Been gettin into Thin Lizzy lately. These guys pull off some amazing dual guitar harmonies and solos. They put a lot of bands these days to shame ...ha!

Just find this from a folk band pretty weird and the lyrics totally suck to say the least,this band is signed to a label and has albums ect...yeah just bizzare....

That is a really odd song. Why would a folk singer make a Heavy Metal reference, but then again why would a folk singer talk about burying a victim? Creepy guy.

It shocks me this thread doesn't do better. It's such an awesome idea for one.
@Jimmy
This thread turned me on to SAHG. I would love to see those guys tour. They are one
of the best bands that I've heard recently. Great musicians, great vocals, (overall) great band.
@everyone else.
Check these guys out, they're badass.

Check out these guys everyone. One of New Zealands top metal bands, BEASTWARS.

I just tried again.
Right click does nothing and left click pops up a block that asks if I want to save file.
I give up.

RIGHT click on the *.mp3 file, Bud. On a PC it'll open with a dialog letting you choose "play using.." (Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Saturday, July 02, 2011 6:50:35 PM)

Not sure what the story is there but if you click on this link and then click on where it says "27 metal meltdown69.mp3" it should just start playing the show. It might take a few seconds if your computer is slow but it should work.
The first time I checked out your radio show I had to download it to listen.
Then I read where others had to also and you wrote that they didn't. Anyway, I
went back when you put the Red Fang up and I couldn't figure out how to play
it so I ran the file. The first time I did that it saved to my computer so I thought it
did this time also. It didn't or I can't find it. I don't have it and was too embarassed
to ask you how to listen to your show without downloading it. So, I never heard it.
I'll video a song from Machine Head. I have pit passes so the footage should be awesome
but the closer to the stage you are the worse the sound is so it may not be worth watching.
That new song is pretty good. At first I thought it was a little long but it freakin' jams. Keep
this thread alive man. I think it's a great idea. When I was young you didn't have anything like
this to turn you on to things you haven't heard. It was radio, word of mouth, and magazine, so
I'm sure all us us were missing shit back in the day. This would have been so cool. Young

The first two albums Burn My Eyes and The MoreThings Change are awesome, then they released two albums that are pure shit, The Burning Red and Supercharger. Since then they've come back into form with two albums you should definately check out, Through The Ashes Of Empires (really good) and The Blackening (the best metal album of 07 by a long stretch). This new one, if the first track here is anything to go by, could be the best album of 2011. Can't wait to hear the whole thing.
That festival looks awesome. I'd be there for Megadeth, Machinehead, Kingdom Of Sorrow and Red Fang (what did you think of their new song by the way?). Saw Disturbed and Trivium earlier this year, Disturbed were average, Trivium were shit. Got no interest in Godsmack or any of the others really but that festival will be real cool. Maybe you could post some footage of Machinehead in action?

This album, Premonition 13, is coming out at the end of July. Sounds amazing.
If anyone's ever been into Exodus at any point in their 30 year history I would highly recommend checking out their most recent album Exhibit B - The Human Condition (2010). Their best album in my opinion. Some of these old school thrash bands are really coming up with some great stuff.

Here's an advance track from the new Machinehead album due out in September. If the whole album is like this it could well be album of the year. Machineheads last two albums have both been awesome and judging by this song this new album is going to be great as well.
