Sometimes us metal gods and goddesses must be martyrs for those pityfull EJ fans, for they know not better. So. I'm afraid you will have to go forth and protect the poor pregnant soul. (lol) Ok you could take your ipod with loaded up with JP tracks or maybe MM is right, you may actually get into a few of the numbers... Just don't wear your Priest shirt those timid piano loving fans may look harmless but you never know!!! I was forced to go and see EJ a few years back here in Buffalo! The thought sickened me!! lol BUT it did wind up being an enjoyable show when he did classics. He opened with that slow Lion King tune which I though was dumb!! He did do Bitch is back and Saturday nights all right for fighting and other rockin classics. I am sure you will enjoy yourself.... Has anyone here heard of a song called Glenn Tipton by Sun Kil Moon? It is a rather mellow song but still inspired by our two favorite guitar players. Here are the lyrics and youtube link:
Cassius Clay was hated more than Sonny Liston
Some like KK Downing more than Glenn Tipton
Some like Jim Nabors, some Bobby Vinton
I like 'em all
I put my feet up on the coffee table
I stay up late watching cable
I like old movies with Clarke Gable
Just like my dad does
Just like my dad did when he was home
Staying up late, staying up alone
Just like my dad did when he was thinking
Oh, how fast the years fly
I know an old woman ran a doughnut shop
She worked late serving cops
But then one morning, baby, her heart stopped
Place ain’t the same no more
Place ain’t the same no more
Not without my friend, Eleanor
Place ain’t the same no more
Man, how things change
I buried my first victim when I was nineteen
Went through her bedroom and the pockets of her jeans
And found her letters that said so many things
That really hurt me bad
I never breathed her name again
But I liked to dream about what could have been
I never heard her calls again
But I like to dream

I saw the same picture and have a pretty good idea as to where he lives. I read an article yesterday that say he lived in Paradise Valley, which is beautiful. Funny because it was the first place I drove through my first visit into Phoenix and thought, 'Wow! Phoenix is beautiful', I didn't realize I was in the one place it actually is nice. HA! Your exactly right though, I would respect his privacy, it would be nice to attempt to bumb into him, it wouldn't be difficult, what would be difficult is to know when he would be here. He has several homes all over the world, so it would take some stalking to get info and don't need to end up in jail. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Monday, September 15, 2008 5:59:02 PM) | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Hey, HAI !! Good to hear frrom you, man. Nice update as well. Good luck on finding Rob's house. Don't know where it is but he complained about it having been posted online (address, that is) in the recent JP Rockline interview. I have also seen him do an interview from a house in AZ. Not sure it was the same house where he currently resides but there was a shot or two looking out onto the city from his pool area. Someone who knew the area well might be able to put 2 + 2 together.
Personally, I'd respect his privacy but wouldn't it be cool to bump into him in at one of those places us "commoners" frequent? "Why Mr. Halford, I had no idea that you shopped at Walmart too! Did you hear about the sale at J.C. Penny's?" HAAAAAAA!!!!!! | | Hard as Iron wrote: | | It has been ages since I've last posted. I wanted to let you all know, those who advised me about a year ago to just pick up and go with my heart, I will tell you it worked and thank you so much. My wife and three kids came out to Phoenix, AZ, no job lined up and our lives packed up in a Honda minivan and Corolla. We stayed with my parents until we could got situated. I also have my wife to thank because she was the driving force behind it all.
My status now is that I've had a job for two months and we are all settled in living in Mesa, AZ, so if anyone lives in the area, holla at me. Along with this new chapter in my life, also came this superb album that I can relate to in so many ways. Not only has the music been able to ground me and help me through some stressful moments, it has also allowed me to connect with songs like, Exile, Alone, Peace, Sands of time etc..
CROSS OVER THE MOUNTAINS
AND VALLEYS SO WIDE
I WALK AS I WONDER
WITH HOPE BY MY SIDE
ALL MY FRIENDS ARE FAR AWAY
HOW I MISS MY HOME
WHERE DO I FIND PEACE OF MIND
GUIDE ME AS I ROAM
I CRY FOR YOU
These lyrics say it all. Now that I am here, hopefully I can find out where Rob hangs out, since he lives somewhere in the valley.
If anyone has any info on how their performance was and the set list, please let me know, I would appreciate it. Keep the Faith!

Well, I know that they HAD one (look at old LPs and you'll find the address) but I really couldn't say if they ever updated it. Best line of communication that I have seen in recent times is KK's site. Receives and responds. I know of folks who have managed to get things to the band by way of Jayne but I have no direct confirmation of such a thing. Surely, others on the site here do. "Comparisons to Carla and KatrinaIke is larger than Katrina was, both in its radius of tropical storm force winds--275 miles--and in it radius of hurricane force winds--115 miles. For comparison, Katrina's tropical storm and hurricane force winds extended out 230 and 105 miles, respectively. Ike's surge will probably rival the massive storm surge of Hurricane Carla of 1961. Carla was a Category 4 hurricane with 145 mph winds at landfall, and drove a 10 foot or higher storm surge to a 180-mile stretch of Texas coast. A maximum storm surge of 22 feet was recorded at Port Lavaca, Texas. Despite the fact that the center of Carla hit over 120 miles southwest of Houston, the hurricane drove a 15-foot storm surge into the bays along the south side of the city. Ike's maximum surge is not likely to reach the extreme values above 20 feet seen in Hurricane Carla, though."

GAAAAA!!!!! Damn good info to know! I am in TN in massive storm country where electrical codes are mere suggestions. Lost power today, in fact. Clear, windless day. Just happens all the time. The "grounding" in this house is just a joke.
Thanks a BUNCH for that little tidbit, Healer. Something to ask the ol' invisible fence guy when he shows up for more training tomorrow. Wire surrounds both my big wooden house and pool. Let's hope he knew what he was doing...keep ya' posted or, if you never hear from me again, you'll know what happened! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Healer from Thursday, September 11, 2008 6:55:41 PM) | | Healer wrote: | | Just a little word of caution. Make sure your electrical system is well grounded and even then, be careful. Our neighbor and friends house got struck by lightning a few weeks ago. Although it struck a tree about a hundred yards back, it traveled through their invisible dog fence and caused a fire that destroyed their home and killed both their dogs. So if your going to be gone for a while and there is a chance of thunderstorms you should disconnect your system. | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Think I should use it? Maybe I'll play better. Naaaahhhhh!
On another note, big developments 'round the house here. Got an invisible fence installed today. No more puppies tormenting the neighborhood! I would like to have given them an acre or so to run around but them mutts are diggers. Decided to just do a small area around the side of the house. Man, you should have seen them puppies jump when shocked for the first time! Real training starts bright and early tomorrow. Local dog whisperer is planning to show up bright and early meaning that I am gonna have to be off far earlier than normal. Looks like it works from first impressions... | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | All black and in gold lettering... very impressive. I'll bet it has supernatural powers!!...
