I went to the Rochester show on wednesday the 16th and I was fucking amazed!! Rob sounded as if it were the Painkiller tour! He was dead on.... [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Friday, November 18, 2011 7:49:41 AM)

Rob knew that he was on - I loved that look he gave the crowd after some of his screams as if to say to everyone "Yeah - what did you think of that?!" He is moving around the stage so much more than in the past and giving it everything that he has, for almost 2 1/2 hours each night! If I were fighting with you, you would KNOW it. I just don't agree with your review of the exact same show that I was at. You want Priest to hang it up and you said that they should have done so after the British Steel tour. Well, I don't agree with that either - I am so incredibly thankful that I was able to see them 3 more times and hear Rob sing some of my favorite Priest tracks that I had never heard done live before. Richie does make them sound different, there is no getting around that. I can totally see where fans would be upset by that, it's a hard pill to swallow.

I dunno, man. Rob sounded great in that one, sound effects and all. Great sound!
You don't have that all right. I actually was joking about the what planet where you on saying. I supposed you've never used that it jest have you? I forget you often don't get my humor. The pseudo fans was about the guys that wanted to stand on the floor drink their beer and not move and inch and expect everyone around them to behave the same, that little story was the reason for that post. Saying Fuckin off the Hook is not wrong, they were to me.
The overall tone of your posts were not exactly something I would agree with at all, but I didn't go out of my way to fight with you. If I did you'd know it.
I did bear witness to what I thought of the shows.

Man, I have to chime in here as well. Like HRMG, I am not angry in the least but I do have to agree that Hammond was one of the greatest shows I have seen Priest play in several tours. Rob was so "on" that night that it made me wonder if he could even come close in Detroit. Damned if he didn't do it!
Hammond left me speechless (and voiceless). Despite the sold-out crowd there you could clearly hear Rob without a microphone and an entire crowd chiming in for BTL. It was nothing short of amazing. Detroit the following night? I was 13th row floor, center and was floored when he did it a second time. I even found Glenn to be more into it as he was jumping around more than the previous night.
Can't comment on Ohio but I stand by my comments about Hammond and Detroit 100%. Listened to some of my videos last night but damned if Rob didn't blow out the top-end of the mic! Could it have been them boosting the audio volume? Not when you can jump up and almost touch the Metal God's boot! Didn't have a thing to do with it. The man (and BAND) was simply out of this world.
Not to say that your opinion is wrong but I was and am still in awe of the shows I attended.
Man, some people sure do get angry when your opinion differs from them. If you guys think Priest
was that great then so be it. I said they were good, just not great. Everytime , minus the two described,
Priest has been amazing live. Right now I don't think that they were that amazing. I said Rob sounded good,
just not up to par with past performances. This is why I said they are picking the right time to go out. They can
still do it, just not as well. I also like the Priest "sound" and as good as Ritchie is, and I said he's fantastic, he
changes their sound. I didn't say he ruined it, just changes it, and I said that's a little tough for (me). I was on
the side with a perfect view and I was watching Rob intently. I don't think he was that great. I hated the way
they amplified his highs to improve them and I can't believe none of you noticed that. I'm used to negativity here
so I'm sure I'll get more. Sorry for giving my opinion. I guess if it's not candy coated you guys don't want to hear it.
I know what I've seen in the past and last night was not as good as that. Being my least favorite Priest doesn't
mean it sucked, it just means their best is behind them. Agree or not that's how I see it. I'll post more videos if
you guys want to see them. Peace!

maybe the highs arent perfect, so what. I thought it was a great show, certainly better than the nost tour, or the reunion tour. the painkiller tour was a long time ago, hard to remember and I was on the floor with beter sound, at my first ever concert. I didnt think rob was perfect, any of the 4 can miss a note here and there, but heck the intro to turbo is buggered up in the priest live album. missed notes, either vocal or thru a stringed instrument happen. musical perfection is not what creates a great show, and they created a great show. thats my take on it.

I'm not getting angry Budred, you are entitled to your opinion but don't expect me to agree with it and keep quiet and let everyone believe that Rob didn't sound that great in Cleveland when I feel that he was AWESOME! I'm not sugar coating anything and I don't suck up to people and say things that are untrue. I was very close to the stage for all 3 shows, (3rd row Hammond where the stage was within reaching distance of the rail, front row center in Detroit and 2nd row center in Cleveland) and let me tell you, I could hear Rob singing WITHOUT the mic! He sang directly in front of me many times. His voice is so strong, that I could hear him singing Breakin' The Law! I remember an interview once of one of his bandmates that said that they were at sound check and Rob's mic wasn't working but Rob sang anyway and they could still HEAR him over the music. I really didn't think that was possible until this weekend because I heard it FOR MYSELF! He left the mic turned to the audience and paced the stage and I could still hear him singing. I talked to many people after each show and every single one of them was blown away by Rob's voice and said it was the best they had heard in YEARS. So you have your opinion and I have mine. I don't expect perfection, so if he blows a note - it's no big deal to me.

Wicked photo Guids!
Reading all these reviews and cool experiences makes me even more desperate to see Priest in concert at least once.
Oh, you KNOW they did. Not that I've had much of a chance to review them but, hell, out of several hundred the odds are in our favor! LOL!!!
Hang on....one teaser.
There! Lots of blurry but lots of sharp to match!

Even gave one guy a shot of Rob signing his stuff right after the show. Still, while the vid on the cellphone looks great, it can't hold a candle to a decent point-and-shoot.
Best shot was OF the guy in question! Hope you enjoyed this, nameless stranger! (check our Rob's flower! Almost as good as the fact that four of the six guys waiting all had on Detroit Tigers hats! Yeah, boy!)

Oh, you KNOW they did. Not that I've had much of a chance to review them but, hell, out of several hundred the odds are in our favor! LOL!!!
Hang on....one teaser.
Armistice day Week my friend! A must for anyone British and even Scott wore one.
Please tell me my close ups of Richie and Rob turned out in Hammond! Please!

I am reviewing the pieces of video as I type and I am glad to say that the only person around me who wasn't going absolutely crazy in Detroit was some poor woman who was a bit "under the weather!" LOL! She sat with her head down on her lap through BLS and Priest. Good for us! I made my brother switch to the seat behind her for better filming! We just had to say "sorry" to all the people behind us as the camera was blocking their view. Hey, we promised them free copies!
Yeah, boy!)

I would have fell on my knees to worship had the DT people not crammed the seats so tight that my knees hit the seats in front of me while seated and the back of my knees took a beating when I stood. My knees were spent. lol They could have eased up a bit on the spacing. I had to stand on my seat to let anyone pass.
I did do alot of "all hail" arm bowing.

"Laughing at him?!?" In MY packed section in Detroit there were people practically falling to their knees to praise the Metal Gods! It was universal! Rob was simply outstanding in both shows. Hands down and I have a ton of vid to prove it! Vocals were just spot-on!
Now if I could only get all my data organized...

The long time Priest fans around us in Cleveland/Detroit/Hammond were all in complete awe of Rob as well. No one was laughing at him around me. There was only praise and a lot of holy shit's that was AWESOME, the best I've heard him since the '80s, etc. I also didn't know if Rob could perform that well in Detroit after absolutely KILLING IT in Hammond the night before, but holy hell, he NAILED IT AGAIN!! The entire band KILLED IT both nights! In Cleveland, Glenn wasn't jumping around quite as much, but he was still giving an incredible performance. Ian was strong as always, Scott blew me away as he always does and Richie really did a fantastic job. And if you decided to not go see them, well, I THANK YOU because I was able to get closer seats! HA!
Personally, I think they are playing a certain song on this tour that sums up some fans: NEVER SATISFIED!
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!

My two cents here is that Priest absolutely SLAYED in Chicago. The energy to the sold-out crowd was fantastic and Rob was pitch-on fucking perfect!!! It was on par with the greatest concerts I have ever seen in my life. Here I thought "no way they could do it the following night in Detroit" but, again, BALLS OUT fantastic yet again!
Now, I know it isn't just me as I had one of the most judgemental of people at my side: my brother. That is why I named him the "official photographer / videographer" of the show. Hell, he was the first to admit that he had never seen such a thing. A live band who brings down the house with extremely demanding shows two nights in a row. He even had a hard time holding the camera steady as he, too, was caught up in the emotion of Rob and the boys tearing it up again in Detroit.
Final point is what others have said here before: anyone who chose to sit out on this concert had no idea what they were missing. Fucking AWESOME!!!!
