I just voted for Priest for Noisecreep's "Most anticipated release of the month". That other band I like won for the month of May but the competition wasn't as strong. Priest is tied with Guns N' Roses (DVD/BD). If they win it gives them exposure for the month. This is probably a good poll to vote in so vote.

I'm not sure what anyone is hoping for but for me personally I might get exactly what I was hoping for. I didn't want "Painkiller ll" or "British Steel ll" but just wanted something that had that "Priest" sound and showed a progression forward with a more modern feel to it and not something that followed a formula like I feel A.O.R. did. I think they started with a weak track but followed up with some decent stuff. I never expected to lke every song (I never have) but was hoping that the first track released was not the norm. Sounds like probably not. I'm looking forward to this. I can't wait to hear it all.

Holy shit man,Halls Of Valhalla sounds epic and heavy!! Rob's screams are awesome man. Christ this whole LP could be excellent, every song may be good here, maybe not but whos to say? This album "does not sound like Painkiller" (thank god) but is gonna be quality wise just as good you watch....the rest of this album is gonna shiut these nay sayers mouths!
Head Banger...this album I think is gonna surpass AOR..... |

Sorry for the abrupt drop off ( lol )
Look at what they teased us with when they gave us a glimpse at the first few album cover art .....and then they revealed in my opinion thier best artwork ever on a JP album....not saying this is going to be thier best album, but there is more....
11 tracks left to listen to for christs sake and these idiots are bitching!! Some Priest fans they claim to be huh.
Yeah again,....think if Rock Hard Ride Free came out right now....fuck people would be just as shitty with thier comments.
And yeah, now they are in thier 60s.....these asshole wannabe critics need to STFU and go listen to some shitty bands like Five Finger Death Punch or some other crappy screaming bullshit.

Becks absolutely, who the FUCK are all these idiots? And what I like is that most start off thier comments with "I'm a huge Judas Priest fan" blah blah blah....
Its a fuckin joke. Even though Painkiller remains the heaviest Priest album(along with Jugulator) its obvious already that they intend to "leave PK the heaviest lp in thier discography". They chose to do this,so what I say!!!
They are making (or already made I should say) Redeemer Of Souls stand up with its own sound identity like they do with every album.
There are "11" songs left on the album still to listen to...if one is an instrumental, then yeah we still have 10 more tracks to check out and study...
Look at what

Makes me quite sad, actually, some people are never satisfied as you've said. I'm not saying everyone should like every song JP has released, but stop ripping on a bunch of 60 odd year old dudes cos they don't sound like they did 30 fucking years ago! FFS grow a brain!

march of the damned is a good riff-laden piece of music with a pretty darn good solo, as for rob.....;.... exiled from nostradamus is one of the best songs off of that album IMO, i like the way rob sings in a controlled subdued manner yet projects so much power!!,march of the damned reminds of that sublelty a hint of whats to come later,l;ike when the song alone follows the mellow tones of exiled and then hits that AAAAALONE and proceeds to get a little heavier with a more pronounced scream !, this is what the band does best, experimentation, trys something new , a new look ,a new sound and i am glad they arent a formulaic band that just regurgitates what they have done before. .

VERY well-stated, HRMG. Exactly how I feel about Rob's voice and other bands. Driving home from the airport the other day, for example, they play some old Maiden on the Boneyard. I remember thinking back to the time when I thought that they were good. Same for Metallica. Both just get so damn predictable that it bores me to high heaven. Best Metallica song of late? Cover of their Dio tribute "mashup." Then again, it was a cover....

if you only want the same song played 10 times on 1 album, buy the single, and put it on repeat. seems simple to me. No, I dont like every song they have ever done. I may never listen to Nost start to finish again. sure wont listen to Rocka Rolla start to finish again. so, the diversity makes them what they are. Just back from Honduras and I completely agree about the new album AND your comments about it, JD. Can't wait to hear the whole thing. All the buzz from those (insiders) that have heard the whole thing? Nothing but positive!
Yeah, you know that I like Nostra (obviously some tracks over others as I do have that "filter" that fanboys/girl often lack) but am ready for some classic Priest!!!
As posted: One band to rule them all !!!!

They should have released this song first. At least this one sounds like they were trying to be heavy. Songs like this will make me like this CD, the other song makes me not even want to hear it. I pray it is more in the vain of the second song. As for the new sound I'm not sure I ever ask for anything but that except that it be heavy so if it doesn't sound like "Painkiller" I think that's great.

@Budred ,those ticket stubs brought it all back! i waited with a thigh cast from a bad motorcycle accident for 30 hours for tickets to The Stones Steel Wheels" FAREWELL TOUR " lol, went done in a bus with 17 other people from the line up and was one of the best experiences i have ever had !!!! The Fuel For Life Tour in 86 was another great moment!!! 4 of us went down to see Priest. i am from the interior of British Columbia Canada, and at that time the quickest way to make the trip was over a high mountain road on a toll road called the Coquihalla highway We were abou 50 klicks in to an almost 500 klick journey when the water pump blew! well being young . we didnt have the money to buy a spare part , but we bought a map. we then mapped out our route and timed how long we had between over heats to stop at one of the many creeks along the way and fill up . we used whatever we had on hand (beer cans , pop cans ) to fill up and as we stopped , we were able to collect more stuff that was lying around to fill up ( milk jugs ,etc) as we got more containers we could drive further lol. we played paper, rock, scissors to see who had to take the radiator cap off, as this was not a fun job!!! but fun to watch that geyser go!!! our biggest worry was rush hour traffic in the july heat and not getting stuck on the Port Mann bridge !! i got to see my first concert that evening, and it was the mighty Priest!!!!. We slept in a tent that night on a one of the guys uncles lawn and did it all again on the road home !!! It was 1986 and a great time to be 18!!!! there is a lot more to those 2 stories but that needs to be done over a couple of cold ones and a good chuckle . we often have polls on this site , and there was a discussion on why people picked Turbo over A.O.R ??? i picked Turbo, why?............Memories cheers Acolyte

@Acolyte55
That would be a very cool surprise.
I saw the Stones in 89' also. "Steel WheelsTour" at 3 Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh.(since torn down)(actually I was there when they imploded it.) I never cared much for the Stones until that show. I was hanging with a friend that day and he said he would scalp us some tickets if I rode up with him.I thought they were pretty badass. Not on the heavy side but just quality musicianship and a pretty spectacular show. I like the Stones(64'-74'era) alot now and saw them again in Columbus Ohio on their "No Security Tour" in 99'. Not sure if that was a play on their "Altamont" show or not.

I was called over to my parents house , as they were purging the basement and found a box of my old paperwork etc and did I want to have a look through it? imagine my surprise wbhen I found my ticket stubs from some old concerts tucked in to the wallet I used to carry around , including Priest fuel for life 1986 and painkiller 1990 the stones 1989 and meatloaf 1989 and some others . I had thought them all gone for the last 24 years , good memories came flooding back !!!! |

If anything, maybe it will force him to automatically post positive reviews about the lp even though it is not another Painkiller, and even if he doesnt like it just to defuse my predictions of his crapy posts.
We know if its not like "Painkiller" Evans and hellrider 90210 wont like it.
We know if it turns out like Justin Beiber Tania,Trixi and booger man will like it no matter what is on it.
Members like this are retarded. |

Ha,not sure why you think it bothers me that Saxon has less money than Judas Priest? (lol) They dont care why should you Evans? Lmao ha!
If this new LP is not a carbon copy of ...."sigh"....."Painkiller"....then you will bad mouth the album because of it.
I have already predicted you will not like this new album, you will like 5 tracks at best and call the album a half ass project.
You are really not much of a Priest fan rather than a 1990 Painkiller fan. Yet you like ALL Iron Maiden albums and songs 100% equal, you have the same opinions of Maiden that these idiots Trixi,Tania, flick my boogers have about Priest.
So everyone sit back and watch Evans post everything I said about the new lp.. |

Thanks, Becks. Whatcha think? Leave the rough metal background alone (sliver) or go with black as HB suggested?
As I've told other friends, now that I have a mould, more are not impossible to make. Were I to go with the black background metal, I'd probably have an entirely other piece made.

Jeweler and I are still talking about giving the background a black tone to make the JP "pop" a bit more.

I ask because it is a word that is chiefly used in the southern dialect in the US. That and "I'm fixin' ta...." (I am planning on...). eg. I'm fixin' to eat after this note.
Curious. Did you ever see the series (or movie) "The Beverly Hillbillies?" I live in "fixin' ta.." and "reckon" (in that specific usage) land here in the South. Yeeee Hawwwww!
