And to top it off ....the mighty SAXON is opening up for them(along with the black star riders)....

It's right around the corner... end of January,February? You'd think it'd be that soon beings they have it recorded and mixed... Just working on album art work and song arrangements... trying to figure out which track should be first ect... Tom Allom & Andy Sneap plus Mike E. all 3 making sure the sound kicks ass. I have a feeling this new material is going to kick buttocks.

I'm very stoked. We are so damn lucky to still have this band cranking out our traditional British heavy metal we crave so badly... even if it could be the last one it's still mind blowing to realize the Priest is still here for us. Awesome!!!!

My 2 cents on the nomination is they should tell them to go fuck themselves. The RRHOF should be called the Music Hall of Fame as most of the inductees are not rock n roll. Priest has had a big influence on a ton of bands that are already inducted WTF, talk about putting the cart before the horse. The people running the Hall are assholes ! I don't need confirmation from them that Priest has historical significance. Just saying

Headliner was good. All that matters. I had a chance to go but St. Louis was the closest and that long a drive to see a band I had seen a bunch of times in their heyday before they got all "cool" to see and mainstream (BORING, from the Black Album on, IMO) just didn't make me really consider it. Especially, as you mentioned, with Gorija. Megadeth with SCORPIONS (NOT the other way around) would be the better ticket, IMO. Again, not coming close to me.

Good deal, though! Glad to know someone with your good tastes thought they still put on a rockin' show!

Was quite a good show. next time I go to this venue I will spring for better seats, was a bit high up, never been there before. Gojira was sort of Meh, A7x did a good job, not nessesarily my cup of tea. Metallica mixed the set up well, good pyro, good energy. well done


good system for getting to the show also. no parking anywhere in the area, they set up some special bus routes, and have these random parking lots in the middle of nowhere. you hop a bus from there, come out of the show, hop a bus back and no traffic. worked real well.

came back and worked this afternoon. need a nap now

 I really enjoyed Redeemer. I personally think it was a good "going back" to priest's roots after nostradamus...which I personally like even though it's not really what we expect from the guys
As for the new album hopefully it's not taking another 100 years again but from the impression the previous album left, richie has made his way into giving priest a new sound without deviating from what they usually did that much. I just got the new Iced Earth album (which I know has nothing to do with this topic) and seeing how Stu managed to renew this band's energy without trying to be matt barlow in the last two albums actually made me feel more excited about what priest could come up with

Wow! Good for Rob but my BIG "wow" is sticker shock! $120 + at least $11+ shipping? Over $130USD for albums any diehard would HAVE and any casual listener wouldn't want. I actually felt "burned" in the last Priest box-set as I got it for the unreleased material but the box itself was damaged. Exactly the same comment I read again and again from others here and elsewhere. Square box with small bubble-wrap pushed into a wimpy padded envelope + expensive USPS mail = dented corners to the box! Same JUST happened to the Glenn CD. Had them both but went for it as they were autographed. Turned out to be ONE CD case with the slightest amount of bubble-wrap in a small padded envelope. Arrived flat as a pancake. Jewel case in PIECES!!

Well, no diss on the BAND, of course. Glenn and the solo? Heck, $ went to charity? Fine. One Live Media, though?! Glad to read that both the link here and what you posted on FB go to AMAZON! At least they seem to know how to take care of business.

Now were there to be a little more info? Some bonus material? Seems to have Rob's autograph in there but is that for show? Heck, how about BAXTER's autograph!

Yeah, I suppose I'll get a show (they're calling it a tour, so...who knows, maybe they'll tour Canada!). It's just so weird! These two bands are on opposite ends of the "heavy" spectrum!!! On the one hand we have hard/glam-ish rock, and on the other we have thrash metal!! The latter usually has the former for breakfast!! What I'm wondering here is, "Who's gonna open for whom?!?" Scorps are saying that Megadeth are the special guests, so...is Megadeth opening???

Now don't get me wrong. I've been wanting to see both bands for the longest time. But on the same bill??.................................................well, okay. Why not. I'm sure it'll work out somehow.
