What about the $7-10 Ticketmaster "convenience" fee. Like there was any way around it? Hell, it would be more convenient for me not to pay it!
As for merch? Dayum. We gonna throw THAT into the mix, we are talking bank loan here!
Yup, I got tix. Hoping for a closer venue / summer tour but will take what I can get! Now....voting...THAT is free! Catching the Eurythmics! Vote often!!!

Fingers crossed. Think WY is a bit closer than WA, but either way its more than 12 hours drive, plus whatever time at the boarder.

Just working on album art work and song arrangements... trying to figure out which track should be first ect... Tom Allom & Andy Sneap plus Mike E. all 3 making sure the sound kicks ass. I have a feeling this new material is going to kick buttocks.
I'm very stoked. We are so damn lucky to still have this band cranking out our traditional British heavy metal we crave so badly... even if it could be the last one it's still mind blowing to realize the Priest is still here for us. Awesome!!!! Edited at: Saturday, October 21, 2017 2:06:51 AM |

Yeah, you best hope the rains don't wash me down your direction or I'll be giving you a little one or two kicks to the head there, Espantapájaros! Don't try me now. I've been working construction building a house with a buddy for a while now. Got at least ONE big Popeye hammer arm to deal with the likes of you!
Now should you feel the need to contribute to MY house rebuilding once these rains stop and you are still able to work? Let me know and I'll set up the PayPal acct. ;)

Yeah, I would have rather seen Volbeat open. The new album seems to have a few decent songs. Of course I got a disk with the tickets and have not listened to the whole thing yet. should work on that I guess. Especially, as you mentioned, with Gorija. Megadeth with SCORPIONS (NOT the other way around) would be the better ticket, IMO. Again, not coming close to me.
Good deal, though! Glad to know someone with your good tastes thought they still put on a rockin' show!

good system for getting to the show also. no parking anywhere in the area, they set up some special bus routes, and have these random parking lots in the middle of nowhere. you hop a bus from there, come out of the show, hop a bus back and no traffic. worked real well.

Since they separated this forum from the main site I thought that they just wanted to forget about this site...probably that's why you cannot create a new user now...maybe it was just disabled completely
it seems to be pretty much abandoned anyway except for the few of you who are posting regularly

Good info but how long ago did that happen? Are we talking last month or years ago?
Might as well post this in public to save others the effort but I tried for an account for Acolyte yesterday with a new email addy. No deals. Hit the same "no email confirmation" subroutine server-side here. Registers the email but no confirmation is ever sent. I'll try to send an email to see if anything comes of it. Here's hoping for that birthday present, Acolyte.

Dang! Miss ya Accolyte.
[Scratching head] This is a server-side issue. I saw last night that Webby DOES apparently log on. Last date was a few days ago as per the "stamp" for whatever that means. Posted news perhaps? Still thinking that a possible workaround for Accolyte might be to find, donate, create or loan him an active account to let him post here again. There has got to be a workaround.

A question for anyone interested. If you could design/make your own JP game for the smartphone, how would you build it?

Yeah, I'm sure it won't take another hundred years (heh) for JP to finish this album. And I agree with you on the Richie bit. His playing style just suits this band SO well. Him being in ROS and these last couple of tours has me really looking forward to this new album. Also can't wait to see the artwork! C'mon, new monster!

As for the new album hopefully it's not taking another 100 years again but from the impression the previous album left, richie has made his way into giving priest a new sound without deviating from what they usually did that much. I just got the new Iced Earth album (which I know has nothing to do with this topic) and seeing how Stu managed to renew this band's energy without trying to be matt barlow in the last two albums actually made me feel more excited about what priest could come up with
PD: I quoted vail's post because this page is not letting me type anyting unless I quote a previous message it seems...

$1000?!? YIKES! Was it MADE of gold?! That had to have been a mistake as I have seen on Amazon before. News just had Amazon for "price fixing / misleading" but that is just silly. Especially when "Mutations" can be had for 99 cents on eBay as I saw before making that last post. Special Edition and everything. SHIPPING was $3.99. Wasn't selling either.

$14 for "spares" is a nice way to think about it! Until you find a pristine copy of Mutations Special Ed selling for under $5 on eBay. One of the hardest to find and, sadly, one of the most expensive...

Man, I do have my fingers crossed that it arrives intact and await word. Still dealing with "One Live Media" to remedy that smashed as hell Glenn CD. Let's see if they come through and can only hope that they do right by you. That is some coin.
Best get the "Special Ed" of Mutations at least and I would HOPE with something else. Rob's autograph? Heck, John 5 (still makes me laugh that the resident idiots here didn't even know that he was the guitarist for Rob in the band 2wo!) is on tour with a VIP for $100 + ticket price. At least a non-dented box?? Here's hopin' In the meantime, I'll spin Mutations to send good vibes....

Ah, yes. That it was. Just now looking for my copy of Mutations? I came across several copies of the promo of "Winter Songs." Not surprising as I knew I had them given free with several purchases. Wow! Good for Rob but my BIG "wow" is sticker shock! $120 + at least $11+ shipping? Over $130USD for albums any diehard would HAVE and any casual listener wouldn't want. I actually felt "burned" in the last Priest box-set as I got it for the unreleased material but the box itself was damaged. Exactly the same comment I read again and again from others here and elsewhere. Square box with small bubble-wrap pushed into a wimpy padded envelope + expensive USPS mail = dented corners to the box! Same JUST happened to the Glenn CD. Had them both but went for it as they were autographed. Turned out to be ONE CD case with the slightest amount of bubble-wrap in a small padded envelope. Arrived flat as a pancake. Jewel case in PIECES!!
Well, no diss on the BAND, of course. Glenn and the solo? Heck, $ went to charity? Fine. One Live Media, though?! Glad to read that both the link here and what you posted on FB go to AMAZON! At least they seem to know how to take care of business.
Now were there to be a little more info? Some bonus material? Seems to have Rob's autograph in there but is that for show? Heck, how about BAXTER's autograph!

No offense to christians on the board here of course but you know what I'm getting at.
Thrash belongs underground being played by artists who are pissed off singing about subjects that usually are not accepted by people with christian beliefs and that are not rich.

Yeah, I suppose I'll get a show (they're calling it a tour, so...who knows, maybe they'll tour Canada!). It's just so weird! These two bands are on opposite ends of the "heavy" spectrum!!! On the one hand we have hard/glam-ish rock, and on the other we have thrash metal!! The latter usually has the former for breakfast!! What I'm wondering here is, "Who's gonna open for whom?!?" Scorps are saying that Megadeth are the special guests, so...is Megadeth opening???
Now don't get me wrong. I've been wanting to see both bands for the longest time. But on the same bill??.................................................well, okay. Why not. I'm sure it'll work out somehow.
