know why. I guess that maybe their sound person is not very good? I mean, I do not know for sure but I assume that each act has their own sound engineers? Naturally, it would follow that the better acts would be able to afford better sound. So many people do not give proper credit to sound engineers. It is an art!! Not just anyone can sit in front of a soundboard and do it well!!! Same goes for mixing an album or even a song. That is why the big acts like Priest seek out the BIG name producers.! Hello Blah folk!
What an amazing monday! It was a public holiday today so we have had a rather vegetative weekend lol. Involving loads of sleep, lying in bed reading until wee hours of the morning and then not having to worry about getting up to get kids to school etc.. Every once in a while this is so needed!~
Tomorrow my car goes in for repairs finally! They eventually tracked down the spare part that needs replacing and are ready for me. I sense another fantastic week coming up ahead. I'm starting to believe more and more in the philosophy that life is truly what we make of it.
BEV!!! So good to see you back! how are you? I hope you are doing well you stop by so seldom that it's always great to see you here xxxx [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Bev from Monday, August 10, 2009 5:41:15 AM) | | Bev wrote: | | Have a wonderful Monday JP.com |

LOL! Like Guido just said.... Great to hear Freeze, that totally rocks man!! Yeah I think the younger kids just don't "expect" someone that is 61 years old(Glenn Tipton)
to come out on stage and kick your ass and totally BLOW AWAY all the bands the kids are currently listening too...I think that when they see and hear it live they feel the
power that is "Heavy Metal"...and just hearing it on CD is not enough,...they must witness it live and when they do they realize that it is "strong" and then they can see
why we have been raving about these guys(Judas Priest) our whole lives!!!! Thats totally priceless Freeze!!! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Sunday, August 09, 2009 10:15:47 AM) | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Thanks, guys. It truly was as magical as I say. I have often read that this happens when we finally get the younger folks to a Priest show but to actually see it happening was a rare treat for me. I am not used to being around kids in the first place so this is quite an experience for ME as well!! HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
Will the lad actually turn away from Hollister shirts and "Pop" music?? I cannot say. I think there are far too many forces at work in a young person's life and since he is entering high school this year, it is likely he will try desperately to "fit in".. I do not know with certainty that Priest will be a part of that BUT I am encouraged. While we were at the show, he kept receiving texts and sending pics to his inquiring friends. I guess that Metal is not all THAT bad in the eyes of the young. With a little luck................. |

I know what you mean. It's facinating to find out but not really a pivot in time. Just cool for your own knowledge! like My Great Great grandfater was called Joseph " the Huganaut" (sp) Hare. But he was an Indian Maurader and My Great Grandmother was a full blooded Cheerokee. So the thing he fought against, was married into the family. Why the hell the faught the indians instead of just living in areas the indians were not I will never understand. To this day a plow blade layed on this land will turn up arrowheads easy. Hi Spa!!
That's cool y'all know this stuff about your families. I know my ancestors came by boat to America, but when is a mystery to me. My family tree is a bit sketchy, but I know my namesake came by boat in the 1600's (the first Hartsells') but can't say if they're my paricular line. Yep, now your on a really GIANT island! We have an island in the chessapeke bay called Tangier, and my family actually made me stay a whole weekend on the thing. It's only a mile long. The coolest kid on the island had a not so cool motorcycle, and you could walk the whole island in 15 minutes! LOL It was like being condemed to hell! We didn't even have a hotel, we stayed in a rented house! LOL I try to do that but don't always succeed hehe. Cheers for that, we're possibly going to be visiting the Gold Coast in the next couple of months, yay! LOL! I wasn't sure how hot it gets around there in spring time compared to here - a fair bit warmer by the sounds LOL! My weekend is going pretty well. Took out a few parts from my desk today so I can have more room to write/eat/use the computer. Looks almost like an office desk now!!!
