That's the way JD. And although Nostradamus may not have hit as hard as AOR did...the Priest Feast is one of the best tours this band has made, never before have they been so hungry to blow us away with such amazing shows. Plus, as far as Nostradamus album goes...hey at least you can say we got a new bone crunching essential Priest song....Death. Other than that, one of my favourite Priest songs has also come on this record...Visions. I'm sure their next album will be something bone crunching. Nostradamus isn't bad...they gave us something very epic which when listened to from beginning to end...is quite amazing. Now let us see them do a mini Nostradamus tour after the US tour and then back to a true Priest record.

Ok,I will finaley "have some faith".....you've convinced me after all. And people say that posting your opinions don't matter? Ha Ha,they do. I must find it in me to trust Judas Priest to put out a traditional style album for thier next LP.

I will be waiting for the next album hellrider, and yes it makes sense that the band would do something along the lines of a british heavy metal album!

Right on man.  I still don't have any "faith" to keep. Since the year 2000....9 years have passed with 3 albums under thier belt ...the experimental and terrible(in my opinion)"Demolition" from 2001....
.....the killer album of true British Heavy Metal in "Angel Of Retribution" from 2005 .....and the again "experimental" album of Nostradamus from 2008......... There is no telling "what" the band will do next....

Thats "one" album in the last 9 years that is a worthy Judas Priest album in my opinion only,I know we all have different opinions here,I'm just giving mine thats all.So to "me" I have no faith in the band returning to it's "roots" here.
I want a killer album like Retribution, but I don't have any faith in them delivering one.  How can I?

When the song was available here, I didn't want to listen to it, mainly because I wanted to hear the album in its entirety and not just hear a piece of it over and over again before the album was finally in my hands. I still like it...it reminds me of the Painkiller song, in a way.
[Bazookajoe_666] Thursday, April 23, 2009 12:27:54 PM
Hey man Rob said that when (not if), when Priest do a new album it will NOT be like Nostradamus. That was a one time thing and they aren't going to do that again. Keep your faith.

Yes Vaillant 3.0 ....Judas Priest "scares me" anymore.  At thier age right now,and the Nostradamus album....I think that the band will either "retire" after this tour,or simply put out another album as non-metal-as Nostradamus.

If I am wrong,I will log on here and admit it in front of everybody. But I don't think I'm going to be wrong here,I think with Rob's slow stage movement and with Deep Freeze's posts about how he just does'nt seem to be "into it" anymore...makes me think that the band should just retire after this British Steel set list-tour.

In my opinion,Nostradamus should of been the time when the band should of pulled everything together and tried to create the best Judas Priest album they could possibly create, like they did with Angel Of Retribution which may not be Priest's best album, but they sure as hell came close...to me its the band's 5th best album. But I just don't see them "returning to thier roots". Thats just my opinion. Call me a pessimist, and I "am" but I  "may" be right here folks.

Nostradamus isn't a bad album, but when I want to listen to heavy metal, it doesn't phase me. Nostradamus however, really phases me when I want to listen to something epic and long like a story. What that mindset, it is mindblowing. I think it would be good to hear all live if they drop as much synth as possible and replace it with crunching metal guitars.

Hey, J.D. Just a bit curious. What really brought you to this conclusion? Are you afraid JP will follow the same road as Metallica? Have there been other bands that also "experimented" and gone astray from the world of Heavy Metal? Is that why you're being distrustful of this band and its ability to return to its metal roots? Enlighten me, because I'm still learning about this genre.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Tuesday, April 21, 2009 5:51:31 PM)

Now that is one Chilling awesome Moment! I loved the Metal Masters tour! But, you know I cant remember every song they played. After three hours of music it was gettin late and I was a little intoxicated! LOL Shame on me. Had a great time though! Met some fun people. I just wish festival seating was still the norm, because I would have been on the rails all night bangin' my head! Miss that!

Ok now I feel upset by some of these comments. Nostradamus was most certainly a heavy metal album. It has a progressive edge to it, it's not like they went into something Dream Theater usually does. (Though their music is great too.) Honestly I am a very flexible metal fan who loves so many different genres in metal it's not even funny! Priest will always be heavy metal, and no one should lose faith in a band just because of one album IMHO.

With all due respect, and honestly I'm not slahing at you or insulting you in anyway, J.D.

How can you even say that? Did you say the same thing after TURBO?

I have NO FAITH in JUdas Priest anymore. Not after Nostradamus.  I still like Priest but I am tired of thier experimental albums. Saxon to me is the kings of british heavy metal with thier consistancy. Hail SAXON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
