We just came back from the Hammond and Detroit shows. What an incredible weekend!!!

HAMMOND Review:
It was an absolute honor to meet up with so many members of this board and rock out with all of you!! I finally had the opportunity to meet Spa - you are one ROCKIN' lady ! Spa, her daughter, Bev, Ron and Mark and I all met up Friday night for dinner and later some drinks and GREAT stories. The day of the show, Mark, Guido and I did the BLS meet and greet. The BLS guys are really great guys. Mark was on the side of the stage during BLS and got Zakk's vest after the set. We then met up with Doll, Mara, Healer, Jeanine and Rocked the house!

Thin Lizzy was great! They played a great set. Then BLS came on and rocked the stage. I really like BLS and it was great to watch my hubby on the side of the stage having the time of his life! The vocals at The Venue were perfect. You could hear Zakk really well. The Venue was sold out (3000 capacity) and no one was really being an ass and if they were, the crowd quickly took care of them.

PRIEST: All I have to say is, if you decided not to go to see the farewell tour, you are really missing out!!! This is the best I've heard Rob sing since the 1990 Painkiller tour! He was absolutely INCREDIBLE. The vocals were PERFECT. And yes, Rob can still hit those notes - he hit every one of them and Spa and I just looked at each other in awe several times.

DETROIT Review:

We took both of our sons (ages 9 and 12) to the show and had front row center seats. We wanted them to have the chance to see one of the greatest metal shows of their lives and Priest did not disappoint! We had a JP banner that we made hanging on the rail in front of us and Glenn and Ian were looking at it all night long. Our little metal heads were singing along, banging their heads and throwing horns and Richie, Glenn and Ian absolutely loved it. One of my favorite moments was during the acoustic part of Diamonds and Rust when Richie looked over at me and we were singing the song together and he smiled. I love KK and I miss him dearly. But if he had to be replaced, Richie is the man! He really is incredible. His energy is infectious and he just lights up the stage with his smile. You can tell how much he loves what he is doing. Rob was on fire in Detroit as well. I wasn't sure if he would be able to sing as well as he did in Hammond the night before, but he did!!! Holy shit - absolutely incredible vocals. The vocal mike wasn't as loud where we were standing as it was in Hammond, but WOW!!! The highlight for me was Beyond The Realms Of Death, one of my all time favorite Priest songs, and Rob sang it so beautifully that it brought me to tears. VOC, Blood Red Skies and Painkiller were incredible as well and also highlights in the show. Glenn was jumping up and down many times and moving around the stage getting everyone into it. He was very happy to see so many people singing along to the songs. Scott killed it as well and our sons loved watching him twirl his sticks and then throw them up in the air. The lights, fog, fire and laser show were amazing and something we will never forget. At the end, Scott came over and threw both both our sons a drumstick. Our oldest caught his and our youngest missed and it hit him in the head. Scott was very concerned and asked if he was OK. When he got the drumstick, he grinned from ear to ear and I gave Scott a thumbs up and said he was fine. Scott smiled and gave us a thumbs up back. Rob showered us with Metal God picks which was really cool!! Then Glenn came down and handed each of us a pick. When he handed me mine, I pulled him to me, gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek and thanked him. Ian tossed us picks and so did Richie! Someone offered our sons $300 for one of the drumsticks and they both looked at the man like he was crazy and told him NO WAY!! We raised our little metal heads right Both our sons said that this was THE BEST show they will ever see and that this was even better than meeting Drowning Pool and going on their tour bus! Before they left the stage, I threw Glenn the Detroit Red Wings flag that we brought to commemorate their show in Hockeytown at Joe Louis Arena, the home of the Red Wings! He took it and smiled.

See you in Cleveland tomorrow for our last show of the tour!!

I was wondering the same thing.
I bought a shirt at Rock on the Range(all bands on back) for 25 bucks. I bought a Megadeth shirt at Mayhem for the same.
My wife bought an Avenged Sevenfold shirt at Uproar for 25 bucks and I got a MRH shirt in Pittsburgh for 20 bucks. They were
25 in Cleveland but that's their hometown and it was a bigger show.
I'm not  a cheap ass but 35 bucks for a concert tee is a little high.

either way let me know what they cost.  I havent seen many big names at less than 35 bucks, but I wonder if its country or area specific pricing.

35 bucks, jeez. I may pass. The last few concerts that I went to shirts were 25. MRH was 20.
The last Priest shirt I bought was 30 and I told myself I would never go higher.

Hi cabochon1. Judas Priest mentioned in the Eddie Trunk interview posted on Nov 4 that they will be doing a second leg of the North American tour next year. They said they're hoping to hit the places they've missed this time around and also a few places they haven't been to in a while. Hope that helps!

I am soooo late to this party guys!  I'm sure it's already been discussed but I'll ask anyway... will JP be adding anymore American tour dates or has Virginia, DC and Maryland just been skipped? Thank you for any info. you can offer!

Besides, what happened to Davey Crockett was that he died at the hands of the Mexican army, attempting to defend the indefensible - Texas.

I will almost always take the odd road, in what I write, just for the reaction. Violence really isn`t my thing, unless I`m defending my own , Otherwise, bark is much worse than the bite.
Don`t care about Rangers, never been much of a fan, just like to watch good baseball.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by . from Thursday, November 03, 2011 2:14:23 AM)

No, I didn't read what you said to Lady Vail. But I do know that when you write things such as you did, that you leave yourself open to more than your horse running loose. Go figure, being cryptical.

Go Rangers!
No wait, I meant Go, St Louis!!!

Oh wait, who won?

Well, in that case my apologies. Sorry I didn't read all that stuff you wrote after the first sentence, I know you spent quite some time writing all that stuff but don't want to be bothered or upset over nothing. I make an ass of myself on occasion but it's out of passion for Judas Priest.

Perpetual Period [.]

You are making an ass of yourself on this thread.  Anyone who had read my posts here can see that I mentioned how great the drummers for Thin Lizzy and BLS sounded.  Too bad you can't read past a 3rd grade level.

I never said BLS was better, I just they were louder which I've never seen before, EVER.  I've never seen an opening act have more sound than the headliner.

All 3 drummers are really good drummers, just too bad you couldnt hear Scott worth shit.  The toms sounded really good, the snare, the bass drums, the hi-hats and crash cymbals sounded like ass.  The drums for Thin Lizzy and BLS sounded clear and were booming.  I dont understand how it could have been so bad at the Dallas show.

You are pathetic having to make shit up that I said instead of just sticking to what I wrote.  The only dickhead here on this thread is YOU, you stupid fuck.

This thread is for concert reviews, I'm glad to see others posting good news about the shows they went to.

I called the Dallas show they way I saw it.  I know it makes your pussy hurt, but that's how I saw it.  Deal with it and go fuck yourself.

I stand by everything I said.
[guitardude] Wednesday, October 26, 2011 5:29:12 PM
Yea, and look what happen to Crockett!
I have one question of you [.]... never ridden a horse have you? And when the barn door is open the horse is out, get it?
Don`t assume you know what I meant, misleading, yes, but I got the exact reaction from you I expected.                    Didn`t you see my response to Lady Vail?   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by . from Tuesday, October 25, 2011 1:07:43 AM)

Who here thinks they should play

Dreamer Deceiver.

[.] Tuesday, October 25, 2011 3:49:12 PM
The reviews were negative because who wrote them are absolute dickheads. The show in Dallas was, as you know, at the Allen Center - way the hell away from Fort Worth, where the majority of people who would attend, live (suffer the Bad English). The drive between the two towns is at least an hour. So if there were people who left early, they had their reasons, but I don't think it was because Priest were bad. Some people were there to see Thin Lizzy or BLS and they had to go home because they live far off west.

Had the tour promoter, or whoever the hell it is that decides where Priest is going to play, chosen Fort Worth instead of reggae town, hip-hop loving Dallas, the attendance would have been greater.
Unfortunately there are people who think that they know what Priest is thinking when they play.

I don't think anybody should fear that Priest will give them a bad show and not certainly because some bloated old goat who claims drumming skills ( but totally ignores the drummers of the three bands he was there to watch play ) decided to put vowels and consonants together and shit on everybody's good time whether past or future.

[Healer] Tuesday, October 25, 2011 10:13:08 AM

So after seeing some negative posts about the show I was a little nervous about the Vegas show.  But I have to say I was not disappointed at all! The show was awesome and Rob's voice sounds great! I definitely miss KK and always will but Richie did a great job and the effects were incredibible!  Show is well worth seeing in my oppinion. 2 more to go!

[.] Tuesday, October 25, 2011 1:15:13 AM
Yet, if Judas Priest were playing to you and they looked bored, then well, it's your fault because they haven't been bored anywhere else.
Besides you saying that Black Label Society were better because they were louder....now that just says you are a deaf drummer on top of being a bad one. Any comments about the drummer in Thin Lizzy right now?
Mmmm....nope.

You're in Dallas? Good god, what a shithole of a place. Mexico has far better barbecue than Texas ever will.

We are seeing them in Hammond (Chicago), Detroit and Cleveland. I'll be sure to post reviews and hopefully LOTS of great pictures (front row for Detroit and 2nd row for Cleveland ). I'm hoping to get a shot of Rob with the riding crop between his teeth as he rides out on the Harley!! I read your review and it breaks my heart, but I'm not completely surprised by it either. KK left for a reason and that reason is still there. Priest has been my favorite band since I was 12 years old and we are meeting up with a lot of friends at each show to give Priest the send off that they deserve, just as you did at your show.

Perpetual Period,

Don't get perturbed?  You insulted my home you fuck, what the hell am I supposed to do?  You insult my home (which I take as a personal insult) and you're telling us to fuck off?

I called it like I saw it, I stand by my review.  I said, overall I had a good time because of the company I was with, because I like being around 6,000 rockers and the atmosphere of a rock show.

The Judas Priest portion of the show, well, I've already said what I wanted to say.  If that makes your vagina swell up that's your problem.

I noticed you know a lot about meth, I hope you still have all your teeth.

I live in Dallas, not on the border.  Where are you from?  Arkansas?

There, there don't get so perturbed. I don't know where Texas Bitch is at. Perhaps it's a city alongside the border with Mexico. But you need to calm down, go to your neighbor, buy some meth - or just go to your own barn and pick the one you make - relax.

BTW, you need to improve on your own product, it's making you irrational.
