if it was a old fiat i could probably help you out.my dad had a bunch of fiats had a couple spiders and bought some other fiats for parts at one point we barly had to shovel our driveway in the winter.lol. I've been very good with upkeep and maintenance.. it has had every service on due date since the day I bought it etc.

probably a problem with the accelorator cable. intermitent problems are the hardest to fix, but there is probably a simple way. not sure how the Fiat stuff is put together, and dont know much about Diesel, but if it were a gas car I think its probably a dirty linkage, or damage. unless you have a floor mat causing the pedal to hang up. Glad to say, I've never owned a car with a mind of it's own. Can you chalk that behavior up to personality?? I Don't think most cars do that, and I think I'd check on such a bizzare thing.
