I'm supposed to be moving up there around October, we're expanding our region to cover Palmerston North and I'm going to be running that part of it. In Kapiti at the moment. My oldest GRANDSON just turned nine and my other grandson is five AND just started kindergarden!!!! The Princess has two boys. Her oldest will be 21 next year!!! HA!!!!!!!!! They are amazingly "vital" people , aren't they??? |

Congrats Ellieke
As cliche as it sounds, I'm going to say it anyways: They really do grow up way, way too fast. My youngest has just officially finished with nappies. She's been off day nappies for a while now but has only been off night nappies for about a month or two. We were watching something on TV and there was a pregnant lady getting an ultra sound. So the kids were asking me what was happening and I grabbed their unltra sound photos and showed them. They were blown away. These two little toddlers standing there going "oh was when I lived in your tummy?". It was so cute but also frighting because it seems a lifetime ago!
Our youngest is three and our oldest is four so we are run off our feet pretty much every day lol.. (not that I'd give up my exaustion for anything! They are so worth it!) Pip, I'm sorry for your double loss. I hear exactly what you say, putting a time frame on grieving to just a few hours (which is what they're giving you) is pathetic as well as cold. They don't seem to take into account that you may have to help out with funeral arrangements, accomodation for other family members etc.
Makes you wonder what will become of our world and human nature.
Well, we're here for you if you need to talk about anything
