Where have you been? Where are you going? Where would you like to go?

[Wildheart] Tuesday, March 10, 2009 6:25:17 PM

Me and hubby are thinking of going to the Azores again next vacation. We went there for our honeymoon in 2004, it was like paradise!

So far I´ve been to Greece, Bulgaria, and Spain at least twice in each country.

Someday I hope to visit most countries in South America, that would be really interesting. Wouldn´t mind travel to most countries in the world for that matter, I love seeing new places.

Ah, sure it does. Skiing with the old man! Such a beautiful time in Steamboat last year that we are doing it again. Salt Lake City, Utah this time around.

Of course, as many recall, had to buy new goggles after the last trip. Thank YOU Calvin!!! Used only ONCE. Hairy #$%#$%!! (oh wait...I guess I CAN properly say Son of a BITCH here! HAAAA!!)

Not too sure how "Metal" it will be but we are planning our annual trip to Oceanside, Ca in a couple months! Ah yes! A nice book and the ocean! Doesn't get better than that my friends!!

Considering there hasn't been much travel or vacation time lately, maybe we can share some of the most 'metal' places we've been to or the farthest traveled to see a concert...

...I will say the year I spent in Japan really opened my eyes to how big a fan base there is there...most of the clubs and bars I went to had 'live' metal acts or 'video' jukeboxes stock full of metal...never had to worry about the language barrier as metal has it's own language and it's universal...St. Louis is also a pretty rock'n place to visit as well, I must add...

Well, I might as well say where I had been so far... All over Slovenia (like that took a long time...lol), Croatia, Austria, Germany (in Munich once - probably the most beautifull city Ive been to), Italy, and I set foot in Bosnia and Hungary.

The coast of Croatia was my favourite, tho. From islands, to architecture... Very beautifull.

I've been to Mexico several times, usually to Baja California or anywhere in the states of Guerrero or Jalisco (went on a roadtrip once with family from L.A. to Guadalajara and back...it wasn't too bad). Back in the States I've gone to AZ to see the Grand Canyon. In a nutshell: it is spectacular!! I wish I have some pics with me (they're all back in SoCal). I've been to Florida...and New York City as well for a class trip.  I would love to go to Europe one day, especially to Germany, or Austria. That would be cool...

Well, who said that George isnt the fault of Texas?

In any case... I was kidding. Austria is a beautifull country, and I know a couple of places there that make the best damn wiener schnitzels in the world.

Yup. Austria is really beautifull. A bit cold for my taste, but still beautifull. The only drawback is that Ahnuld the Guvernator is from there.

I'VE NEVER BEEN TO SOUTH AMERICA. CANCUN IS AS CLOSE AS I'VE BEEN.

BUT, I WAS IN SWITZERLAND QUITE OFTEN WHILE IN COLLEGE IN AUSTRIA. AND I THOUGHT IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE IN THE WORLD. UNTIL I WENT TO WESTERN CANADA.

MOST OF MY TRAVELING WAS IN MY YOUNGER DAYS WHEN I WAS IN COLLEGE AND EARLIER. I TRAVELED TO MANY PARTS OF THE US PLAYING BASEBALL IN TOURNEMENTS.

I WENT TO COLLEGE AS AN EXCHANGE STUDENT IN AUSTRIA AND VISITED ABOUT 15 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. FLORENCE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CITIES ALSO. GERMANY WAS GREAT. LONDON AT THE TIME WAS A HEAVY METAL WONDERLAND.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE IN THE WORLD IN MY OPINION WAS WESTERN CANADA. THE AREA BETWEEN VANCOUVER, CALGARY AND EDMONTON. WOW! BANFF WAS THE CITY WE HAD OUR CONFERENCE AND IT WAS HEAVEN ON EARTH.

You know, the Princess and I used to travel two or three times a year prior to my accident. Never really been outside the US, (other than Canada and Mexico). Nothing like our guido!! HA!!!!!!!!!! I have been to many parts of the US.  Washington,Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Puerto Rico..HA! I am sure I have missed something! We still have our place in So. Cal on the beach that we go to every summer. The states are beautiful and there is so much to see. It has not really occured to us to leave them for vacation, although we did consider a trip to South America once.

There are so many wonderful places n this country. I miss traveling. It was one of our greatest joys. The trip we took to NY last year to do the album is still fresh in my mind and that was our second trip there!! Beautiful place. We love it. Perhaps, someday, I will be able to travel again like we used to and we can see the things we have missed!
