LOL, old side of life?? Most youth I see today seem to think life is all about Twilight and other nonsense - ah well, they seem to grow out of it eventually LOL!

Yes, JP are professionals and they always put out 100% so I'm sure that they will play just as energetic to 5,000 as they would to 16,000 people. I also can not believe the popularity of these crap musicians proliferating the music scene. It's all due to corporate pushes which determine which music gets the advertisement and play. There are some bands that draw big crowds with zero radio and corporate selling (Phish comes immediately to mind) but they are few and far between. JP are the metal godfathers and a return to their roots will help sales (no more Nostradamus, Turbo or RID nonsense), look at AC/DC selling out huge arenas.  JP was more popular then AC/DC but Turbo, RID and Rob leaving and I believ Nostradamus killed JP's momentum.  Edited at: Friday, July 24, 2009 7:18:32 PM

Since I was there afterall! And where is the copy of the pick that bounced off of me into your greedy hands! HA!!! You know I'm kidding. I'm over it now. Well, on my way to being over it! HA!!

Maybe Bex is getting on the old side of life.
The youth of today knows what is good music like I did. And when they get my age they'll find real anti-establishment doesn't come from a label.

HA! I agree Freeze, a lot of people, especially the youth of today, wouldn't know good music if it bit them on the bum. Hell, even my MUM, who is 50 next year, seems to think Lady GaGa is fantastic - when she came and stayed with me for a couple of days we drove around in her car, Lady GaGa playing the WHOLE TIME! OMG what crapulence that is, it's absolute rubbish!

What OneShot said below was absolutely accurate. That is what I truly LOVE about Priest. Having come from the Detroit show that was, as you so accurately describe as PACKED, I wasn't expecting anything close to that in Nashville. Smaller venue, country musiclandia on a rainy Wednesday night (only similarity to Detroit). Still, Priest absolutely KILLED! When the lights went on the crowd, you could easily see all the empty seats but that didn't stop the Mighty Priest from putting their all into the set.

That is what I call true professionalism.

You know, I saw them in 1979 and there was maybe 1500-2000 people. Saw them in the 80s and there would have been well over fifteen THOUSAND. Saw them recently in Detroit and that little place was packed! Had to be eight thousand there! When we go to the Vegas show in a couple weeks, I doubt there will be more than three or four thousand, if that.  They just do not draw well here. I suppose that could be indicative of their popularity now. I mean, they are not going to draw 20 thousand anymore and they know that. The music is not as popular. I saw today that Beyonce is doing THREE shows here and the first two are sold out. Tickets are $1100 a PIECE!!! YEESH!!

They are great at what they do and will always have a following but, as I have often mentioned, the public by and large are idiots. They would not know good, quality music if it were shoved up their...... well, you get the idea. Thus the proliferation of the Britney Spears and Lady Gagas of the world.

I'VE SEEN PRIEST 65-70 TIMES AND THEY NEVER EVER PUT ON ANYTHING LESS THAN A SPECTACULAR SHOW. I SAW HALFORD (FIGHT) AT A SMALL CLUB IN BROOKLYN NEW YORK AND AT B.B. KINGS RESTURANT IN MANHATTAN, MAYBE 500 - 1000 PEOPLE AND IT WAS AWSOME.

Yeah, but what I love about Priest is that they give it their all regardless of the crowd size.  I have seen them play for 20,000 people and for 2,500 people and the energy and passion were the same.  The economy sucks and the curiosity of the reunion tour is behind them so it is tougher, but again they put on an awesome show in Cincy.

OneShot - Man how the times have changed, JP even with Whitesnake can't sellout a 5,000 seat venue! Man, I hope they draw more then that for their show at Merriweather Post because that place holds at least 16,000 people!  I remember when JP was easily packing 20,000 seat arenas.

His language and "internet tough guy" antics seem very familiar. One hundred dollar bet that "JTTOOCOOL" is just another one of J.D. DIAMOND's (a.k.a. DARRYN HELOFFS) fake accounts.
Touché

Thanks JD Diamond & Valiant 3.0 for your support I just wanted this asshole exposed is all. And to Dave Genocide...that was unfortunate you didn't hear Hell Patrol considering soon enough into the US tour they did change RHRF for Hell Patrol.

Hey DoggieDogma - I was at the Cincy show last night and would guess there was roughly 4,000 people there in a venue that holds 5,000.  It was an amazing show.  Whitesnake put on a good show and I actually didn't mind PopEvil, but I am always amazed by how Priest just takes it to a different level.  They are so tight and Rob's voice was as good as I have heard it since they have been back together.  Awesome show!
[doggiedogma] Wednesday, July 22, 2009 8:38:54 PM

So I'm going to assume that the attendance at the shows have been sparse, let me know if I'm wrong.

[Mr. Dave Genocide] Wednesday, July 22, 2009 8:03:07 PM
I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't get to hear HELL PATROL live on this tour... Don't get me wrong, I love RHRF, but Hell Patrol is one of my favourite songs off of Painkiller (thanx. to one Scott Travis!)

I'll still say this, Priest absolutely electrified (July 3rd) the night when I saw them live! And fireworks after the show? Amazing.  Can't wait to see 'em again!
