My wife bought a Prietess Cd because of a song they have on Guitar Hero. I forget the name of it but you're right, they do sound like them. ...O.K.,so this one isn't for everyone, I'm not sure I even like it. It's sort of like cheesy 80's metal(glam) in it's sound                 just not so much with the look. Probably not a band most here will like but I think they're pretty heavy. I'm not the biggest fan of "growling" but I do like some of it. These guys are on "Mayhem" tour this year. I think the operative words there were "very old school" You got that right. From the album cover art to the sound, it would have fit right in on the Heavy Metal Soundtrack. Hahaha. Whenever you buy something on itunes or amazon check out the other stuff it recommends, sometimes you will be pleasantly surprised.
