Some cool old military vehicles.
The parade heading to the memorial where a short service was held. Craig is wearing the wide brim hat lol. My grandad is also there, the guy in the blue suit coat in the middle of the pic.

Well, you live in a Metropolis compared to my little sleepy town. lol But I work in the town over only 9 miles away and it's around that size. Hard to believe at one time that town was over 80,000 people. Here's some sample from Wiki combining the two Bluefields over state lines to a thing called a micropolitan???
The population was 11,451 at the 2000 census. It is also the core city of the Bluefield WV-VA micropolitan area which has a population of 107,578. The micropolitan area is the 350th largest statistical population area and the thirty-third largest micropolitan area in the United States.
HA!!! that Wiki quote makes it sound impressive! It's wholely unimpressive, I assure you. LOL [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Becks from Tuesday, April 27, 2010 7:35:49 PM) | | Becks wrote: | | The wedpage you gave the link to is cool MetalPixie! Cheers for sharing!
Spa - yep it's a small town, including the district way less than 10,000 people. Craigs hometown is even smaller lol! | | spapad wrote: | | Nice link Pixie! Good to finally "meet" you. Good luck with your new project this summer, but it looks like you will stay busy right up to the end of it.
Becks, cool parade shots. Your husband all dudded up in uniform and YOUR parade attire was very nice as well! It appears from the shots of down town you live in a somewhat small town as well, or maybe it just looks like it. | | MetalPixie wrote: | | Thanks, Deep Freeze!
Yeah - sad, but okay. The new project is just ramping up and I really am excited about it.
I PROMISE to update you when THAT band's web stuff is up and running.
Wanted to do this since I was 10 ... what a way to have a midlife crisis, huh? LOL
The military pics are AWESOME!!
How cool to have so much history in your family and be able to participate in it!
Thank YOU for sharing!! |

Pix!! I absolutely LOVE the page! GREAT pics and all! Why have you not shared this sooner?? I think its awesome. I am SO sorry to hear that you are disbanding! That is just heartbreaking. You guys are playing like mad! I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to be working so hard and playing so often and knowing that it will be ending in a couple months. That is just terrible!!! I have just been informed that the band will be no more after a July 2010 show ... "artistic differences"...
but, this should be good for a few laughs and much-appreciated feedback from my fellow Priest fans.
Pics galore ... and a 2-3 minute promo video shot the night before Thanksgiving.

Luckily, I have a second project in the works which will be heavier than this one.
(Oh how I long for the day when I can do a Priest song other than "Living After Midnight" and "Another Thing Comin'"...)
Long live the Mighty Priest!!!!! |

Becks, stunning photos. Thank you so much for sharing. I particularly liked the photo of Craig and your grandparents. Your gramps must have been so proud of you for marrying a military man. And thanks to Craig and gramps for doing what they do. Lord knows it is not easy work. They must be totally driven by passion for their country.
