If you wish to discuss gay sex, I am sure there are Threads wherein you will find more than enough opinions and comments. I am not all that 'learned" on the subject. As for playing it in it's entirety, I do believe that it will happen. They have said they want to and, let's face it, if they were worried about selling out arenas, they would have changed their style a LONG time ago. Perhaps went to screaming and indecipherable growling? I don't know. The thing is, they are at a point where they do not have to play to fifty thousand people in order to survive or remain relevant. They are far beyond that. We will see a Nostradamus ONLY show. Count on it. |

Strat, I believe "illudes" being mispelt the first time was what DF was poking fun at (in jest of course).

Lets be honest. Is Nostradamus in Priests top five albums? No. Top 10? Maybe but probably not. I'm sick of all the dooshbags on this site who keep going on about how great it is. I know everyones entitled to their own opinion and some members do legitimately love it but what I'm talking about are the kind of people who are not objective in any way. For example if someone was to say that they thought Nostradamus was a weak album and that it was a waste of money, you could guarantee a number of dickhead members would be all up in arms saying " hey man get your fucking head checked " or " fuck you Nostradamus rules " or some other brainless comment. These are the kind of bozos I can't stand. If Priest amplified a fart and recorded and released it these idiots would be saying it's one of the best things they've ever heard. I just hate that stupid, blind devotion and inability to differentiate between anything the band has done. I think these kind of fans detract from the site. Personally, I think the album is ok, good for what it is and a brave attempt to do something different but if Priest attempted to tour playing it in it's entirety they'd be playing in 500 seat halls.

For the love of all that is holy!! WHY is this crap splattered all over the news and TV?? Specials on this kid and his "tragic' death!! SO FREAKIN WHAT??? Kids die EVERYDAY! Lots of them. All just as meaningful to their families as this kid was to Vinnie Barbarino!!!... WHY is it that this particular child is SO friggin relevant to the earth that we need hours and HOURS of coverage on him?? Was he closing in on a cure for cancer?? Was he involved in peace negotiations in the Middle East? Did he discover a formula that will fix the US financial crisis? NO!!!! He was the son of an actor. Nothing more. His death is no more meaningful than any other child's. They are all extremely tragic, as are most passings.
I had to endure TWO hours of news last night with this kid as the "top story", then the Princess watches some Hollywood insider show that dedicated another hour and a half to him! Every commercial break went something like this, "When we return, more on this tragic loss. We will talk with the Travolta's dog to get his take, then we have an exclusive with a guy that was peeing at a gas station five blocks from the scene.." AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHH!!!!
I understand that John Travolta is a movie star. I actually like the guy. Great actor. But as far as I am concerned, his kid is no more important than anyone else's and all this sensationalism over it is sickening. |

I had to endure TWO hours of news last night with this kid as the "top story", then the Princess watches some Hollywood insider show that dedicated another hour and a half to him! Every commercial break went something like this, "When we return, more on this tragic loss. We will talk with the Travolta's dog to get his take, then we have an exclusive with a guy that was peeing at a gas station five blocks from the scene.." AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHH!!!!
I understand that John Travolta is a movie star. I actually like the guy. Great actor. But as far as I am concerned, his kid is no more important than anyone else's and all this sensationalism over it is sickening. |

Nah. We had tabloids and gossip pages in newspapers back in socialism. Its not really a matter of a socio-economic system... Its just people that want to see whats going on in another ones bedroom, particulary if that other one is rich and famous. And the basic hypocrisy, of course. Gloating on the sexual affairs of the famous, when you may have one yourself (speaking in general, of course, not about you). Makes people feel better about themselves, I guess.

Every commercial break went something like this, "When we return, more on this tragic loss. Oh, I so agree... I actualy remember that this story was out on the same day as the Israeli offensive in Gaza... And even on our news it got more attention!!! One kid dies, and just because he happened to be the son of a moviestar, we have to hear all about it... Oh, and of course, CNN Europe went on about it for half an hour at least... I mean, one, ONE kid died. How big a story can you make out of it? And at the same time, there are much more serious events going on in the middle East... No, that doesnt get into breaking news, because that would actualy make sense, and people would actualy want to hear about it!

I forgot to set my alarm to go off this morning and I woke up at 5:20 am so I totally missed my cycling club. My mate meets me at the top of my road and we go on a two hour ride. It's usually 35 km and we leave at 5 am. I need to be up at latest 4:30 am and I just can't believe I missed the ride because I forgot to make sure my fecking alarm was on. By the time I woke up they would've already been way out of town so I had to just miss the ride this morning. They had a laugh and just said that tomorrow's ride will just be a bit longer so that I can make up for lost km's.
I've already made sure my alarm is set lol. |

Freeze, I understand your frustration with the media spending hours and hours on this case. I believe the reason it received so much coverage is because apparently her Mother obviously killed her (or did she???) and she was very non-chalant about it, paryting as if it was no big deal her daughter was missing, etc. I think the more intriguing thing about this case is the Mother's mental status more than anything.

This has been one heck of a year in the old coaching world. Basically got the soccer team tossed in my lap also ! Parents realized that, although I'm no expert on the game, I now how to coach a hell of a lot better than the real coach and as much as I have tried to support the coach the team is looking to me. Well... I suppose the only thing that can be said is that your average child is physichaly weaker than your average adult, and its harder for it to put up a fight (btw. I intentionaly use "it" when talking about children).
Other than that, one of the rare occasions when we agree.
The only ones who have to "care" are the police. Its their job after all. Oh, and the kids family, obviously.
