Hey J.D.

Cool collection of LPs there (I can just imagine it there...) I have got the whole collection of originals save for Turbo (which, I'm sorry to say, especially to you: I will get ehehehe)

Where do yu think would be best to go and hunt for them? I've tried ebay but since finances are tight at the moment I'll have a good few months of music shopping rest to think about it. If you happen to come by any LPs in stores there at a good price and from the first pressings give me a call, it's after those that I am after.

And guys, are there any copies of the original Sad Wings of Destiny LPs? I've seen some pic LPs but I'm not a huge fan of those...

Hey Hellrider,I still have the "Killing Machine" LP!  I found it in a second hand record store back in around 94' in very good condition for only about $10 bucks!!
I also have a very great condition "Screaming For Vengeance"  LP that my neighbor had Rob Halford sign when he worked at  KISW radio station back in 1982 when Rob passed through before the concert and he gave it to me!!!

And a Sad Wings Of Destiny picture disk,Screaming For Vengeance picture disk as well,I have the UK album cover of Point Of Entry on LP,a Japan bootleg of Defenders Of The Faith LP,Stained Class LP....

I think I have a couple more Hellrider but for the most part..I've replaced all of them on CDs!!!!

How about you my friend? Have you got any LPs left from back in the day?

Point Of Entry was the first album I heard from Judas Priest and it was in 1981 when I was 11 years old after seeing "Heading Out To The Highway" on MTV...I got my mother to take me to Budget Tapes & Records to buy this LP!

Anybody want to hear the story about when I first heard the "Turbo album"?  LOFL!!!  Just kidding guys...don't lynch me!!! lol!! I'll spare ya!!! LOL!!
[TheElectricEyedRouge] Saturday, May 02, 2009 7:03:42 PM
I can't remember what the first Priest album I listened to (my parents listened to Priesta and metal  before I was even born... ) but the first one I remember I heard was Painkiller when I was looking in my dad's CD rack and then I see the Metal Monster and Painkiller and I'm like, "This looks damn familiar... didn't my dad have a shirt with that??" then I sneak it out of his rack and listen to the whole album and I'm all like,  in love with Rob's voice.

That is very inspirational, GM. And, welcome to the Board! Always good to have someone near my age join our group!! I have a 28 year old daughter and she has her own family but she never showed interest in Metal. My oldest grandson likes some Priest! There is still hope!!! HAHAHAHAAA!!!!!!

Visiting a friend who got my brother and I into KISS. We had every giant poster there was. Our friend put on British Steel album.......and we went home and took down every KISS poster we had. This was 1980. My brother reluctantly took me to my first concert in '81 for Point of Entry with Maiden opening. Saw them everytime they came around since. Now I'm 41 and my twelve year old has already seen them TWICE with me.....Priest Forever
[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Tuesday, April 28, 2009 11:40:44 AM
The first Priest album I ever heard was Screaming for Vengeance. My brother brought it home and I took one look at that cover and thought, holy shit here we go. I grabbed my Walkman but he had the album cued up and playing before I could rewind my tape. I froze when I heard the first notes of The Hellion. And then when the second guitar came in and played harmony to the first, it took my breath away. Of course then Rob's voice came out of those speakers and I was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY!! A Priest fan was born ! I'd finally found what I was looking for in music - passion, heart, soul, harmony, melody, attitude and incredible talent all rolled up into one!

The first priest albun I ever heard was by accident. It was at my friends house in 1978 and I saw this album cover and asked what it was, it was sad wings of destiny... The rest is history!

I was locked up back in 79'. I got a flyer from Columbia House to buy 10 tapes for a penny. Unleashed in the East was in the mix and looked interesting. When it came, I checked it out and was friggin mesmerised! I think I listened to that tape till it frayed! Victim of Changes hooked me so bad, I had a friend go and get me everything she could find from this new wonder. I have now been a dedicated Priest fan for damn near 30 years and I still love em to death! I recently scored a remastered copy of Stained Class. The bonus tracks had one I had not heard called The Fire Burns Below. WOW! If you havent heard this tune, do whatever it takes to get a copy of this disc. You wont be sorry!
[Mikatin] Monday, December 15, 2008 12:28:37 PM
