A second or even external harddrive. Both are quite cheap. If you can get a second harddrive you hook them up in master / slave configuration and copy everything over. If you can boot to your OS (obviously) get a cheap external USB or firewire drive and do the same. Copy everything (or just the essential stuff).
Half a second with an internet search can tell you how to do both. PM me if you need further tech help.

Sorry to hear that Necro. Can you copy all the files you want to keep to CDs and then crash the system and let it start up from it's protected Boot drive?
As you reinstall your files you can scan them for problems and isolate the ones that have the "virus". Worth a shot!

thanks su...I'll do whatever it takes...the problem is that they are using their website to take our information...three years ago it was by a printed paper they sold...but now it changed...and now that the system couldn't find my info I'm not allowed to do the following procedures to take the courses I need for this year...since they say I don't have a scholarship and I didn't even pay tuition I'm not being accepted there...tomorrow I'll go to the office and to the school to see what can I do...

The kickstand for said crotch rocket plus a WHOLE bunch of metal stuff (he was at Mom's sponging off her + cleaning house). It is not just about having kids, or "loving" kids. I truly believe there is a case for abuse here, as this person cannot support what she has and yet is burdening her parents, AND YOU, with her offspring! Then there is the matter of the "doctors" that allowed this to happen. The list goes on and on and, the more I type, the angrier I get.
I have been a very fortunate man. I had a good education. A great career and great insurance when the worst happened to me. Yet, I have had to fight , tooth and nail, to get the support I have earned and I did not do it by exploiting babies. And make NO mistake! As far as this woman and her actions, it is pure exploitation for personal gain. For FACK sake, they are even comparing her to Angelina Jolee!!!(sp?) WHAT!!?!??!?!??!?!?! Whatever.
All the do-gooders and liberal bleeding hearts deserve this walking, talking human fecal matter. She is a troll and a social leech. If there is any justice in this world, those kids will be removed and given to homes where they are properly supported and not used as money makers. As for the woman, jail is not even good enough. I say bring back crucifixion.... THAT'S RIGHT! I SAID IT!

I think I was listening to Howard Stern's radio show on Sirius/XM sometime ago when this first broke and he thinks the octo"mom" has some sort of mental condition. My roommate and I both are of the same mind on this. She is an irresponsible, derranged woman, who like Freeze said, is totally abusing the social programs in place for people who are in these situations - mainly through no fault of their own. I know some people like this myself, and it makes me ill to my stomach to see them get ANY SORT OF PUBLICITY!!! That pisses me off more than anything.

She has actually hired (with WHAT money, I do not know) a PR firm to "tell her side" and solicit donations!! She has a website and they claim donations are "pouring" in!! Dont feel bad Bev. When I was a kid they did allergy tests on me and found me to be allergic to my own hair back then. I got a buzz cut from hell. Everywhere I went with my dad, since he is a barber and knows everyone, People would say, "That's a nice looking son ya got there Teddy!" You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!!!!!! COMCAST!!!!! I HATE THEM!
If I were to post a picture of what I think they do to people, it would be banned!!!! LOL
Today, I went and stood in line at the Comcast office for over a half hour and the guy right in front of me
turned in a digital cable box which had stopped recording (which I know the feeling of) and the girl
told him she couldn't get him a new box because they were all out. He lost his good humor at this point and
was getting very aggitated, so I told him about my story about last night and then several others told their
little nightmare sceanarios of dealing with Comcast.
I was suprised the girls didn't shut down the customer service windows. There was blood in the water and the
sharks were swimming in tight!
I was very glad that when I got up there the nice old lady could find my account, but she did tell me they changed my account
number after they sent the bill out. Huh? WHY?
I would kill for a better alternative in this town, but the Satallite services cost almost as much once you add internet.
Guess that's my rant for this week. I'm not allowed any more! HA!!!
I just wonder if I went in and kissed the old lady's ring and spoke in low tones and asked to see the father would I get an
offer I couldn't refuse. LOL
