Tonight will be interesting too. Apparently, the North Korean team is a total enigma. Two players play in Japan, one in Russia, but all the rest play in North Korea, and there just doesnt seem to be any information about the quality of the team. Well, if there needs to be a winner, there are tie-brakers. Not in leagues, or group stages of tournaments, when teams play for points (3 for a victory, 1 for draw, 0 for losing), but in knock-out games, there additional time of two times 15 minutes, if there is no victor after that, theres penalty shootouts. Football has "overtime". It is a "sudden death" format which means the first team to score wins (College rules are a bit different). Baseball goes until there is a winner. No time limits. I have seen games that were suspended until the next day but that does not seem to happen anymore. They just keep playing until there is a victor. Well, I was rooting for Paraguay. I was delighted when they scored, and not so much when the Macaroners equalised. Good game overall. Is it just me, or is this world cup really a bit of a drag? It is a complete fallacy that Americans aren't into the World Cup (or football in general). We all play and there are far too many hispanics here to believe it. Just not a great commercial success due to lack of airtime, promotion, etc.

I have a lot of Italian friends who would kill me if I turned on them and rooted for Paraguay which is tough so I'm under obligation to root for Italia lol... Just walked in to see them score that awesome goal though so it looks like another nail biting match!
Woops, missed that LOL! Sure I'll see it on the news after work. Watching Paraguay vs Italy at the moment, not sure who to cheer for, they're in our pool and the race for second could be close so hmmm.
