I had not noticed an "uproar", however, I can speak for myself. The reason I get upset over useless Thread after useless thread is because it seems wasteful. Additionally, it is often a vehicle for troublemakers to promote some kind of nonsense that tends to suck in the new people and those among us that simply have no self- control. This, eventually, leads to problems with fighting, insults, profanity-laced tirades and finally, Murray stepping in to close it down. I find that somewhat disparaging to our membership. I believe we are better than that. If you do not share that belief, so be it.
We have an abundance of Threads. I am almost willing to declare that every topic that can be discussed, has been discussed (to paraphrase the US Patent Office) at some point or in some other Thread. Sandwich Threads, Bikini Threads, Alcohol Threads, Pimple Cream Threads, Butt Wart Threads. The list goes on and on. I do not expect you or anyone else to feel compelled to agree with me. It is just my opinion. That is something else we have an abundance of around this place.
In the past, I have teased people about their spelling and grammar, admonished some for poor behavior, participated in ridiculous silliness, argued with some, discussed relevant issues and so on, but I have never, ever had the need to create a Thread. Anything I have wished to say has fit quite nicely into one of the hundreds we already have. In any event, I am certain the practice of creating Threads that are absolutely useless will continue. And I can assure you I will always complain about it. That is my right, too.

Yes I have read it... And yes I saw maiden with priest many many years ago.. when they toured together.. I thought priest blew them off the stage..

| Has anyone read Judas Priest Heavy Metal Painkillers ? I like Maiden but this bothers me. Haha, yes I recall going to Europe and thinking.... I don't want to leave. Two of my friends went to England to teach for a year..... they've been back here once for a holiday... hahaha it's been 4 years so far! I love Australia and do not wish to leave it permanently but it would be nice to enjoy some more of the privledges that the Northern Hemisphere seems to enjoy..
I live in the suburbs of Brisbane, about 10km's from city central. Maleny is very beautiful I have been to the hinterland up in that area. I love the cafes and little shops they have lining the one main street type thing. Im a former country girl so i like that relaxed community lifestyle. Have you been to Brisbane before?

Excuse my language for just a moment......... THOSE SMUG BASTARDS!!!!!! I remember seeing those camera wielding jerks with their smug looks on their faces...... I'm trapped behind the barrier and they got a fricken free ticket to mingle with the band and all they have to do is take a couple of pictures.... I wanted to jump the barrier and start a fight, I was pissed off. Half of them probably have no appreciation for good music, let alone the bands they are photographing................... AND obviously have no respect for the true fans....... THEY PLAYED THEIR FIRST EVER CONCERT HERE IN BRISBANE AUSTRALIA AND WE GET NOTHING?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Who the hell do i email to register my disgust with? Im pissed off big time.................. It's need to be vented on the people who are holding these concert photos for ransom.
LOL, just picturing myself hanging some smug photographer by the strap on their camera eases the pain slightly...... ahh..... |

All I have to say is that those "photographers" need to be btfued for being so stupid as to NOT have their photos uploaded here.
Goddamn, photographers aren't the smartest lettuce in the cabbage patch, are they? Unless it's to create negative publicity, then they're all over the place, the c****.
All they like to do is grip that expensive camera of theirs and wank it around like a bright pink dildo and get free beer because of it.
Only fully metallic camera men deserve less than a spanking with a pigs tail whip.

Well, i guess its just that countries like ours are not interesting for them. But then again... At least they had a show at your end, while we over here are still waiting for it. 17 years since the last show is a lot.

Tell me about it. The only show that was within my reach (in Zagreb) got canceled, and fuck knows if theyre going to reschedule it, or just let it go. That there would be no pictures from it, that kinda goes without saying.

I'm so angry at the rest of the world right now, Damn Europe and U.S it's like nothing else exists... They get to experience more concerts, more frequently and don't get me started on music festivals.... God forbid we have any good one's here. Band signings are few and far between I'm sick of getting stiffed down here... Maybe if i yell, kick, scream loud enough I might get a response.

I'm with you on the photos. Why aren't there enough photos from the rest of the world? Does the photographer hate to travel or something? Sheesh...
I can't imagine what it must be like for all of you guys living south of the equator, a place where bands rarely tour. I imagine it's just plain too expensive for them to haul all the equipment all the way down there, especially in today's economy. The difference in weather must make it even more difficult.
Anyway, let's hope Judas Priest can return there next year. And with more photos!!!!

Most USBs like the Cruzer run with U3 which would allow you to install all sorts of programs / browsers on it. A 4GB goes for about $20 if you catch a special at WallyWorld. I have a few of them but rely more on an external harddrive as deal with very large files. Popped an old 100GB harddrive out of an old laptop and just bought a $10 enclosure. Works like a giant USB drive and you can install entire operating systems on it. THAT'LL teach them bastich IT guys!
