My classic heavy metal album of the day is Angel Rat - Voivod ( 1991 ).

I've been listening to these guys a lot lately. This album is mellow for them but I reckon it's pretty cool, really experimental. Canadas best metal band.

Well,I don't think this is a classic "heavy metal" album but it sure as hell is a classic death/thrash metal album, thats for sure.
I got this album in 1990 I think, just before Arise was released in 91' or so but hell yeah this is a great album.

Excellent choice! Especially considering events yesterday. This album is currently being played constantly in our car, it's just a wonderful album.
