I can't remember what the first Priest album I listened to (my parents listened to Priesta and metal before I was even born...  ) but the first one I remember I heard was Painkiller when I was looking in my dad's CD rack and then I see the Metal Monster and Painkiller and I'm like, "This looks damn familiar... didn't my dad have a shirt with that??" then I sneak it out of his rack and listen to the whole album and I'm all like,  in love with Rob's voice. |

That is very inspirational, GM. And, welcome to the Board! Always good to have someone near my age join our group!! I have a 28 year old daughter and she has her own family but she never showed interest in Metal. My oldest grandson likes some Priest! There is still hope!!! HAHAHAHAAA!!!!!!

| Visiting a friend who got my brother and I into KISS. We had every giant poster there was. Our friend put on British Steel album.......and we went home and took down every KISS poster we had. This was 1980. My brother reluctantly took me to my first concert in '81 for Point of Entry with Maiden opening. Saw them everytime they came around since. Now I'm 41 and my twelve year old has already seen them TWICE with me.....Priest Forever |

The first Priest album I ever heard was Screaming for Vengeance. My brother brought it home and I took one look at that cover and thought, holy shit here we go. I grabbed my Walkman but he had the album cued up and playing before I could rewind my tape. I froze when I heard the first notes of The Hellion. And then when the second guitar came in and played harmony to the first, it took my breath away. Of course then Rob's voice came out of those speakers and I was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY!! A Priest fan was born ! I'd finally found what I was looking for in music - passion, heart, soul, harmony, melody, attitude and incredible talent all rolled up into one! |
