Motorhead was awesome for sure...I was hoping they'd play Going to Brazil-I love that song!
NOW they need to play Bomber next time i see them and I'd be REALLY happy! 01 Dr. Rock
02 Stay Clean
03 Be My Baby
04 Killers
05 Metropolis
06 Over The Top
07 In The Name Of Tragedy
08 Mickey Dee Drum Solo
09 In The Name Of Tragedy Part II
10 Going To Brazil
11 Killed By Death
12 Ace Of Spades
13 Lemmy Speaks
14 Overkill
As you could guess, I already have a copy. They rocked! I've always been a big fan of Motorhead too. | | Where AmI wrote: | | I've been dying to hear from you how the Dallas show went, thank you, guidogodoy. I am waiting for pictures now, blurry and all
What sucks is that when people pay hundreds of dollars for the meet and greet, they get bullshit over the phone. Absolute crap, that you had to hide your camera!
Do you remember all the songs from the JP set and do you know well Motorhead to tell me which ones they played?
Testament are thrash. They're the coolest thrash around. I remember they weren't so heavy when I first listened to Souls of Black eons ago. They seem to get heavier with the years. (No pun. No pun at all.)
Wishing you a speedy recovery.. | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Ok, this might just rank up there with the "most metal thing" I have done (not really) but there is a pretty good story that goes along with the pictures. Obviously, the concert was great. VIP was funny as we got there early and, as many know, Guitardude and I had the great luck of getting seats one apart in row two. We said...sorry for the guy between us. Lo and behold, the first guy we meet? The guy between us!! LOL!!! What the hell kinda luck is THAT?! Still feel sorry for that fellow.
Obviously, got a camera into the venue. Called and they told us "no problem" the day of the event but, apparently, they didn't tell the staff as they were really cracking down on cameras. I took 124+ shots but many were blurry because I had to literally "whip it out" (Blazing Saddles, LOL!) and shoot without flash. Damn guys kept moving. At one point, Glenn looked right at me, struck a pose and then mouthed "did you get it?" Sadly, I didn't! Blurry!! Ah well.
Testament I had seen before and wasn't really interested but, as I was there, went down and caught their 30 min set. I liked it, actually. Almost flipped off my chair to catch a drumstick they threw, in fact (more on this subject in a sec). JUST missed it. Ah well. MOTORHEAD was freakin' awesome!! I have also seen them many a time but they were right on. Lemmy plays a bass like no one I have ever seen. Down and dirty rock and roll. Great!
I went out to people watch and met some great people. Some from here, some from the Q. People kinda identified me as a Priest fan and just introduced themselves. I got to hold a Glenn pick that someone caught at a previous concert (thinner than I would have imagined). Saw a poster from someone who entered into the poster competition here. HE should have won, IMO. Heaven and Hell was good but, of course, I am a diehard Priest fan. Caught a Tony I pick, though.
PRIEST was damn awesome. People have described the set better than I. I was just a headbanging fool. Spot on in vocals and, as always, the guitarwork was outstanding.
Ok, now the sad part...as a few of you know, I broke (at least) one rib! LOL!!! Priest fan that I am, I had to get the last shots with my camera at the finale. I stood up on my folding chair to snap a shot over the head of the guy in front of me and WHOOPS, over the back of the chair I went! Wish THAT picture had turned out! Me pointing up at the sky! LOL!!! Hell, those who know ribs know that it is like breaking a toe. Nothing to do but suck it up, eh? Barely hurts when you are dancing on cloud nine!
Moral of the story? I'd do it again in a heartbeat!! (I'd just wear better shoes...haaaaa!!!!!!) |

As you could guess, I already have a copy. They rocked! I've always been a big fan of Motorhead too.

I'm pissed (or sad) my friend died so suddnely no one got a chance to say good-bye-she left behind a severely autistic kid who never even knew her-thats how bad the autism is...sigh-im done venting.
Thank God I have concerts and work to go to-get my mind off thinking about this shit. And I have pots and pans to unpack. |

The worst part of moving is going through all your stuff to pack it up or see what you can throw out. I accumulated at lot of things in a couple years-mostly Nascar collectibles and movies. And books. How the hell did i get so many books?v And since when did the dogs get more boxes dedicated to them than I did? LOL

But what you don't know is that it is a night prowler, an evil creature out to suck the blood of innocent victims. You too have fallen prey to its cuteness and live mesmerized by those big brown eyes.

I should get some sleep as well. It was good talking with you again! Goodnight. Anyway, I should get to sleep. Almost forgot I still have to work tomorrow. Goodnight, Demoncat!!! See you again soon!!! | | DemonCat wrote: | | I can't afford to do that. I'm still picking up whatever extra hours I can. As is Lisa. In fact tomorrow she's going in a half hour early to open the store. It'll be her first day running the shift without our store manager there. He'll be in to relieve her around 3 p.m., but then I'll be off to work as soon as she gets home. I'm the closing delivery driver tomorrow night, and Lisa will be asleep by time I get home at 1a.m. I'm not getting any time with her on days like that. It is getting rough. I miss her alot when it happens that way. (Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Wednesday, August 27, 2008 12:17:47 AM)

It was the same thing for me when I first got my job. I usually wouldn't get home until 11:00 P.M. (PST), so I would spend most of the night reading the day's posts. I was missing the Board alot the first few days, since I would be the only one still posting at 12:00 A.M. the next day. Now its not too busy, so I can leave from work earlier than usual.

On a more serious note...I thought I'd actually have more time to come on here to spend with you all, but Megan, housework, and spending what time I can with Lisa, and Jason when I'm not at work, keeps me pretty busy. I do miss everyone alot, and being here this little is an adjustment. For one...I'm always a few hundred posts behind whenever I do get time to check out the posts. Lynyrd Skynyrd's song "That smell" comes to mind.
Sorry, I'm not used to the lack of sleep since Lisa got the job, and I'm just in an over-tired silly mood.

I've been good, thanks. Working, and taking care of Megan when I'm at home, and Lisa's at work. It's all working out pretty good so far. Megan's slow to adjust to Lisa being gone, but it seems better each day. (Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Tuesday, August 26, 2008 11:44:25 PM)
