But, I am glad Priest have done a concept album, it has given us a taste of something rather outside the square for Priest, and heaven knows I enjoy things that are a bit obscure lol! | Nostradamus is not a "great" album at all. Sorry guys,but this album is an "overkill" to the listener and is too long of an album to get into in my opinion,this album is very boring compared to Angel Of Retribution or any of Priest's best albums.Nostradamus is an overkill...too much slow ballad material on this album,this may have destroyed this wonderful band? Who knows...maybe Nostradamus was Priest's last album? Could very well have been.If so...not a good album to go out on a bang with. |

I for one is actually quite pleased they didn't concentrate on Nostradamus!
But is does strike me as strange they played so little of it, considering this was the Nostradamus tour.
Most bands tend to do a fair few songs from their latest release when on tour.
Priest made heavy hints that they were going to do concerts in which they would play all of Nostradamus.
Now they've dropped that and they're going to do the whole of an album released 28 years ago!
Lack of confidence in the new product?

| I think that this album is a piece of metal BRILLIANCE. The songs identify with a wide range of emotions and a band that can make you sit up and take notice of whats going on in YOUR world, well, what can I say. I saw these guys in Brisbane for the first time , Im 44 and been a Priest fan since I was 16. The blood sweat and tears the boys put into such an EPIC is blood y well appreciated. Thanks Bev! I love this record, and have no idea when this insane madness will end. As long as this record keeps me going, and the enjoyment it brings listening to it, i will not stop! Priest has made an epic, and i appreciate every bit of sweat and work they put into it! Yes the Rock Hall is in Cleveland, and there are so many more bands that belong in it. Its absurd some bands that deserve to be in are not!

I know this thread is about Nostra. In the bigger picture, J, that's some dedication. You can carry the torch for as long as it takes. It may just get this band the recognition it deserves. If I'm not mistaken, the R&R HoF is in Cleveland?

You know, on my way to work today it hits me that I have listened to Nostra just about every day (if NOT every day...I don't keep track) since I got a copy. It is in constant play in my car. Sure, I don't sit and listen to the WHOLE album everyday but it really isn't uncommon for me to listen to it on the way to the gym and carry it over on an iPod AT the gym. Not really difficult to even listen to the both CDs while on a long run at the gym.
I will defend this album to the death. I think it is just a freakin' masterpiece. |

| I too was "intrigued" by the song titles of NSTDMS before the release. Then you listen to it more than a few times and you realize how long and boring it is. Too much drivel and not enough hard rockin style substance.. I'll be hard pressed to see it live in its entirety, unless they include some classics at the end..MpleSyrp |

Thankyou..... They are my favourite band ever, so why wouldn't I listen to them everyday?. I don't watch T.V or read much, the only form of media I like is music. I spend most of my day listening to music... at home, in the work car, when i go driving to the shops, when i socialise etc. Music is a big part of my life.. So i guess as it is a huge part of other peoples lives, if they choose to listen to one particular band or album for any period of time i'm not going to judge them. Enjoy the good tunes... get lost in it....float away. We all know it's better than abusing alcohol and drugs to achieve the same means.

| Jackylone, I personally don't see anything wrong with listening to Nostradamus once a day. I used to listen to Kiss Alive! once a day -- of course part of that reason was figuring out what the hell Peter Criss was hitting and when during 100,000 Years!
