HELL YEAH BECKS THAT IS TOTALLY AWESOME.REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU.REALLY NICE PICTURES.HELL YEAH [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Becks from Saturday, August 14, 2010 8:30:32 PM) | | Becks wrote: | | Ok guys, I have an AWESOME story to share! So last night was the G-Taranaki gig, incluing Hail! (with Ripper Owens on vocals and Scott Travis on drums) and Slash. The gig kicked ass. My friend I was with and I left just before Slash's gig finished so we could get to the venue of the sold out midnight gig and wait to catch Scott. We turned up and the security guy was like no he's not here and he's not meeting any of the public. We decided to wait anyways. My friend did all the talking to security people cos I am quite shy lol. She spots this dude and talks to him, an American guy called Dan, and he said yeah it should be fine to get an autograph, Scott is a nice guy really approachable etc. He said to just keep waiting cos they wouldn't be far away. So we waited and not long after a van turned up with the members of Hail! we went down and my friend spoke to him, said welcome to New Zealand, this is my friend Rebecca and she's a really big fan. He said 'Of me?!' being a bit silly lol and I pointed out my SFV shirt (which he would have noticed lol) and we shook hands and he said 'we're going to have a photo together right?' and so he put his arm around my shoulders and we had two pics together, and he signed a copy of Painkiller for me! I told him the set Hail! played was awesome and he said he found it a bit weird not playing on his normal drum kit, and I said I play drums too and he said well you'll know what I mean then and I was like yep sure do. He then asked my friend and I if we were going in to the gig. I said no we don't have tickets and he said 'What?!' and I said we only had tickets to the earlier show. So he turns to the guy Dan and says 'we've gotta get them in man!'!!! Dan was a bit incredulous then Scott said 'they're my guests' so we got taken in the back door to the sold out gig!!!! Holy crap! We saw Slash playing with Uli Jon Roth, Hail! played another small set, and when Slash went to come on he was standing about a metre away from me. What a hell of a night! Scott is such a nice friendly guy I was so happy to get to meet him and he was so generous with getting my friend and I in to the other gig (which was only for a couple hundred people). Here's the pics I took lol. Excuse the close up one of me and Scott I look a bit psycho cos I was very excited.

My signed copy of Painkiller it says 'To lovely Rebecca' hehe.

HRMG, He's actually sleeping pretty well, he's only woken up once in each of the past two nights. Not bad for someone whose only six days old. His first heavy metal experience was me playing him Killers by Iron Maiden, I know, I should have played him Priest for his first album but I had Killers in the car when we took him home from the hospital. It's still a good first album for a young person to hear. |

Who knows, but whatever coaching has been going on has been working cos the Boks have been nigh on unbeatable in the last year though. Or chuck a pass to Habana and let him sprint over the try line.
