Possible Australian Tour

[Conniption] Thursday, September 04, 2008 4:27:37 AM
I hope somebody can suggest to the band that they close the main set with "Steeler". I know i'll love whatever they play, but walking off after that mad riffing would have the crowd raising the roof for an encore! Plus, i just wanna fuckin' hear it!

Roll on Priest! Flying over from New Zealand and cant f*cking wait to see them live! Can you take small digital cameras into the Brisbane venue?? Caught Maiden in Melbourne and they were ok with cameras... Dont wont the hassle of getting to the door and being told to get rid of it!

hi guys, can't wait to finally see and hear Rob in the flesh with the rest of the band, the way it was supposed to be! I had tickets this year for Gods of Metal in Milan but couldn't go, bought tix through Showbiz (at $190.00 each ****in stupid!  should have bought VIP tix - got a bit too excited when my email came from showbiz) for Sydney, just bought tix up the back (bit slow gettting the cash ready) at Melbourne!  (when Ripper came i had front row tix at the enmore- missed that but luckily bought tix at the door in melbourne!) just as long you play and keep playing (whatever you play will be f***in awesome...though rapid fire and hotrockin would make me really happy. thanks for the opportunity to message! If no CC then maybe Heaven & Hell?

You gotta love the technological age! Just created a new playlist to match the "assumed" setlist for the Aussie tour. Hubby has gone out for the evening so I plugged my iPod into the stereo and am headbanging out to JP!!!! Sure makes doing the washing up more difficult I keep dipping my hair in the sink!!!!

Ah well - only 16 days to go until the lads are here and I am off to headbang for real in Perth. Life is great!!!

Got my Tickets a couple of weeks ago for the Perth gig. And I am so happy they moved the concert to Challenge Stadium!!! It sold out so fast and I see tickets are still available for the other shows. C'mon Priest, play twice in Perth I would go both times. I can't wait!! It is gonna be freakin' AWESOME!!!!

Hey guys,

Are any of you from Western Australia and planning on going to the Perth gig? I'm a student journalist writing for the 3rd Degree - http://3degree.ecu.edu.au - and I'm writing an article on Priest's upcoming visit to Perth.  I would really appreciate it if I could get some insight into the gig from a fan's perspective, and it's your chance to get your quotes published...
Please guys, all I need is a few people to tell me what they expect from the gig/ if they have seen them before etc. Even if you're not from Perth it's ok.

Thanks so much, Claire.

FFS.  first of all, the NZ concert is canceled.  good job keeping up on that one.
I saw CC at Monsters of rock the MC was more inflametory than they were.  hell ozzys intro vid was more inflametory.  probably some kind of conflicts between the 2 I supose.

Huh-huh...
Exactly 1 month ago there was a trucker strike in New Zealand.

On July 28th there was a 2 week strike planned for Australia.

So, I think, bullshit aside, that tours are being cancelled because of that. Therefore what was said about logistics being the reason Priest got cancelled in New Zealand may be about right.
By the way, I'm in the USA and news, even on the web, about NZ are hard to come by - updated news, that is.
Thank the scientology gods for the internet.

Just read this on Blabbermouth........

"CAVALERA CONSPIRACY has been deemed an 'inappropriate' band to perform with JUDAS PRIEST on their Priest Feast 2008 tour dates in Australia and New Zealand, and have thusly been forced to cancel their appearance at the previously announced tour dates in the southern Pacific.

"Although CAVALERA CONSPIRACY (featuring Max and Iggor of the legendary SEPULTURA) had several amazing and successful dates with their brothers in PRIEST throughout Eastern Europe, apparently the band has been deemed too inflammatory to open for Priest in Australia and NZ.

"So, with that said, this post is an apology to the fans in the Australia and New Zealand for the cancellations.

"The Cavalera brothers will be back soon (hopefully with a more reasonably priced tour...)!"

Yes I'm pumped too - got my ticket to the Melbourne gig.

Just one thing though. I hope they take into account that we've had bugger-all chance of seeing them before. Therefore the setlist should be a good retrospective of all the eras.

As much as I love Nostradamus I would also dearly like to hear all the classics, from The Ripper to Livin' After Midnight.
